Britney Says No to TV Series Second Season

Posted by Rajiv at 10:59 PM | Comments

TV  Hollywood.com reported that Britney Spears and husband Kevin Federline have dismissed rumors they are going back in front of the camera for a second series of their reality show.

Britney and Kevin: Chaotic aired on UPN to dismal ratings and even worse reviews.

Recent media reports claimed Spears was so tired of the speculation about her marriage that she was wanted to film a second season to put all rumors to rest.

Spears publicist Leslie Sloane Zelnick has hit back at the reports, telling Hollywood columnist Perez Hilton, "Britney is not doing a second season of Chaotic. It's not true."

The first season of the show included Spears bragging about her lengthy lovemaking sessions and begging her future husband for sex.

NBC's Matt Lauer Interviews Britney

Posted by Rajiv at 11:27 AM | Comments

TV  MSNBC reported that in an emotional and candid interview with NBC's Matt Lauer, pop icon Britney Spears talks about the state of her marriage, motherhood, the tabloids criticism about her skills as a mom, and why the paparazzi have gone too far. The exclusive interview will air on Thursday, June 15 on "Today" 7 a.m. and "Dateline" (9 p.m.)

In the interview at her home, Lauer asks Spears why she is speaking out now and she explains that the tabloids have gone too far by intruding on her private moments and taking photographs of her on private property. "They've crossed the line a little bit," says Spears, "...they like to have the person they pick on, I feel like I'm a target."

Despite the tabloids reports of trouble on the home front, Spears shares with Lauer that her marriage with Kevin Federline is "awesome," and that the reports of Kevin living in the basement are false. She talks about why she loves him, and reveals to Lauer, "He helps me. He has to. I'm (an) emotional wreck right now." When asked if she feels people are rooting against her marriage, Spears says she doesn't know, "If they are that's sad. I think everybody should be 'pro love.'"

Spears also shares with Lauer that motherhood is amazing, and opens up about the incident on Pacific Coast Highway where she was photographed with her son, Sean, on her lap in the car. She discusses the events that led to the situation and ultimately says, "I can't go anywhere without someone judging me...I did it with my dad. I'd sit on his lap and I drive. We're country." When asked if she was upset by the headlines that ensued questioning her parental judgment, Spears defends herself, saying, "I know I'm a good mom."

Towards the end of the interview, Spears gets very emotional when she talks about wanting the paparazzi to leave her alone. Lauer asks her what would she say to them as individuals not a group and Spears reaches out, "You have babies at home. And...you have a life. And if you don't, you have to realize that we're people and that we ... just need privacy and we need our respect. And those are things that you have to have as a human being."

Britney Could Star On New Sitcom

Posted by Rajiv at 12:47 PM | Comments

TV  Hollywood.com reported that Britney has met with Will & Grace star Sean Hayes and a group of producers to discuss joining the cast of a new sitcom.

The 24-year-old attended the meeting to talk about a role in an ensemble sitcom about teachers, tentatively titled Detention.

During the two-hour meeting in late February, the singer read lines from a script and confessed she was "aching to give acting a go," according to Us Weekly magazine.

Spears guest starred alongside Hayes on Will & Grace last month, appearing as a conservative talk show host.
A source close to the actor says, "Having seen the way Britney works, he knows she has potential."

One of the producers' main concerns was that the pop star was pregnant with her second child.

The source adds, "First, she laughed and said, 'Do I look it?' Then she assured them that she wouldn't jeopardize a new project.

"Britney is up for it. Everyone will be meeting again soon."
