Darkchild “Reinventing” Britney

Grammy award-winning producer Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins says he’s working on ‘reinventing’ Britney Spears.

The producer last week told Rap-Up TV in LA that he’s working on some ‘very dancey, really up-tempo, aggressive, catchy, and hook friendly’ material for the singer’s next album.

He said: ‘I’m trying some new things [with Spears] … I’ve always worked with Britney and I love working with her.’

Jerkins last worked with Britney seven years ago on her self-titled album on two tracks, Overprotected and I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll.

And despite Spear’s extremely rocky year – including hospitalisations and an on-going custody battle with Kevin Federline – the producer insists that her work ethic has stayed the same. ‘She’s always professional,’ he says, and, while other stars sometimes take a long time to record a song, during a recent studio session, ‘Britney walked in at 8.30 and was out by 10.30′.

As far as how she seems emotionally, Jerkins added: ‘She’s working on the positive side.’

And producer Sean Garrett, who is set to work on Britney’s new record, also recently told People magazine: ‘I know she’s been doing a lot better … You just want to give her the opportunity to get things back together.’

And it seems her personal life is, slowly but surely, doing just that: she spent the weekend getting in some much-needed mother-and-son time, with Preston and Jayden staying over the night at her Studio City home.

    Hi Britney,
    Working on the POSITIVE side; that’s what I like to hear!!! The math songs and original Disney lyrics and tunes are still immensely popular!!! It would be great to sing the original M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E song to the kids!!! And in a beautiful Belle ball gown, wouldn’t it? I think so!!! And with all sorts of paper dolls and lunch boxes with you on them!!! That would be fun too!!!

    Hey girl i hope you stay strong b/c life as you know it aint easy i got problems up to my brains but i always look up to god for guidince sometimes it is to late but he always catches up to me for help i dont know if you ever read these things but i just wanted to put a piece of my mind out there to read if you ever get a chance to read this
