Britney's Songwriter Sues South Korean Composer

E! Online reported that Britney Spears hasn't released a new song for a couple of months, but that's not keeping the pop tart from being in heavy rotation--at least among the legal set. The songwriters behind Spears' 2005 opus "Do Somethin'" have filed suit against a South Korean pop composer, alleging he ripped them off. Universal Music Publishing Korea, the company that handles overseas rights to Mrs. Federline's musical gems, says that the team behind "Do Somethin'" (the track is credited to frequent Spears collaborators C. Karlsson, P. Winnberg and H. Jonback, along with A. Hunte) believes the tune was "partially plagiarized" by a single called "Get Ya" from the popular South Korean singer Lee Hyo-lee. Spears released her ditty in November 2004 as one of the few new tracks to appear on her Greatest Hits: My Prerogative album; it was released as a single in February 2005 and peaked at 100 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. "Get Ya," the first single off Lee's second album, was released just last month. Spears wasn't directly named as a plaintiff in the suit, although it makes frequent reference to her.

Kevin's Releasing "Playing with Fire" in August

E! Online reported that Kevin Federline has decided that he doesn't need a record contract. Federline--rapper, dancer, reality star and Mr. Britney Spears--announced Tuesday that his debut album, Playing with Fire, will come out in August. "My album is sure to set the dance floors across the world on fire!" Federline said in a statement. "The inspiration and meaning behind the title Playing with Fire is self-explanatory." Dy-no-mite! To get the party started, Federline is planning a promotional club tour to check out fans' reactions to his new tunes, including a new single called "For Real" in which he airs his grievances regarding the media's not so flattering depiction of him. The song is available for listening and contemplation on Federline's personal MySpace site. He has dedicated the track to "all the haters." Heavy hip-hop hitters such as Usher and Nelly were reportedly on-hand to check out Federline's first promo appearance Saturday at the Vision Club in Atlanta. The rest of the tour dates are still up in the air, but Federline is hoping to touch down in big markets such as New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas, rep Marilyn Lopez told MTV News. Britney Nude Photos Purchased by Online Casino

National Ledger reported that there is another Britney Spears nude photo scandal may be on the horizon. According to one published report an online casino has dished out $40,000 for nude pictures of Britney Spears. And purportedly they are Britney nude as a teen, and may have even been taken by then boyfriend Justin Timberlake. Brit's reaction according to Richard Moriarty - she's furious. The Enquirer is reporting that a friend of Britney says the star "is flipping out." She's even more furious because "the whole thing is a put up job - the photos are Britney's head put on someone else's body," the friend tells the magazine. In other words - Camp Britney is saying Brit's head is photoshopped on a nude body. But the web site reportedly claims they are Brit as a teen completely nude. The report then points out that Brit and JT were distraught after thieves broke into their Florida vacation home and made off with some stolen home videos back in 2001. It's not clear in the article if they are saying that's where these photos came from and they don't name the web site. Timberlake's rep was presented with the web site's claim and replied, "It is complete bull." It should get interesting as after dishing out forty-grand the casino will likely make the pictures available to the public somehow.

Britney and Kevin celebrate Kevin's 28th birthday in Las Vegas. Britney Spears and hubby Kevin Federline celebrated K-Fed's birthday Tuesday night at Tao Restaurant in Las Vegas. TMZ obtained video, showing the craziness surrounding the latest Britney sighting. There were eight -- count them, eight -- security guards at the ready as the couple went out on the town. Dedication Honors Nude Britney Spears Giving Birth

A nude Britney Spears on a bearskin rug while giving birth to her firstborn marks a 'first' for Pro-Life. Pop-star Britney Spears is the "ideal" model for Pro-Life and the subject of a dedication at Capla Kesting Fine Art in Brooklyn's Williamsburg gallery district, in what is proclaimed the first Pro-Life monument to birth, in April. Dedication of the life-sized statue celebrates the recent birth of Spears' baby boy, Sean, and applauds her decision of placing family before career. "A superstar at Britney's young age having a child is rare in today's celebrity culture. This dedication honors Britney for the rarity of her choice and bravery of her decision," said gallery co-director, Lincoln Capla. Kevin Donates Hair To "Locks Of Love"

Post Chronicle reported that Kevin Federline, has cut his hair off in efforts to support a charity group that creates wigs for victims of cancer, according to a published report. Kevin Federline is presently working on his debut 'LP' while on his vacation with his wife and son, Sean Preston, in Maui, Hawaii, but decided to take a time out in order donate his hair for a good cause. Marilyn Lopez, the rappers spokesperson, says, "He just chopped of 10 inches of his hair for Locks Of Love." She added, "The album comes out at the end of May ('06) or early summer." "He's expected to do some club dates and eventually he'll come to New York."

Jeannette Walls of the Scoop dishes: 'Donald Trump, who just became a father for the fifth time, says that Britney Spears' rumored second child might be a career goof. And it doesn't sound like the Donald is a fan of Spears' hubby, Kevin Federline. "What has happened to Britney?" Trump asked. "She's put her very successful career on hold to get married and have a baby. Lots of women do that but there's something that just doesn't look right here. The husband? I don't know. I've just never been a big fan. I hope he's OK. He certainly seems to be spending lots of her money."' Spears acknowledges that she has made a great deal of money. However, she is now trying to show Kevin, nicknamed 'Spenderline,' that he needs to be responsible and curb his out-of-control spending habits.

Britney Leaves Hawaii

National Ledger reported Britney Spears has left her Hawaiian retreat and has returned to the mainland at least temporarily. She was spotted in LA on Friday and some believe she was trying to hide a baby bump. Hubby Kevin Federline was with her. It's unclear if the vacation - reportedly meant to bring hubby K-Fed and Brit closer together accomplished that feat - but she sure caused quite a buzz with her alleged baby bump display. Her bikini bump was grabbed by all the tabloids - and the rumors have spread.

Judge Puts Britney Spears' Libel Lawsuit on Hold

The judge weighing Britney Spears libel lawsuit against the Hollywood gossip magazine, Us Weekly, over the pop diva's alleged sex-tape scandal put "Brat" Britney's $20 million suit on hold until she can see more evidence. Us Weekly had ran a piece in an October 17 "Hot Stuff" column saying "Brat" Britney Spears and her husband Kevin Federline had made a sex tape. The story said that Spears and Federline had acted "goofy" while screening the sex-tape for their lawyers, saying that the couple were laughing about it while the lawyers squirmed in discomfort for having to sit through the sex-tape in the first place. The US Weekly's Hot Stuff column went on to say that Spears and Federline screened the sex-tape for their lawyers over concerns that the media would get their hands a copy of it and expose the couple. Britney Spears became outraged over the gossip magazine's column, denying that the pop star had made such a video in the first place. Thursday before judge Lisa Hart Cole, both Britney Spears and Us Weekly's lawyers were in court to hear a motion filed by the magazine's attorneys to have the libel suit thrown out. The motion reads that Spears' lawsuit is trying to punish or discourage free speech and calls Us Weekly's report on Spears' alleged concern over the alleged tape's release "a matter of public interest." Britney Putting Kevin On A Budget

Page Six reported that Britney Spears has had it with the spend-happy ways of her hubby, Kevin Federline - nicknamed Kevin "Spenderline." Insiders said Spears has put Federline, a wannabe rap star, on a budget. "Each month, he will be allotted a certain amount of money for personal use - i.e., clothing, nightclubs, booze and day-to-day activities. Any big items - cars, or trips that go over allowance - need to be approved by Brit herself," said one source. "She acknowledges she has made a great deal of money. However, she is trying to show Kevin that he needs to be responsible and curb his out-of-control spending habits." Meanwhile, a source at the Four Seasons Hotel in Maui told us the two are still not getting along: "I was in the elevator with Britney, and she was screaming at K-Fed on her cellphone that she had waited in the suite all day for him to call and had been trying to reach him and couldn't sit in there any longer." A rep for Spears didn't return calls.

X-tina Tells Elle Magazine About Friendship With Britney

Elle Magazine recently did an interview with Christina and this is what she had to say about her friendship with Britney Of course, her old friend Britney arrived around the same time, thus marking the start of a classic pop feud, which is still rumbling on to this day, if the papers are to be believed. Except they're not, insists Christina. "Britney and I laugh about it," she says. A couple of years back, when the supposed *****ing reached an apex, Christina wrote a letter to Britney. "It said: We've got to stick together. People will always pit us against each other but we have to stay strong and remember our background." Recently a US newspaper reported that Christina said Britney had 'let herself go' while pregnant. "It's sick," sighs Christina. "It's lies." But I have to look at the positive, not the negative. I'm making my record, she's being a mom - we're both in great places. We're really happy for each other. Although not best friends (neither attended each other's wedding), they are still in touch. Christina sent a basket of baby goodies to Britney after she gave birth to son Sean Preston while Britney bought Christina a wedding gift of champagne glasses and a crystal vase.

Entertainmentwise reported that Britney is allegedly so stressed out that she is suffering from alopecia and is having to cover up with big hats. According to the Daily Star a source said: “It looks like the poor poppet is suffering from stress-related alopecia. “But the real cause of her thinning bonce is her constant fretting about getting slim and developing a new look for her return to pop.”

Britney Says "I'm Pregnant!"

Star Magazine reported that Britney Spears and husband Kevin Federline are telling friends that they're expecting a second child — less than six months after their first, Sean Preston, was born. "I'm pregnant!" revealed the 24 year-old pop star to another woman in the spa at Maui's Four Seasons Hotel where Britney, Kevin and their baby son are staying. Federline, 27, also delivered the bombshell baby news to a friend, who told Star: "Kevin said, 'Britney's pregnant again,' and when I expressed surprise he said, 'Yeah, it shocked the sh-- out of me too.'" Before they flew March 1 to Maui — where they're staying in the $12,000-a-night Presidential suite — Britney and Kevin looked like they were headed for a split. Kevin's broken promise to spend Valentine's Day with Britney prompted her to take baby Sean and jet off to Hawaii, leaving Kevin at home alone in Los Angeles. But with news of a second baby on the way, the couple appear to have called a truce. "Britney seems very cheerful and happy, an eye-witness at the Four Seasons told Star. "She certainly looks pregnant. And she doesn't seem to be making any effort to disguise the fact. She's wearing clothes that clearly show a large tummy bump."

Next Britney Perfume: In Control

Post Chronicle reported that Britney has kept focused by moving to expand her popular perfume line by adding yet another scent. 'In Control' is now the third release in the entertainers fragrance line, following on highly successful sales from her 2004 scent 'Curious' and last year's big hit 'Fantasy'. Britney hopes to release the vanilla-based aroma as a limited edition in April.

Britney Now a Hawaiian Homeowner?

National Ledger reported that Spears reportedly took to the skies and flew to Hawaii after her latest row with hubby Kevin Federline. Pictures showed the former pop tart playing and staying on the island and Kevin was no where to be seen. He was in Hollywood doing a little playing as well. But a report from the UK says Brit is now a Hawaiian homeowner. The UK Sun says Spears dished out on $5.1 million mansion in Hawaii as a lovenest for her and husband Kevin Federline. A source tells British newspaper The Sun, "Britney is really hoping this new home will be a family place." The paper speculates that Brit wants the perfect family home where she can rekindle her romance with Kev.

Britney told ET that she's back to work in both the TV and music worlds. Britney recently taped an episode of "Will & Grace," which she says was a blast. "SEAN HAYES is absolutely hilarious," Britney says. "It's one of my favorite shows on TV." And she's headed back to the recording studio as well! "I'm at the very beginning process," she says. "I'm just kind of feeling it out."
