The legendary house that Britney retreated to after her breakdown has officially sold… for half of the asking price. The asking price was originally 10.8 million dollars but sold for 5.6 million in an auction on Friday. Keep in mind Britney never owned the house but is said to have put in $700,000 worth of improvements in the house.

“These auction events are becoming more popular for high-end buyers in a slow market and the celebrity aspect of this property brought a great crowd,” said real estate associate Billy Dolan
