Britney: Oops I Chose Coke Again
Pop princess Britney Spears nearly put her multi-million Pepsi contract in jeopardy again - when she ordered the soft drinks company's rival.

When lunching in a Las Vegas restaurant over the weekend the sexy singer asked a waitress for a Coca-Cola.

The showbiz-savvy server, was fully aware of Britney's big deal and said, "Don't you mean Pepsi?" To which an embarrassed Spears replied, "Oh... yeah."

Britney Buoys Girls In Tacoma
"BRITNEY!" "BRITNEY!"

Twenty minutes before the show last night, the shrill chants began, bouncing off the ceiling of the sold-out Tacoma Dome.

Anyone who predicts the demise of bubblegum pop underestimates the appeal of 20-year-old Ms. Britney Spears. It's a thought to mull over while sitting in traffic on Interstate 5 for an hour and a half from Seattle to the Tacoma Dome, where parking lots had been full since 3:30 p.m. (Britney wasn't due to appear till 9 p.m.)

Promptly at 9, the lights dimmed to a frenzy of blue and green glow sticks. Britney appeared, strapped to a revolving metal backdrop on a stage shaped like a large banjo and opened the show with an edgy, borderline Goth version of "oops... I Did It Again." (Her eight backup dancers looked like a cross between "The Lost Boys" and high-school misfits on prom night.)

The Goth Britney look is not one that has yet registered with fans who buzzed around the Tacoma Dome. Before the show, various incarnations of Britney were everywhere: pig-tailed girls with plaid skirts, midriff-baring tops, body glitter, even the single tube sock on one arm from Britney's Super Bowl appearance.

But never fear, fans: After a couple of songs, the pop star shed her dominatrix-like black-leather get-up and appeared as a ballerina atop a huge music box, pink tutu and all. This was the Britney Spears the preteen girls came to see, and they screamed for more. Britney didn't disappoint, appearing next as a beauty-pageant queen in a sparkling silver leotard as she sang "Lucky." Is she a girl or is she a woman?

Make up your mind, already!

As expected, the show was pure mindless entertainment, with plenty of fancy footwork, explosions, video montages and one revealing outfit after another. With all the dancing, can Britney be forgiven for apparently lip-synching a few numbers, most obviously, "Stronger"?

She performed songs from all three of her albums, including her most recent hits, "I'm a Slave 4 U," "Overprotected" and "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman." The song that made her famous, "Baby One More Time," was saved for the encore.

At one point, Britney sat down on a piano bench and confessed to the audience that she had been feeling "a little overwhelmed" lately. She's busy for a young not-a-girl-not-yet-a-woman, what with breaking up with her teen heartthrob of a boyfriend (Justin Timberlake of 'N Sync), being constantly hounded by the press and kicking off this second leg of her "Dream Within A Dream" tour. This show didn't stray far from the shows on the first leg: same songs, same outfits, same tricks — including one with a bungee cord during an energetic cover of Joan Jett's "I Love Rock-n-Roll." And don't leave early and risk missing Britney & Co. get all wet in the encore (and no, she wasn't wearing a white T-shirt).

It wasn't anything Britney-watchers hadn't seen before, but to the screaming fans who filled the Tacoma Dome: Yes, she did it again.

Portman's Britney Treat For Pals
Natalie Portman and Britney Spears both featured in off-Broadway musical "Ruthless" in their youth and still keep in touch with each other - much to the delight of Portman's Harvard University pals.

Nat explains, "I got an invitation (from Britney) to a party and forwarded it on to my friends as a joke.

"They told me they would murder me if I didn't go and take all of them, so I went with six boys. It was basically the thrill of their lives."

Britney Launches Sunglasses Line
TEENHOLLYWOOD.COM reported that Britney Spears has launched her own range of sunglasses. "Shades of Britney" glasses will cost between $15 and $22 and can be bought by Britney devotees in stores and online. A source close to the singer - who also endorses skates, trainers and soft drinks - says, "Everyone knows Britney for her cool style and looks. She has personally picked the range so the demand has been amazing."

Britney In Disney's New Cartoon, Kim Possible
Britney will appear in an episode of Disney's new cartoon Kim Possible. She is supposed to give Kim a ride to Peru.

"I love the dual life Kim leads," says Christy Carlson Romano (Even Stevens), who voices Kim Possible, the eponymous character in Disney Channel's new action comedy series premiering in June. "At home, she's kind of a normal teenager with the usual high school issues. After school she becomes this fearless globe-trotting superhero.

"She doesn't drive yet," Romano adds, "so she's constantly calling in favors from people she's saved in the past, catching rides on airplanes, boats, trains. In one episode, Britney Spears takes her to Peru!"

Brit's tour started May 24th in Vegas. The family was there for her official blast off. The first two shows were wild, beginning before the Memorial Day weekend. The crowds were hyped and ready for the show. All went well with only minor stage problems. After three days and what seemed like a million miles later, we drove to Los Angeles by bus to relax on Brit's days off.

During the short vacation, Brit, Jamie Lynn, Crystal and I drove to Malibu. It was Memorial Day and the beaches were packed. We loved watching the sailboats sailing on the ocean in the distance and the many unusual kites that were being flown up and down the beach front. We stopped to eat Alaskan King Crab and stuffed shrimp at this great little restaurant on the beach. We made it back to Los Angeles in time to go to Century City to see the movie "Insomnia." The night before we saw "Enough." It was great to be able to see two good movies back to back.

Brit, Big Rob, Fe, Crystal, Jamie Lynn and I flew the next morning to Vancouver for the next show. The flight was a good one. The little girls made beaded jewelry the entire flight.

Everyone is excited about coming to Vancouver. Plans are to shop and look around a bit before the show. Jamie Lynn and Crystal can't wait to ride the tour bus again tonight after the show. The bus is like a giant moving play house. It looks as though we've left the sunshine and are headed for drizzling rain in Canada. Oh well, I guess all our days can't be sunny! Got to go - it's time for another show!

Britney's Parents Seeking A Divorce?!
I thought long about whether or not to post this article because I know that Britney and her family are so close, and if this were to be nothing but a rumor, I would hate to have posting something as unture as this. But, after seeing this article and having reciveing an e-mail from one of our web site visitors, thanks Monica119, that it was said on TRL today, I deciced to post it:

Last week, a friend of Spears' family tells us, the pop star's mom, Lynne, told her husband of 30 years, Jamie, that she would seek a divorce.

Jamie recently walked out of the mansion Britney built for them in Kentwood, La., and moved back to the family's former home nearby.

Some claim Brit's stardom played a role in the breakup. Lynne, a teacher, thrives on her 20-year-old daughter's fame — touring with her and collaborating on books. Jamie, a building contractor, is said to prefer a quieter life.

But the friend insists, "Britney isn't the cause. This has been a long time coming."

Nevertheless, all of this may be having its effect on the singer, who is still reeling from her breakup with boyfriend Justin Timberlake. Another source says she appeared "extremely distraught" last week in Las Vegas on the eve of her new tour.

"She was ready to call off the tour," claims one insider. "The tour was off, then it was on. It was really tense backstage hours before the show.

"She finally did the shows. But she ended up canceling [other] appearances [in Vegas]. She didn't go to any of the parties."

Britney's rep Lisa Kasteler wouldn't comment on the breakup of Mr. and Mrs. Spears. But she says that Britney never gave a thought to scratching the show.

"She's doing what she loves," says Kasteler, adding that she knew of no parties Spears missed.

"I doubt she's out partying," says the spokeswoman. "It's a very demanding show."

Britney's Role In Goldmember
TeenHollywood.com reported that Britney Spears uses her breasts to fight off spoof spy Austin Powers in new Mike Myers comedy flick "Goldmember."

The singer makes a cameo appearance as herself in the third installment of the movie series. And studio sources have revealed that in one funny scene, Britney attacks randy secret agent Austin - with her bulging bosom.

Austin - played by Myers - wanders onto the set of one of Britney's music video's and discovers she is really a deadly "Femme Bot" robot.

In the script, Britney even jokes about real-life rumours she has had a breast enlargement, quipping, "It's true, my breasts have been enhanced." Her nipples then open up to reveal machine guns, which she fires at Myers' character.

Britney isn't the only star to make cameo appearances in Goldmember - which hits cinema screens next month.

Tom Cruise, Danny DeVito, Kevin Spacey, Ozzy Osbourne and Gwyneth Paltrow also star as themselves.

Corey Moss From MTV Talks About Britney's Concert
MTV reported Corey Moss
went to Britney's concert in Las Vegas and put up a article talking about it.

In the city of sin, Britney Spears behaved.

There was no dissing of Justin Timberlake during the opening night of the second leg of the Dream Within a Dream Tour. No cigarette smoking. No ... whatever vice the rumor mills have her doing this week.

Things may have changed in Britney's well-chronicled life since the last time we saw her onstage — and that's only if you believe the gossip — but there were no signs of it Friday at Mandalay Bay. The 20-year-old headliner was the same pop princess she was at 19.

Nearly every part of Spears' 90-minute show was the same as it was when she launched the tour last November, save for a few production details, updated remixes and a new song, or at least part of one.

IGN reviews Britney's Dance Beat for the Playstation2 and gave it a 5.5 rating. Here is what they said: Britney's Dance Beat is kind of the same way -- big on flash, low on substance. THQ wisely snagged the videogame rights for Britney Spears and has employed the experienced hands at Metro Graphics to bring that good 'ol Bust-a-Groove magic into play again with Britney's music. The game is sweet but short and, well, if you don't like Britney Spears, you better stay far away from this absolutely over-idolized, obsessively focused Britney Spears love-fest. Comic Book Stars Gather at Britney Spears' New Restaurant
Saturday, June 8th, The New York City Comic Book Museum will host "Beyond the Panels II," the second annual fundraiser/cocktail reception in celebration of the men and women of the comic book industry. The event will be held at the Dylan Hotel and NYLA Restaurant at 52 East 41st Street from 6-9 p.m. This is the first event to be held at the new restaurant owned by Britney Spears and operated by New York restaurateur, Bobby Ochs. Guests will be granted an exclusive sneak peek at the restaurant before its official opening later in the month...

Britney Inks Marketing Agreement With Samsung
LAUNCH reported that Britney Spears has teamed up with Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung) for a long-term, multitier-sponsorship agreement. The deal positions Samsung as the official wireless-phone manufacturer of Spears and her Dream Within A Dream 2002 concert tour, a 33-city road trek that kicks off Friday (May 24) at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

As part of the agreement, Spears's tour will be used as a vehicle to promote Samsung's three new wireless phones: the models SGH-r225M, SPH-a500, and SPH-n400. Spears-themed retail point-of-purchase materials and multimedia elements will also appear in stores across the U.S. and Canada.

"We believe that connecting Samsung's brand and products with Britney will resonate strongly with consumers," said Pete Skarzynski, the senior vice president of wireless terminals for Samsung Telecommunications America. "Britney has developed such a tremendous fan base through her passion for her music, her sense of style, and her energetic performances. These qualities make this a very exciting sponsorship for Samsung."

Samsung is promoting its sponsorship of Britney Spears's 2002 Dream Within A Dream concert tour with radio ads in each concert market, as well as radio-based promotional contests that allow winners to attend pre-concert soundchecks and to view the concert from a VIP suite. Winners will be transported to and from the concerts via a Samsung-wrapped luxury bus.

Boy Trades Spears Tickets for Cash
AP reported a 13-year-old boy in Yakima, Washington, would rather have cash than Britney Spears. Andrew Benson bought a Pepsi for a dollar at his school store. He twisted off the cap and learned he won four tickets to a Britney Spears contest and 200 dollars in spending money. Benson doesn't like Spears. He likes rap. He called the toll-free number on the cap and traded in the tickets for $475. He plans to share the money with his nine brothers and sisters and four cousins. His mom chipped in 25 dollars so he can start with an even $500. The odds of winning the Spears tickets are 1-in-51,000, according to Pepsi.

I for one, was trying really hard to win those tickets and bought a few cases of Pepsi with no luck ;)

Britney And Justin Break Up Again?
The Sun Newspaper is reporting that IT is a romance that has had more ups and downs than Blackpool’s Big One – and now it looks like BRITNEY SPEARS and JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE have come off the rails again.

I told last week how the pair got back together after Justin made a grovelling phone call to the pop princess.

But it seems Britney, above, is not too pleased by Justin’s friendship with dancer JENNA DEWAN. Justin and NSYNC dancer Jenna became close while he and Britney were “on a break”.

But the singer was furious when she heard the two had met up for dinner when he was supposed to be back with her.

Justin and Jenna even flew to Miami last week for Janet Jackson’s 36th birthday bash featuring nude dancers.

A pal of Britney says: “She has told Justin if he wants to stick with her he can never see Jenna again.

“When he said he could not promise that, Britney called the whole thing off.

“It is now completely over – and Britney is totally over him.”

The pair, who have been an item on and off since they were 12, last split in March – saying that they never had time to see each other.

Britney Takes A Bite Out Of Buffy
She's blond, wears skimpy clothes and has abs of steel.

No, we're not talking about Britney Spears - we're talking about Buffy the Vampire Slayer. But Britney could soon be giving Buffy a run for her money.

The NMC eCharting pop tart is reportedly set for a role on the show. This isn't the first time Buffy's creators have tried to snag Miss Brit, but instead of playing a vapid lovesick robot (a role, perhaps, written for Miss Spears' copious acting talent?), Britney will appear as a blood-sucking baddie.

Reports say this isn't a one shot deal either. The Britster supposedly has been signed for six episodes in the show's next season.

Britney's Clothes Idols
Britney Spears has two clothes idols - "Friends" star Jennifer Aniston and Victoria Beckham.

The young singer's choice of the former Spice Girl is particularly telling, as Beckham has suffered the same sartorial slings and arrows from fashion critics as Britney has for their idiosyncratic dress senses.

Britney says, "I love Jennifer Aniston's style - she always looks great and wears outfits that match her natural beauty. "I also think Victoria Beckham is very stylish. She always looks the business, whether she's in a glamorous dress or in casual gear."

Britney Gets Teeth Into New Role
Sky News reported that Britney Spears is set for a role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She is planning to take on the part of a blood-sucking baddie, according to reports. She will star opposite Sarah Michelle Gellar for six episodes in the show's next season. Britney is hoping the guest appearance on the programme will boost her acting career. One insider said: "This will be an amazing sight. "Millions will tune in to see the two of them fighting in their trademark figure-hugging outfits. Britney On FHM's List Of The "Sexiest Women In The World 2002"
According to Ananova FHM will publish their annual 100 Sexiest Women In The World poll on Friday.

The results will appear on the FHM website and be published as a supplement with the new issue of FHM.

FHM is tipping Nancy dell 'Olio, Ulrika Jonsson and Holly Valance to make a splash in this year's poll.

Jennifer Lopez won last year's poll for the second year running, followed by Rachel Stevens, Britney Spears, Kelly Brook and Denise Richards.

Pregnant stars Jordan and Sarah Jessica Parker, and new mums Liz Hurley and Nicole Appleton, have received thousands of votes in this year's poll.

The list should be avalible online on JUNE 12th.

Britney On LIPSYNC Star Wars T-Shirts
TEENHOLLYWOOD reported that 'N Sync was given permission to spoof the sci-fi series after their much-publicised blink-and-you'll-miss-it scene in "Episode II" was cut by George Lucas. But the rarity won't be available to the public - only the group and Britney have copies of the quirky shirts, which feature Timberlake as heroic Anakin Skywalker and Britney as Queen Amidala. Bandmember Joey Fatone wore one of the T-shirts during a recent press day at Lucas' Skywalker Ranch in northern California. He says, "We got cut and we were obviously disappointed. A lot of people thought we took it to heart. I enjoyed just being there."

Basically the shirt is black with LIPSYNC instead of NSYNC on the front and the back has Britney and all the NSYNC members as different characters with the word BANNED at the bottom.

Britney Never Talked To The News Of The World
dotmusic reported that a spokeswoman for Britney Spears has today denied reports that the pop princess has spoken to the UK media about an emotional reconciliation with Justin Timberlake.

The News Of The World claimed yesterday that Spears had revealed all to them about her on/off relationship, claiming that she had resorted to drink after breaking-up with the 'NSYNC star.

However, Britney's official spokeswoman at Jive Records in the UK, told dotmusic this afternoon that Britney had not carried out any interviews with English press in recent weeks.

On the subject of their relationship, the tabloid paper had previously quoted Britney as insisting: "I didn't want it to be over. We'd known each other since we were kids and I couldn't imagine life without him.

"It was a tough time. We both went out and drank to block out our sadness but we still loved each other. We both did the single thing and didn't like it".

Britney Said It Was Tough Without Justin
Ananova reported that Britney Spears says she can't imagine life without her boyfriend Justin Timberlake. She and the NSync singer are back together after splitting up. Britney says she didn't want it to be over. She told the News of the World: "We'd known each other since we were kids and I couldn't imagine life without him. "It was a tough time. We both went out and drank to block out our sadness but we still loved each other. We both did the single thing and didn't like it. "He's been my rock since I can remember. Who knows what may happen in the future but now we're together and getting on with our lives." Britney is currently finishing rehearsals for the second leg of her US tour, which starts next week. "But we won't be far away from each other. We'll both be in the States - not on opposite sides of the world," she said.

Britney Gets A Brushup
Us Weekly wanted to show off Britney Spears’ shapely behind, but not her nasty smoking habit. So the mag air-brushed out the cigarette she was holding.

The belly-baring singer is featured in the May 20 issue of the magazine under the headline: “Best All-American Butts,” which also showed Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz and some other stars. The mag chose to show the infamous photo in which Spears was caught sneaking a cigarette on the balcony of a hotel in Sydney, but the offending cigarette had magically disappeared.

“Yes, we did airbrush it out,” a spokesman for Us Weekly told the Scoop. Then, referring to the article’s headline, he said, “We didn’t want readers to confuse one butt for the other. And Britney’s is much better to look at than a cigarette butt.”

Britney, Beyonce Power Soundtrack
Britney Spears' next single "Boys," from her latest album Britney, will do double duty as one of the upcoming singles from the soundtrack to Austin Powers in Goldmember. The soundtrack version, however, will be an exclusive remix of the track by the ubiquitous production duo, the Neptunes, who worked on Britney as well. The "Boys" remix is tentatively set as the second single from the soundtrack.
Beyonce Knowles' "Work It Out" is expected to be the first single and will hit radio in early June. Knowles, of course, is Mike Myers' co-star in the third Austin Powers flick, which hits theaters on July 26th. Spears makes a cameo in the film as herself. The soundtrack is due July 16th.

Meanwhile, Spears will kick off the second leg of her Dream Within a Dream tour this month with a two-night stand in Las Vegas and wrap things up in Dallas on July 22nd.

ET reported that BRITNEY SPEARS has officially joined the ranks of shaggable babes as she teams up with none other than that irresistible secret agent, AUSTIN POWERS, for a "twisted" new Pepsi ad!

Britney and Austin, a.k.a. MIKE MYERS, joined super forces for the commercial, set to debut Sunday night, May 19, on CBS during the "Survivor: Marquesas" finale. In the spot, the groovy Mr. Powers sets his sights on the bodacious Britney -- after he suspects her of foul play with a Pepsi can! Is the pop diva trying to fool everyone with her new drink, "Pepsi Twist"? Sounds like the work of Dr. Evil!

Britney’s Charity Auction Benefits the Britney Spears Foundation
We mentioned this earlier but BritneySpears.com put up their own press release: With the help of a California-based auction house called Stubhub, Britney is auctioning off premium tickets to her 2002 Dream Within a Dream Tour. Fans can bid though an online auction on pairs of premium tickets, and will also receive a SmartFlash Kit (one per ticket pair) and the chance to attend a sound check party prior to the show. Proceeds from the ticket auctions will benefit the Britney Spears Foundation, which supports the performing arts through programs like the Britney Spears Camp for the Performing Arts.

Britney Spears and StubHub.com are working together to auction premium seats to all shows on Britney Spears’ upcoming North American Tour. "Brit's schedule is relentless these days. We're in Los Angeles now. Brit's rehearsing for her next video. The weather is beautiful and rehearsals are going great. Brittany Hastings, a friend from home, was able to join Brit to work on this project. I'm not telling you anything about this video. Surprise!!

I was at home resting on my birthday, when Bryan and Lauren surprised me by flying in from New York. Then the whole family took me out to eat. A few days later Bryan and Britney surprised me with a new Lexus 5C-430 sports car! It has so many fantastic features and the best stereo system I've ever heard in a car. I have to admit my children have "spoiled" me.

Mother's Day was low key this year. We went to church, ate Sunday lunch at home and then took it easy.

Summer's almost here and it's going to be a wild one. Jamie Lynn is doing her thing in California. Of course, I'll be with her. Britney will be everywhere on tour. Bryan's landed a wonderful new job. Sandra, my sister, will be top priority for about 2 weeks. She is going to Houston for treatments. I need and want to be with all my family members. Austin Powers In Britney's New Video For "Boys"
MTV reported that Austin Powers will appear in Britney Spears' video for "Boys," the Neptunes-produced next single from Britney (2001) and the first release from the "Austin Powers in Goldmember" soundtrack.

Spears and Mike Myers, the man behind the international man of mystery, are filming the clip in a Hollywood mansion Tuesday (May 14) and Wednesday, according to Spears' Jive Records spokesperson.

The duo also recently crossed roads (pun intended) at a Pepsi commercial shoot in Los Angeles that will tie into the third Austin Powers flick, due in theaters July 26.

Although it is Destiny's Child star Beyoncé Knowles who co-stars in "Goldmember," Spears makes a cameo appearance in the movie as herself.

The soundtrack will be released July 16, according to a spokesperson for the album. A track list has not been finalized, though the rep said it will include "Boys" and Knowles' "Hey, Goldmember," which was written by Myers and samples K.C. and the Sunshine Band's 1976 disco hit "(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty".

After the "Boys" video shoot, Spears will prepare for the second leg of her Dream Within a Dream Tour, which kicks off May 24 in Las Vegas.

Oops... They're At It Again!
Britney Spears is reported to be back with her long-term boyfriend Justin Timberlake after a two-month separation.

According to tabloid reports, the couple have planned to spend some "quality time" together following a grovelling phone call to Britney from 'NSYNC star Justin.

A source close to the singer told The Sun: "I think it is safe to say they are an item again after a hiccup in their relationship."

"A lot of things have been said about them individually since the split and it has been upsetting. They just want to meet up, spend a little quality time together and get on with what they do best - loving each other."

Friends of the couple also claim that Justin sent childhood sweetheart Britney 100 roses and a £15,000 diamond ring in an effort to win her back.

The pair are due to be reunited in Los Angeles this week when Britney arrives to shoot a video with 'Austin Powers' star Mike Myers.

Britney And Justin Are Back Together Again
Liz Smith at the Los Angeles Times is reporting that Britney Spears and her 'N Sync boyfriend, Justin Timberlake, are definitely together again. Despite being in the white-hot eye of infotainment, these kids have managed to work things out.
Britney is about to launch the second leg (and what a leg!) of her national "Dream Within a Dream" tour and arrives in California this week to make a video with Mike Myers. Justin just finished his band's tour. They'd like to be alone, if we'd only let them be....
Now comes a whole list of people under age 35 whom Premiere magazine says we can trust. May 29, the mag puts Natalie Portman ("Star Wars") on its cover and lists 25 stars said to be "The Next Generation of Hollywood's Power Elite": Hugh Jackman ("X-Men"), producer Nancy Juvonen ("Never Been Kissed" and "Charlie's Angels"), director Christopher Nolan ("Memento" and "Insomnia"), VP Emma Watts of 20th Century Fox, director Wes Anderson ("Rushmore" and "The Royal Tenenbaums"), Jennifer Connelly ("A Beautiful Mind"), director Spike Jonze ("Being John Malkovich" and "Adaptation"), Josh Hartnett ("Pearl Harbor" and "Black Hawk Down")....
So, OK, I won't list them all! Under 35, eh? Babes, mere babes, but beautiful....
One wonders if "Spider-Man" makes Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst big, "bankable" stars? Hmmm. Well, Dunst, who is versatile and just 20, gives the public a chance to get a really good look at her. (She is already a Vanity Fair cover star and can be seen to greatest advantage in "The Cat's Meow," but that little film is unlikely to break any records.) Maguire is a specific type, and this film will surely make him financially secure so he can continue to act when and wherever he likes. He won't have to worry about money.
The hard part for Maguire will be maintaining the Spider-Man body. Nature has put him on the soft side, which makes him perfect as the action-hero when out of his spider suit. Hollywood has made him a hard-bodied god of the moment.
Here's a really sweet Maguire story. The tip he gave a waitress recently at an L.A. eatery wasn't only in cash. She told him that she was auditioning for a big role that afternoon and begged for acting tips. Maguire asked to see her script and spent 20 minutes reading the scene over with her, coaching. Unbelievable!

Also both ET and Access Hollywood reported tonight that Britney and Justin are back together!

Frank Sides With Britney
Capital FM reported that Frank Skinner has said that he feels sorry for Britney Spears since her split with Justin Timberlake.

“I felt sorry for Britney,” explained the comedian, chat show host and footie expert, “because I asked her about Justin and it was real love. She really thought they'd stay together and get married and all that. So I hate him now - I think he's done her wrong. It's unforgivable - and now apparently he'd been telling people on aeroplanes that they've had sex and stuff!”

Speaking exclusively to 95.8 Capital FM, Frank Skinner explained that he had 'really taken to' the 20 year old singer when he heard her practicing 'I Got You Babe', the Sonny and Cher classic she was to perform live on his show. He added “I thought she'd arrive with 400 people and insist on 19 dressing rooms with pink champagne. But she turned up with three people and all she asked for was a mineral water. I really took to her, you know, because she didn't play the starry role.

Christina Vs Britney?
Christina Aguilera branded pop rival Britney Spears "teenybopper trash" outside a Los Angeles nightclub recently, according to reports.

The blonde pop diva, who has known Britney since the early 1990's, is said to have refused to have her photo taken with the pop princess outside trendy Hollywood club Moomba.

Britney, who overheard Christina's very public outburst, reportedly stormed out of the club to avoid a confrontation.

"I don't want to be in the same picture as that teenybopper trash," Aguilera is heard to have said.

Claiming her career is more credible, she added: "I just could not sing her kind of songs because I think it's sacrificing what you stand for.

"Is Britney being true to herself?" she continued. "I doubt it".

"My songs are as good, if not better than Britney's. It's just that she gets more publicity."

She added: "The acid test will be to see which of us survives the longest."

Britney Spears Video Game Released
Want to be a dancer for Britney Spears? Well, now you can. A new videogame has just hit retailers in which you can audition to be a backup dancer on a virtual concert tour.

VIDEOGAME MAKER THQ Inc. announced Thursday that ‘Britney’s Dance Beat’ for PlayStation 2 has been shipped to retailers nationwide. The game lets players audition to be a backup dancer on Spears’ virtual concert tour by maneuvering one of six characters through a series of practices and auditions to perfect their dance moves.

“Rhythmic pressing of the right buttons to the beat of Britney’s hit songs will unlock exclusive behind-the-scenes video footage and concert clips,” THQ said in a statement. The game also features her music, including new releases “Overprotected” and “I’m a Slave 4 U,” as well as “... Baby One More Time,” “Oops! ... I Did it Again,” and “Stronger.”

Additional DVD content includes 360-degree immersive video in which the player controls the camera at a concert with the controller, deciding whether to watch Spears and her dancers on stage, or cheering fans in the crowd.

THQ said Spears underwent a cyber-scan to create the most realistic 3D model possible. The game is compatible with most dance or beat pads so that players can watch a digital Spears dance on-screen and attempt to match the dance moves on the dance pad.

“It is so cool that I have my very own videogame,” Spears said in a statement. “THQ totally captured my dance moves perfectly. I was blown away by how realistic everything looks!”

THQ vice chairman and COO said “Britney’s Dance Beat … is a new form of entertainment that blends gaming with music, videos and behind-the-scenes access for fans.”

The game is the first to release for a next generation game system under THQ’s exclusive agreement with Britney Brands Inc. to publish games featuring Britney Spears. Britney’s Dance Beat for Game Boy Advance is also available and a PC version will ship in June.

Gareth 'Moves On' To Britney
Pop Idol star Gareth Gates has switched his crush from S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens to pop star Britney Spears.

The singer had admitted being besotted with Stevens and had pictures of her on his wall at one point.

But although the Unchained Melody chart-topper says he wants to focus on his singing, he confessed to having a "soft spot" for Britney.

Jetted off

He told Top Of The Pops magazine: "I have to say I'm over Rachel now - I've moved on.

"Not in a nasty way, it's just that it was a crush when I was younger. I don't have a crush on anyone at the moment."

The Pop Idol runner-up performed with Stevens for a TV special earlier this year.

Gareth recently jetted off to the US to get away from the attention in the UK and sign a reported record deal.

Split up

Now he says he has a soft spot for Britney Spears, who recently split up from her boyfriend.

"I just wanna focus on my career really, although Britney is an exception," he said.

Asked about his ideal woman the singer said: "I want a bird who's really classy. She has to be able to look good in jeans or a dress."

Britney Spears Gets Punk Makeover?
The thin line between pop and punk just got thinner.

Green Day, Blink-182 and Sum41 have long charmed the "TRL" audience with their pop hooks and eye candy videos, but now there's a new crop of punk bands going after pop fans a little more directly. OK, a lot more.

On Punk Goes Pop, released last month on Fearless Records, several up-and-coming punk bands cover hits from the cream of the pop star crop.

Further Seems Forever speeds up 'NSYNC's "Bye, Bye, Bye," Stretch Arm Strong gives Pink's "Get the Party Started" a hardcore makeover, and the Starting Line turn Jennifer Lopez and Ja Rule's "I'm Real" into a mosh pit anthem.

Britney Spears and Mandy Moore each have two hits remade, including a rollicking "... Baby One More Time," as does Madonna, whose "Borderline" and "Like a Prayer" join covers of "Heaven Is a Place on Earth" and "Send Me an Angel" as the album's retro pop salutes.

Few of the "TRL" usuals are spared, as Punk Goes Pop also features remakes of tracks by the Backstreet Boys, Destiny's Child, Nelly Furtado, Michelle Branch, O-Town and even Faith Hill.

In just a month, Punk Goes Pop has eclipsed the sales of the album's predecessor, 2000's Punk Goes Metal, which features more widely known punk bands, such as AFI, A New Found Glory, Guttermouth and the Aquabats.

"Some of the kids just getting into Saves the Day and Dashboard Confessional now were listening to Britney Spears last year," Fearless' Wyatt Miller, who organized the album, said. "We wanted to continue the Punk Goes series and Punk Goes Pop was a way to hit that audience and expose the punk bands we like to them."

Miller said not one of the bands he approached for Punk Goes Pop thought the concept was stupid. "Some bands even heard about it and asked us if they could be on it," he said.

Some of the groups, like Noise Ratchet and Yellowcard, have found their pop covers to be the crowd favorites in their live performances.

Fearless did not have to get permission from the artists because the lyrics are not altered, but Miller said he has heard that some of the artists are excited about the compilation. "I guess O-Town have told people to check it out," he said.

Next up for Fearless is Punk Goes Acoustic, which will feature punk and hardcore bands performing their own material unplugged. Miller expects it to be released by November.

Britney's House To Be Featured In Instyle Magazine
Ananova reported that Britney Spears' home is to be featured in a cover article for America's Instyle magazine. The 20-year-old star lives with her family in a Tudor-style house on an eight acre estate in Kentwood, Louisiana. Britney has also completed filming a new Pepsi ad with Austin Powers star Mike Myers. Writing in her diary section on Britney's official website, www.britneyspears.com, Britney's mum Lynne says: "The magazine visited us for three days and took a few pictures of the house.

Lynne's Corner Updated: "Florida Sunshine"

"Britney and crew just got back from Australia and Japan. Britney performed a show for sixty thousand people in the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan. The fans were wild. She loves how the crowds increase her enthusiasm.

Brit didn’t do a performance in Australia, but she did get to attend her movie premiere there. She loves how the people are so laid-back. The only downfall was that she wasn’t able to be with Jamie Lynn on her birthday trip to the beach in Florida.

Two mothers, nine little girls, and myself headed for the Florida coast in a stretch limousine. We arrived at 12:30 at night. We had birthday cake and ice cream for our late night snack, then went to bed. I pre-warned the girls that this wasn’t a three-night-long slumber party, and that we were not going to stay up all night every night. We were there to have fun in the sun. No one wanted to put up with cranky people that need to sleep all day. It was a good suggestion, because they were ready to go every day by 10:00AM, and most of the kids were asleep by midnight. We played in the waves, swam in the pool, watched late night movies, rode the go-carts, water boats, and even parasailed.

Needless to say, everyone had a blast, even the mothers and me. We all reluctantly went home Sunday afternoon. We were relaxed and had beautiful tans. Except for some of the pale-faced ones in the group who acquired burns even while using sunscreen!

Britney did a Pepsi commercial with Austin Powers. It went great, and Britney’s excited to be involved with such a fun project. Watch for the commercial later this month. Britney’s also been busy with a cover shoot and interview with Instyle magazine. The magazine visited us for three days and took a few pictures of the house. The weather was unusually hot for this time of year, so I’m sure they enjoyed doing the pool shots. Lady, our little teacup poodle thought they were here for her. She stole the show with her pink painted toenails, bows and collar to match."

RUMOR: According to MTV Netherlands "Popprinces Britney spears is going to shock her fans again by apearing herself in bondage (SM) clothing. For her next video "Obey" Britney will live herself out with wipes, lever corsets, handcuffs, fischnets and 13cm long high heel shoes. Britney: Not A Girl/Definitely A Woman
RUMOR: Pop princess Britney Spears is set to shock her fans once again - by slipping into kinky bondage gear for her next video.

The singer - who was this week caught smoking and 'outed' by ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake who claims he had sex with her - will wear the saucy gear in the promo for her new single "Obey".

Britney has even been spotted shopping in Hollywood for shocking outfits for the
film.

A pal says, "She's got whips, leather corsets, handcuffs, fishnets and 5 inch (13cm) stiletto pumps."

The friend also hints that Britney is hoping a certain Mr Timberlake will be watching her lose her cute pop kitten image in the flick.

The pal adds, "She wants to show the world - especially Justin - that she's all woman. She wants to shed her cutey-pie image." The new track is said to be a tribute to queen of pop Madonna - who Britney is hoping will make a cameo appearance in the video.

Sign Petition Against Clear Channel Communications
Some Britney fans have gotten together and started a petition against Clear Channel Communications which states:

We, the undersigned, wish to ask Clear Channel Communcations to give artists a fair deal and not diminish their airplay on Clear Channel's monopoly of radio stations simply because the artist has chosen not to use Clear Channel's SFX Entertainment as a concert promoter. Britney Spears, one of the most popular artists of the 21st century, has suffered diminishing airplay on Clear Channel's stations ever since she chose Concerts West to promote her fall 2001 arena tour. There seems to be no apparent lack of demand for Spears, as her CD "Britney" was certified for sales of 4 million copies by the RIAA within a month of its initial release, making it the 4th highest selling album of the year. Spears' songs also show up regularly on nightly radio station countdowns and MTV's Total Request Live. There's clearly an audience for her music and the country's largest radio conglomorate should accordingly give her a fair amount of radio airplay.

Lest one think this demand is simply that of Britney fans wanting to make Britney more popular, here are some mainstream media mentions of congressional hearings dealing with this matter. Salon.com has also extensively reported on Clear Channel's corrupt business practices, including accepting bribes known in the industry as "payola" for increased airplay of certain artists (Keep in mind that Britney Spears' label is the small, independent Jive Records, which lacks the clout of Sony or Virgin Records). Britney made the cut for People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful. Check out her profile in the magazine: There's the Britney Spears we know onstage -- gyrating, belly-baring, sinfully sexy. Then there's "Brit-Brit" as her mom calls her, who, after breaking up with 'N Sync's Justin Timberlake in March, sought the comforts of home with her family in Kentwood, La. For a week, the 20-year-old zoomed around the 8-acre property on a four-wheeler, indulged in some favorite foods -- chicken and dumplings and Baskin-Robbins' Pralines 'n Cream -- and took in a lot of southern sun on the back porch. Justin Says Britney Is Not A Virgin
RUMOR: The Sun Newspaper is reporting that Britney Spears is definitely NOT a virgin, her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake has revealed.

NSYNC hunk Justin said Britney, 20, lost her innocence “a while ago” — adding cheekily: “And I should know.”

Justin, 20, ended the long-running mystery over Britney’s sex life in a chat with a fellow passenger on a flight from Atlanta to Los Angeles last week.

He told the flier, who asked not to be named: “Everyone thinks she is still a virgin but that is a joke. She lost her virginity a while ago — and I should know.

“We split up because she wanted to get married and I didn’t.

“We are too young to think about that but she was driving me crazy about it.”

Strict Baptist Britney — who split with Justin in March — sparked the worldwide obsession with her virginity by announcing she did not believe in sex before marriage.

But on a recent trip to Britain she admitted she regretted that statement and refused to say whether she had had sex.

She told TV host Frank Skinner: “I wish I’d never said anything about it.”

Britney and Justin had dated on and off since they were 12. But she was devastated when he dumped her by phone after a series of rows.

She flew home to see her mother in the middle of a hectic round of promotional appearances for her film Crossroads.

Britney has since found some solace in the arms of her hunky dance teacher Wade Robson.

And she has been drowning her sorrows in lapdancing clubs while travelling the world to publicise her film.

Britney Smoking?
This picture has been showing up in our forums over the past few days but now even it's even being reported by the NYPost: Here's the shocking photo Britney Spears doesn't want her millions of teenybopper fans to see.
It shows the blond pop tart with a cigarette in her hand as she relaxes on the balcony of her hotel room in Sydney, Australia.

Moments before the picture was snapped, Britney, 20, spotted the lensman and made a dash inside to hide. But it was too late.

Last night, Britney's spokeswoman issued a terse "no response" when asked about the sexy hitmaker's smoking and whether it might encourage her followers to light up.

For years, the curvy singer has preached to her fans about the benefits of clean living - no sex before marriage, no boozing and no smoking.

"I don't believe in drugs or even smoking. I believe in God," she told the Knoxville (Tenn.) News-Sentinel two years ago.

The smoking, as well as reports that Britney occasionally boozes, has infuriated the Rev. David Kelly, pastor of the Louisiana church she used to attend.

"Smoking and drinking isn't what Christ wanted. It is disobedient," Kelly told Heat magazine.

"She is such a well-known person that we want her to continue being a good example of what it is to be a Baptist." "

When she was a little girl, Britney dreamed of becoming a performer. Now she's helping other children realize that dream at the Britney Spears Camp for the Performing Arts.

The Britney Spears Camp for the Performing Arts, funded by The Britney Spears Foundation welcomes boys and girls, ages 11 - 15 from New England, New York, and Washington DC, to our performing arts immersion program. This ten-day, fun filled camp experience will offer foundational, hands-on skills through choosing classes in improvisational music, acting, improvisation, drumming, dance/movement and set design/building. The Camp for the Performing Arts is much more than just a camp. Kids learn about life here in an empowering, enchanting and exciting environment. Through the performance process, kids learn that it is ok to work hard, take healthy risks and to not always "get it right." New skills develop while our young performers increase self-esteem and make new friendships that will last a lifetime. Through our work together, campers build a level of cooperation and respect that develops a real community atmosphere. We are more than a community - we become a family.

Location
The Britney Spears Camp for the Performing Arts will take place at a resident summer camp located on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. This campsite was selected for its alignment with the values of respect, choice, risk, empowerment, and learning that we share. The beautiful setting enables us to offer a variety of great camp activities in addition to our daily arts programming. Activities will include swimming, boating, canoeing, archery, hiking, tennis, soccer, and basketball.

Professional Artists
Professional artists teach all arts courses and provide students with the opportunity to discover and develop their individual talents and skills in the arts. These courses are taught, along with assistance from the camp counselors, in a cooperative, motivating and fun atmosphere. Through the production process, which leads to a public performance, students are encouraged to try new things and develop new performance skills that will last a lifetime. Some surprise guests will teach master classes including Hip Hop, vocal production, video art and performance techniques.

New Pepsi Commercial Ad Coming In May
Yahoo! reported that Marketing partners want movie deals in which they leverage the hype to sell their own products. Pepsi, a partner for New Line's Austin Powers follow-up Goldmember is doing just that to promote lemony, summer-flavor Pepsi Twist. Pepsi will use spokeswoman Britney Spears alongside the movie's Mike Myers in a TV ad that begins airing mid-May for the July 26 release.
