Britney on ET this Monday
Be sure to watch ET this Monday. Britney will be on. Presumably they're gonna show her Cancer Forum charity event which is happening in Lousiana over the weekend. As you all know Britney's Aunt Sandra suffers from cancer and this forum is in part to benefit her. Be sure to watch ET on Monday. As usual it comes on at 7:30pm on CBS.

Durst Dishes Alleged Britney Nookie On Howard Stern Show
MTV reported that the he-said/she-said between Britney Spears and Fred Durst went into overdrive Thursday morning when the Limp Bizkit frontman offered intimate details about his professional and personal relationship with the singer on Howard Stern's syndicated radio show.

"I swear on my son Dallas' baby blue eyes I was telling the truth [about our relationship]," said a groggy Durst, who admitted to being out late the night before. Stern and his crew egged him on for salacious details for about a half an hour.

"This [relationship] went on for a little while, that's what's pretty unbelievable about this crap she's saying," Durst said of Spears' recent statements that she barely knows the Limp Bizkit singer.

"It wouldn't have been kiss and tell if I hadn't been responding to my fans," Durst said, discussing posts (now removed) on his band's Web site in which he appeared to be reveling in a blossoming relationship with Spears (see "Durst Furthers Britney-Romance Rumors With Online Post").

After pressure from Stern, Durst claimed that after several nights of working together on tracks for Britney's new album, the singer invited him back to her Los Angeles home along with a group of her family and friends.

When asked if the invitation led to a one-night fling, Durst responded, "That would be uncool for me to answer," though he did say that "what I say in my music is very real" and then quoted the lyrics of a new, unnamed Limp Bizkit song: "Ain't it funny, scared to admit it/ Very first night made the Limp dog hit it."

Britney Intervention?
MuchMusic.com reported that The New York Post's Page Six gossip column reports today that Britney Spears' mother and manager staged an "intervention" for the pop star. The report may stem from a tabloid report in The Sun last week that Britney was seen using cocaine in a Miami nightclub - an allegation that led Britney's people to threaten The Sun with a defamation lawsuit. The Post reports that a Britney rep declined comment on the intervention story.

Britney to Perform in November in Denmark
Britney to perform at Junior Eurovision Song Contest
The first Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Copenhagen on November 15, 2003.

It is expected to be hosted by Ronan Keating.

Robbie Williams, Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears are expected to perform.

All contestants must be aged 8 to 15 years old on the day of their national final. They must have written and composed their song themselves, with no professional help.

15 EBU members will take part in the two hour show, representing Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, FYR Macedonia, Germany, Greece, Latvia, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, UK.

The result will be decided by international televoting, and the winning song will be released internationally by EMI.

Britney Surprise Guest on SNL
Britney made a surprise guest appearance as herself on SNL (Saturday Night Live) this weekend. She claimed her and Will Ferrell have been more than dating and live together on a farm. It was a quick thing during weekend update segment.

Britney lost her two Grammy noms
If you tuned into the Grammys tonight, Britney lost both her nominations to Norah Jones. Can't say I'm really surprised, Grammys do this everytime. Oh well better luck next time Brit. Your fans still love you!

Oh and it turned out that Britney decided not to go last minute. Supposedly she was recording.

Britney Fights Drug Allegations
IMDB.com reported that Britney Spears is suing an American magazine after they claimed she took cocaine in a Florida nightclub. US tabloid The Star quotes a member of the sexy singer's entourage claiming Britney snorted the class A drug in the VIP toilets of the Crobar Club in Miami on November 14 last year. The un-named source tells Star, "Britney was in town to listen to work producers had done on her next album. We spent the next two hours drinking and dancing, mostly with other friends of hers. Britney kept on twitching her nose. Later, I was told that a friend of hers purchased some coke earlier in the evening and her friends started snorting at the club before I arrived." The source adds, "We were just sitting around a table when one of her other guy friends turned to her, me and another girl and said, 'Let's go.' No one made any mention that we were going down to do some coke. We just silently followed him away from the table and toward the VIP bathroom. Once we were in, the guy cleans off the toilet top with a tissue and then takes out some cocaine. Using his driver license, he chopped it up into four lines." The friend says Britney took a dollar bill after the friend used it to snort up the cocaine and did a line herself. He says, "When we were finished, Britney turned to the girl and said, 'Check me, check me,' rocked her head back and motioned toward her nose.' The friend inspected Britney's nostrils as Britney rubbed them, saying, 'You look okay.' Then Britney checked the girl's nose to make sure none of the white powder was showing before they left the bathroom." But the superstar has reacted furiously to the allegations. Her spokeswoman Nathalie Moar tells British tabloid The Sun, "There is absolutely no truth to this story whatsoever. Lawyers for Miss Spears are filing a defamation suit as we speak." A source at Britney's record label Jive adds, "Britney is very upset about this."

Britney Hit The Studio With The Neptunes After TRL
Britney Spears made an appearance on TRL on Monday as we all know. Well apparently after her appearance on the show she dashed over to listen to some tracks for her upcoming album. This is great news! The Neptunes are one of the best producers in the music biz and they gave us two Britney classics, "I'm A Slave 4 U" and "Boys". I'm more than sure Pharell and Chad will turn the heat up on Britney's 4th album and I personally can't wait to hear their work. Stay tuned for more 4th album news.

Tons of New Tidbits About Britney From TRL Today
As we said earlier Britney Spears co-hosted the first ever TRL awards today and the show has been filled with lots of info and great Britney moments! First off Britney said that she only has about one month to complete her album but that unfortunately since she has other things she needs to do first, she can't put it out right away. I'm thinking it's probably film roles. Other highlights include Britney completely destroying the notion of any "relationship" between her and Fred. "No no no, he's totally not my type". Also Christina Aguilera called in to receive her award and she told Britney "I miss you Brit!" Awwww. Britney also got confronted by Ben Afleck via Pass the Mic, Ben asked whether or not Britney would call Colin back. Britney said with a red face, "I think boys should call girls. But he's called anyways so it's cool." A great show overall and head over to our forum if you wanna discuss it with other fans!

I hope everyone is well. We have all gone through the flu. Jamie Lynn was the first one to get it, then Bryan, Britney then me. It went full circle because now Jamie Lynn has it again!

Jamie Lynn and I will get to spend lots of time with Britney in March. There are several different "All That" events that we are doing in Los Angeles and Britney is coming home soon for a charity event in Baton Rouge. This will be lots of fun and it will be kind of like a family affair. I’ve always believed that it’s important to give back to the community, and I hope I’ve passed that on to my children.

Brit’s been recording and writing in the studio so much lately with some amazing producers. She is really lucky to work with people that she likes and collaborates with so well. But it’s a very busy time, so we don’t get to see her that often! We are looking forward to our visit with Britney.

“All That” has been nominated for Best TV Show at Nickelodeon's Kid's Choice Awards. Come on fans; be sure to cast your vote for “All That!” Jamie Lynn and her fellow cast members appreciate all your support.

I know the country is in a heightened state of alert, please be cautious, but don't lose yourself in a state of fear. Stay safe and spend time with the people you love.

Columnist takes up for Britney




Column by Molly Davis - Britney Spears and her much-publicized recent romances are all the over the news.
But I’ve got some news for you -- Britney is not bad.
She’s acting just like any other 21-year-old girl.
The fact that she’s doing it in front of the cameras is why she’s developing an undeserved bad rep. Think about it.
If you had the paparazzi following you around, would you look like an angel? I know I wouldn’t. But the public doesn’t care about my social life, so my love life is kept under wraps. Thank god. The Daily Mail of London reported that Britney recently departed Colin Farrell’s room at Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont at 5 a.m. He says they’re just "mates," but come on. Days later, they showed up together at L.A. premiere of his film The Recruit. Good for her. What’s all the fuss about? Do you really thing she should’ve made a beeline to the nunnery after her breakup with Justin? By my count, she’s been linked to three men.

Justin Timberlake.

Fred Durst.

Colin Farrell.

One she dated for years, the second is unconfirmed, and the third is true. That’s not what I’d call questionable behavior. She’s a good girl, at least by my count. So why is everyone so concerned with her and her dating habits?
Or, to be more precise, her virginity? Probably because Britney’s been very vocal about hanging on to her precious commodity. But she hasn’t made that statement for a couple of years. Besides, she’s entitled to change her mind. Maybe she was waiting. But then Mr. Right showed up. Nobody will ever know for sure. And nobody should care. So Britney hangs out in bars, just like any other 21-year-old.
She’s gorgeous, talented and rich. She hooks up at the end of the night. Big deal. I see the same hook-up routine every weekend when the lights come on at the club -- sometimes earlier. Only difference? It’s not captured for posterity and splashed all over every newspaper. If it was, a lot of people would be considered-- and how shall I put this -- less than pure. She doesn’t have a boyfriend, so she’s entitled to do whatever -- with whoever -- she wants. Britney is just sowing her oats. Men do it. And they’re considered cool. But when women do it, they’re sluts. Double standard? Definitely. That’s the way it’s been, and that’s the way it still is. If you were Britney, you may act the same way. Or worse. I know I would. What? You’d say no to Colin Farrell?

Today on TRL, one of the hosts Damien stated that Britney Spears had been confirmed to appear on the first annual TRL awards on Februrary 17th, 2003! The show will start at 4:00pm. Hopefully we'll hear some new stuff about Britney's highly anticipated 4th album and of course, we get another glimpse at our Britney. Don't forget to tune in!

Britney's "Crossroads", Hit With 8 Razzie Noms
This is nominations week in the film world with the Oscars shortlist being announced tomorrow. The nominations that only masochists want to receive are out today, with the director Guy Ritchie and his wife, Madonna, both in line for the award of the dreaded Golden Raspberry.

Every year, on the eve of the Oscars ceremony, the Golden Raspberry - or Razzie - awards are made for the worst films of the previous year, and 2002 has provided no shortage of candidates.

High on this morning's list is Swept Away, directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Madonna and Adriano Giannini, who are nominated respectively for worst director of the worst film, worst actress and worst actor.

Also competing for the worst film Razzie, in the 23rd year of the awards, is Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, which could sum up a year which featured many dud sequels. The Eddie Murphy film, The Adventures of Pluto Nash, which received a critical mauling, is also nominated, as are Pinocchio, starring Roberto Benigni, and the Britney Spears vehicle, Crossroads.

Challenging Madonna for the actress Razzie are Jennifer Lopez for her roles in Maid in Manhattan and Enough; Britney Spears for her screen debut in Crossroads; and Wynona Ryder in Mr Deeds in which she co-starred with Adam Sandler. Angelina Jolie is also nominated for Life or Something Like It.

In the actors' Razzie category, Murphy in Pluto Nash faces competition from Benigni for Pinocchio, Giannini for Swept Away, Steven Seagal in Half Past Dead and Sandler for Eight Crazy Nights and Mr Deeds.

The nomination of Benigni raises the intriguing possibility that, if Nicole Kidman wins for her portrayal of Virginia Woolf in The Hours, there would be victories for two actors with enhanced noses.

The supporting categories have Robin Williams (Death to Smoochy), Hayden Christensen (Star Wars), Tom Green (Stealing Harvard), Freddie Prinze Jr (Scooby Doo) and Christopher Walken (The Country Bears) nominated.

The equivalent categories for actresses has Madonna in the Bond film, Die Another Day, Bo Derek in The Master of Disguise, Lara Flynn Boyle in Men in Black II, Natalie Portman in Star Wars and Rebecca Ramijn-Stamos in Rollerball.

There is a new Razzies award this year - most flatulent teen-targeted movie - which is likely to be a fierce fight between Eight Crazy Nights, XXX, Crossroads, Jackass: The Movie and Scooby Doo.

Nominees may take comfort from the fact that some of them, Benigni, for instance, have already won Oscars for their work and that some of the films listed, such as Star Wars and Mr Deeds did good box office business.

Fred Durst Says Britney's Live 'Out of Control'
The News & Observer reported that Limp Bizkit lead singer Fred Durst said that despite his recent outpourings of affection for Britney Spears, her life is too "out of control" for him to date her.

Durst posted several romantic messages on his band's Web site last month about the pop singer, such as, "I have never felt this way." The 32-year-old said that when he met Spears, he thought, "Wow, this is just a very sweet Southern girl, just simple, you know, Southern girl," he told "Access Hollywood" for an interview airing Monday.

"But actually, she has a life like Michael Jackson. It's, like, out of control. ... The people around her, pulling at her, people around her that are full of (expletive), just agreeing with her, like, it's kind of crazy, she almost can't see what's real and what's not."

Spears, 21, has never acknowledged a relationship with Durst. Her spokeswoman had no immediate comment on his remarks Friday.

Durst said he feels badly for Spears, who dated 'N Sync singer Justin Timberlake for several years and recently has been linked to actor Colin Farrell.

"We're not enemies, man, I just don't want to talk to her," Durst said. "I just chose not to talk to her anymore."

Britney Attends Justin Timberlake's Birthday Bash
Check out this Access Hollywood Exclusive on Justin Timberlake's Birthday Bash: Many people were turned away at the door from Justin Timberlake's birthday party, but Access Hollywood was invited exclusively to cover the party of all parties. Our own Pat O'Brien was in the middle of all the action. The party’s theme was "white trash" and the guest list included Britney Spears, among others.

Upon his arrival, Justin joked with Pat: "This is the beginning of the end for me, that right?" But Pat assured Justin to trust him that 22 definitely was not the beginning of the end.

In fact it was the beginning of what appeared to be a romantically complicated night. Justin's ex-girlfriends, Britney Spears and Alyssa Milano, both showed up to party. Add Christina Aguilera to the mix, and it's one "dirrty" night.

Alyssa turned up first, with Charmed co-star Holly Marie Combs. Then a beaming Britney made a grand entrance with not one but two beefy bodyguards.

The party at Dublin's Irish Pub in West Hollywood had – at Justin's insistance – what was dubbed a "white trash" theme. There were tabloid tablecloths to read, Slim Jims and beef jerky to eat and a birthday cake adorned with Twinkies. XBoxes were strewn around the bar for all to play, and Justin even got an arcade-sized unit as a gift.

Also showing their love for Justin were his fellow *NSYNCer JC Chasez, Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey. When asked what her wish for Justin was, Jessica told Pat: "That he would find true love."

Internet Movie Database has put up a profile forDie Hard 4: Die Hardest and they have listed Britney Spears to play Lucy McClane. The plot for the movie is: McClane and his daughter get involved in a terrorist plot while on a Caribbean holiday. Britney's Fighting Words: Lyrics From "ClubSong"
In the February 10, 2003 issue of US Weekly which hits news-stands next week, they have published exclusive the lyrics to one of Britney's new songs! In the song, Britney fights back and basically tells Justin that she can stand up to him just like he has been doing. Though Britney's rep denies that she is in the studio to explain anything about her ex-boyfriend.

I am glad to see Britney standing up for herself finally and trying to clear the air but by next year when and if the song gets released, it might be a little to late. What does everyone else think, make sure you stop by our forums and give us your opinion!
