Britney The Man In The Relationship

Looks like Kevin Federline will not be taking Britney on any romantic cruises around town or dates, his driving license has been suspended. Whoops! Kevin's license was suspended when he failed to pay two fines totallying $225, imposted for not paying on a toll road and for driving without plates. A court clerk in Orange County, California was quoted at ratethemusic.com saying "If he gets pulled over for anything his car will be impounded and he could go to jail." Sorry Britney, you'll have to him out now.

Britney Spears has been named the sexiest woman in the world - by her former boyfriend Justin Timerlake's current beau Cameron Diaz. The Charlie's Angels star, 31, says she finds it hard to keep up with the 22-year-old's slender looks now she's into her thirties. And Diaz - who has been dating Timberlake since last June (03) - wishes she had a body as good as the TOXIC beauty. She laments, "I'm feeling the pinch of time. Britney Spears is killing me! Her body is like ca-razy! Obviously she's like 12, but she's the sexist thing out there." "Seriously though, what girls need to know is that if they had make-up people touching them up every time they sweat, they too could look just as amazing in there own way". Alicia Keys was the DJ guest on Carson Daly's top 10 countdown earlier this week. After 'Everytime' by Britney played on the countdown Alicia said she really loved how emotional the song is and it is was very sweet and thoughful the way Britney is reaching out to Justin Timberlake with her music. The great Britney debate. As Britney Spears preprares to make her Belfast debut at the Odyssey Arena next Tuesday, we ponder the burning question: is she really THAT talented? YES says Maria Rolston Aside from Christina, no other pop diva has so skilfully honed the art of flaunting her body, removing her clothing and making men drool in the way Britney does. And all at the same time as singing and dancing. Now if that's not a talent, I don't know what is. There's no denying it, Britney satisfies every man's fantasy while working the body of every woman's dreams. When it comes to creating a live stage-show sensation it takes more than talent to transfer raw sexual energy from bedroom to stage. Only Britney possesses that X factor to sustain such raunchy performances in front of an audience. It might be the oldest trick in the show-business book - using sex to sell a product - but when it comes to the combined commercial package of singing, dancing and making great pop music, Spears is a one-in-a million sell-out. Britney's name was once synonymous with the squeaky-clean yet flirtatiously sexy school girl image cultivated in her 1998 debut hit Baby One More Time. At 19, Britney captured the world's attention with her debut album's title track video, prancing around in a mock school uniform wearing a tight white blouse, short skirt, knee high socks and kinky little pony tails. The idea for the video was, apparently, Britney's own. "Something cute yet kind of nerdy," she had suggested. And Britney fast became the first female artist ever to have her debut single and album hit the No 1 spot in the US in the same week. But that's not where it started for Britney Spears. Now releasing her fourth multi-million selling album, Britney can look back on a phenomenal music industry career that began at an exceptionally early age. But what really got Britney where she is today? Hard work, determination and ultimately talent have kept Britney at the top of a fickle pop industry that's seen many lesser talents crash and burn. She has sustained a rabid global fanbase for over half decade and is currently the most sought after internet search-engine name in the world. As for business acumen, Britney knows what it takes to stay out front. Just like Madonna, she has reinvented her image countless times, making sure she stays in the public eye. And 'that kiss' with Madonna at the MTV awards last year was the smartest publicity stunt she could possibly pull. It's true, Britney has made mistakes - she's only human and still has a lot of growing up to do. But the public can't get enough of her. Hit me Britney one more time. NO says Edwin McFee Normally when you think of Britney Spears, a couple of things spring to mind. Now before our mucky minded readers get all hot under the collar, I'm not talking about the teen queen's physical assets (well, not yet anyway). The two things which have made Britney the star she is are her schoolgirl outfit in the Baby One More Time video and her failed romance with curly-bapped singer turned modern-day stud muffin Justin Timberlake. While Britney is keen to show herself as every bit the diva that fellow Mickey Mouse Club drop-out Christina Aguilera is, you'd be hard-pushed to find Ms Spears engaging in vocal gymnastics that come close to those of X-Tina. In fact, the last time they were both on stage together was at 2003's MTV Awards. Wisely deciding that her singing couldn't quite match up to her rival's, Britney decided that the best way to get attention was to snog Madonna in front of millions of shocked viewers - much to Aguilera's chagrin. It was a smooth PR move that put Britney on the front page of the world's newspapers. It's quite telling that you'd have difficulty finding someone to remember the song she sang pre-snog. Britney Spears is a fantastic spectacle. She's like Courtney Love repackaged for the Pop Idol generation, and just like Ms Love, no-one really loves her songs do they? Everyone remembers Britney for the videos she shoots. Take Oops I Did It Again, for example. I can't for the life of me recall what the chorus sounds like, but I do remember her skin-tight red PVC cat-suit from the video in specific detail. The same goes for recent single Toxic. While the tune may have went to No 1 methinks it was a case of dads around the UK buying the single so they could see a practically naked Britney on Top Of The Pops - and who can blame them? So does Britney not have any musical talent, then? Well, take a look at ITV's karaoke show Stars In Their Eyes. Every year there's always someone who mimics Britney, and to be honest they do a great job of it too. So if pretending to be a teen queen is so easy to scores of wannabes around the country, she mustn't be that good a singer right? One could argue that Britney is merely a great actress, milking her audience for all they're worth. But having seen her debut movie Crossroads, I think it's safe to say that Kate Beckinsale isn't out of a job just yet. Britney is an icon for every reason but the right one. She has everything every teenage girl could have wanted. She's got the money, the looks and up until recently, Justin Trousersnake himself. What's missing from the puzzle is her music. If Britney spent as much time on her songs as she did on her make-up then she could be an important young lady indeed. From BritBratt1216@aol.com

Brent emailed us the following: Just letting u know that the "In the zone" DVD was only just released in Australia and the bonus CD has the following tracks: 1. I've Just Begun (Having My Fun) 2. Girls & Boys 3. Toxic (Lenny Bertoldo Radio Mix) 4. Me Against The Music (Bloodshy & Avant's Chix Mix) I think "I've Just Begun (Having My Fun)" & "Girls & Boys" are new britney songs - they sound awesome! I don't know if they have or will be released in the U.S. but they should be avaliable to listen to somewhere on the net. The U.S. bonus CD's tracks 1 & 2 are replaced by "Don't Hang Up" & "The Answer" which were released as bonus tracks on the Australian "In the zone" Album.

Britney No Home Wrecker

This is an article from this weeks US Weekly. Britney Spears IS NOT A HOMEWRECKER. At least that's what dancer Kevin Federline's aunt, Diane Story, of Pendleton, Oregon, tells Hot Stuff. According to Story, Federline's relationship with actress Shar Jackson, 27, who is eight months pregnant with his child (and is the mom of their 2-year-old daughter, Kori), dissolved long before Spears appeared. "Their romantic relationship had been over before Britney," she says, "but he is giving her money and taking care of his responsibilities." An insider reports that Federline, 26, has also been helping Spears, 22, by taming her party ways. But intimates complain she hasn't made the best of her newfound free time. "Britney's put on a lot of weight, but doesn't care," the source says. "She's hating every minute of the tour. All she does when she's not onstage is sit in her room, eat, drink, and watch TV." (A Spears rep cracked, "If only I could be as fat as she is.") Meanwhile, in GQ'S June issue, Spears's ex-hubby, Jason Alexander, 22, says he hasn't received a dime from the pop star, and that-yep-he may pursue acting. One of his top choices for a leading lady? Mike emailed me letting us know that Everytime jumped 25 positions to #26 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. Paul emailed to say that Everytime is now # 11 on the CHR POP, a positive move of 5 positions. Toxic is # 20, droping 4 positions. In The Zone is # 40, droping 6 positions. Everytime is # 13 on the Top 40, a positive move of 10 positions.

Hell hath no fury like a diva scorned. It seems Britney Spears was taking a romantic stroll with new boyfriend Kevin Federline in Marbella, Spain, when a bystander's comment apparently pushed the pop star too far. Britney looked ready to brawl and her bodyguard actually had to hold her back. Britney settled for giving her offenders some toxic words of her own -- they walked away, and then Britney, Kevin and the bodyguard also walked on from the pain in Spain.

Britney Spears appears to be head over heels in love with her beau Kevin Federline. So much so, that she has decided to give up smooching on her acts. The singer recently scrapped off a hot kissing scene with back up dancer Leo during a show. "Brit made him promise not to fool around, so Kevin thinks she should do the same. It's only fair," The Mirror quoted a source as saying.

Simpson snatched away the leading role of Daisy Duke in the forthcoming flick 'The Dukes Of Hazzard', a role Britney was very keen on playing. According to imdb, Simpson has been picked up to fill up extra short shorts of Catherine Bach, the original Daisy Duke. "I wanna wear those shorts so bad!" as elated Simpson was quoted as saying.

Next Single Confirmed To Be "I've Got That Boom Boom"

Thanks to all the people who emailed me today about this. Today during TRL, MTV confirmed that the next single off "In The Zone" will be "I've Got That Boom Boom." The single will most likely be debuted end of June to the beginning of July. The video is rumored to be made sometime between June 10 to June 15.

Remember 2000 when the music you heard on the radio was a foreshadow of the next single by artists...well those days are gone. This brings me to the question...what is the next single going to be? The new single, however, will not be debuted anytime soon, Everytime is still getting heavy airtime including being one of the top most requested videos on TRL and on MTV. Right now there are three possible choices that come to mind, Breathe On Me, I've Got That Boom Boom, and Outrageous...yes Outrageous. Mike, a fan who visits BSO and lives in Miami says that Outrageous has been getting heavy airtime in big radio stations. The most likely song for the new single to me is I've Got That Boom Boom. The reason why this looks like the likely choice is because first, Breathe On Me is to sexual to begin with. Second, the Ying Yang Twins apparently confirmed that I've Got That Boom Boom will be the next single when they were on air on 97.2 in Palm Spring, saying that Jive called them up to shoot the video soon. Lastly, I've Got That Boom Boom is the only party/dance song out of the choices; during the summer most singles tend to be party/dance music with an upbeat fast tempo to it.

Waiting around to see your favorite music videos on TV may become as old-fashioned as trying to catch your favorite songs on the radio when those songs are readily available online. The digital revolution has hit the music-video world full force with the arrival of My MC, an on-demand digital-cable service that Time Warner Cable and sister company AOL launched this month. My MC, which is available at no additional charge to digital-cable subscribers, allows users to view videos and exclusive AOL footage on demand. The footage includes "Sessions@AOL" performances and select shows from My MC's weekly "Broadband Rocks" concert series. For years, various companies have tried to launch on-demand music video services on cable and satellite TV. But My MC has corporate backing and the reach of Time Warner Cable (which has 10.9 million U.S. subscribers, according to the company) to virtually ensure that it will be the first successful on-demand video service. BMG, Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group have signed on to supply content for My MC. An AOL spokeswoman says AOL and Time Warner Cable are in discussions with EMI Music. My MC is initially offering 100 artist-driven selections as part of its service. More selections will be available in the coming months. Acts that are part of the first batch of My MC menu choices include Britney Spears, Alicia Keys, Hoobastank, the Darkness, Missy Elliott, Michelle Branch, Jet, Avril Lavigne, Dave Matthews Band, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Lou Reed, and Ruben Studdard. My MC launched the first week of May in fewer than 20 U.S. markets. They include Akron, Ohio; Binghamton, N.Y.; Cincinnati; Columbia, S.C.; Dayton, Ohio; Green Bay, Wis.; Kansas City, Mo.; Memphis; Raleigh, N.C.; San Diego; Syracuse, N.Y.; and Waco, Texas. A Time Warner Cable spokesman says the company will expand My MC to other markets during the next several months. The arrival of My MC couldn't have come at a better time for the music industry. Such channels as MTV and VH1 are playing fewer videos and have scaled back their programing overall. Universal Motown Records Group VP of video promotion David Nathan applauds the launch of My MC. "We're all for exposing our artists," he says, "and a service like My MC will just broaden that spectrum." My MC is also part of a larger technology trend of increasing on-demand options and customization that is changing how people get their entertainment. "People are starting to have the habit of getting their entertainment when they want to get it," says Jim Farmer, chief technology officer of Alpharetta, Ga.-based Wave7 Optics, a company that specializes in broadband access systems for cable TV. Simon Cowell has told Britney Spears she needs to tone her body before dancing around in lingerie on her current tour. The 22-year-old Toxic singer is currently on the European leg of her Onyx Hotel roadshow. Cowell said he was far from impressed with Spears' body when he saw the part of her show where she cavorts around in underwear. He said: "When she makes great pop records like Baby One More Time and Toxic, they're great pop records. "But the shot of her in her underwear on stage, I would've gone to the gym a bit more before I did that. Sorry, but true."

How did you describe Kentwood to people who's never been there? It's a small town, not three miles big, and everybody knows everybody. People that's originally from Kentwood's pretty much kin everybody in Kentwood. One hand you know everyone, which is nice. On the other hand, everyone knows what you do. Brintey didn't go to high school with you, since she was a Mouseketeer by then. How did you know her? Our families have know each other forever. My dad's got an auto- repair shop, and he always done all the work on their cars. And her mom owend a learning center-preschool, and kindergarten, called the Little Red School-and we all went to that school together. And we was all friends. That was how we met, thorugh the school. You know what's funny? I got some pictures of me and Britney standing in front of the school bus on a field trip when we was at the Little Red School, and she's in alittle miniskirt, and I've got blond hair at the time, and we're holding hands. Swear to God. I wonder how much that damn picture's worth. Was she cute when she was little? Oh yeah. She was cute as hell. Are you still thinking about trying to play pro football? I'm holding on to it. It seems like every time you get back focused on it, something comesup. I enrolled last spring to Southeastern Lousiana University, because I tought my opportunities to play and get to show would be better. And then with the marriage and everything, that kind of knocked me back down again. I'm 22, and I sat out two years so far. I may only have one eligible year left. If you don't end up playing football, is there other stuff you'd like to do? Coaching . I might try to do that or be a personal trainer or something. Has Michael been helpful in the past couple of months, you know, dealing with all this? Oh, hell yeah. I wouldn't be where I am now if it wans't for Michael. He just kind of took me under his wing bacuse he's seen the spotlight, he knows the press, he knows how to handle the situations that I got throwed into my life that I didn't know how to handle. Fifty camera crews in the yard. I guess it doesn't make you mad, because you expect something like that to happen when you go and marry a pop star. What's your ideal type? I don't like the real fine, fine woman. All done up, like they should be in a glass case. I like a woman with a sexual aura around her. I like the one that not everyone else likes. Britney sets the record straight on what happened in Berlin and her European Tour Troubled pop princess Britney Spears has delivered a special pledge to her Ulster fans - "I can't WAIT to come to play in Belfast for you!" For the American superstar has quashed speculation that she is about to cancel her remaining live tour dates - including Belfast and Dublin shows next month- in an exclusive Sunday Life message to her fans. The 22-year-old controversy-plagued singer wanted to set the record straight, after recent allegations that she fled offstage in Berlin, in a flood of tears, before the show had even ended. The report, in a UK tabloid, claimed that the blonde-haired sex-siren had been wounded by criticism of her current tour show, and depressed about being away from home for so long. Last month, Spears was accused of having mimed during all, or for most of, her sexually explicit Onyx Hotel Tour shows at London's Wembley Arena. But the alleged Britney breakdown in Berlin has been dismissed as completely untrue by her UK representatives - who gave us this promise from the woman herself. "There is no truth in that story at all. It didn't happen. "She is having a whale of a time on her European tour, and it is all going really well. She says that she can't wait to come to Belfast and Dublin to perform." An Aiken Promotions spokeswoman commented: "Preparations are still well under way for the forthcoming Britney Spears shows, at the start of June. "Both the Odyssey show on June 1, and the two Point Theatre, Dublin, shows on June 2 and 3, sold out in under an hour of going on sale." An outdoor stadium date - the biggest of her European tour - at the RDS in Dublin on June 6 had to be added, to cope with the extra demand. Spears recently scored a UK Number One hit single with Toxic, and enjoyed Top Five chart success with her comeback album, In The Zone. But her increasingly erratic behaviour in the past year, has worried observers. Last January, she married childhood friend, Jason Alexander in Las Vegas, before it was annulled just 55 hours later. Britney Wins Counter-Suit

Pop singer Britney Spears has been removed as defendant from a lawsuit filed by a Japanese man under a court order to stay away from her. Spears and two of her security guards were sued by Masahiko Shizawa for causing him "extreme emotional distress" stemming from a confrontation with the guards outside her home in October 2002. Besides Spears, U.S. District Judge Florence-Marie Cooper removed one guard, Mike Zandi, as a defendant. She let stand the claims against guard Robert Feggans. Shizawa claims Zandi and Feggans intimidated him outside Spears' home, and that Feggans pointed a gun at him. Shizawa has been ordered to stay at least 300 yards from Spears, who contends he sent her several love letters, e-mails and faxes, as well as photos of himself and notes saying, "I'm chasing you." The native of Yokohama, Japan, filed suit against Spears and her guards weeks after that ruling last fall. European Tour Drains Britney

We're posting this under rumors because we can't get any official statement right now but Britney left the stage at the Berlin, Germany concert in tears. We don't know why but we can all speculate that it is because the European leg of the Onyx Hotel Tour is tiring Britney out. Britney is doing an average of one concert per every 36 to 48 hours during the whole Onyx Hotel Tour. Add that to the horrible remarks made by the tabloids with hounds of paparazzi following her every move. Reportedly, Britney wants to return back home to rest and be with her family, but due to contractual agreements and other legal matters, it isn't so easily done. The British tabloid, The Sun, reported: "Dozens of fans were waiting for her outside the hotel. "She rushed straight past them with her baseball cap pulled right down over her eyes. But everyone could see she had been crying her eyes out on the limo journey. Her mascara was streaming down her face."

Bidding For 'The Ultimate Britney Experience'

How much would you pay for "The Ultimate Britney Experience?" The bidding starts at $5,000. Boston's Onyx Hotel, official hotel of Spears' Onyx Hotel Tour, is holding an online auction for "The Ultimate Britney Experience." The proceeds from the auction will go to the Britney Spears Foundation, which donates money to underprivileged children. The deadline for bidding is June 11. The winner of the auction and his or her guest will meet Spears backstage at her June 23 Boston show. The lucky fans will also receive two round-trip domestic airline tickets to Boston from anywhere in the United States, two nights' stay at the Onyx Hotel (including one night as the first guests in the Britney Spears Foundation Room), dinner for two in the hotel's Ruby Room, two front-row tickets to the June 23rd concert, round-trip limo service to and from the concert, a backstage tour, two official concert T-shirts, a basket containing Britney CDs and her favorite bath products, an autographed photo of Spears, breakfast the morning after the concert, and a late check-out. Foul-mouthed rapper Eamon has set his sights on striking up a romance with pop beauty Britney Spears - after discovering she was not offended by his controversial album. I got an email from Neil, a Britney fan telling me that the tour cancellation rumors are not true because Britney never had planned a "Far East" part of the tour. Good thing we reported this under "rumors" beforehand. The tour Britney will be doing is the Asian tour and that is still confirmed. The rumor was created by British tabloids and quickly spread throughout the globe, it was even reported on E! Entertainment Channel. However, as we previously stated, because of all these new rumors being circulated around, any news being reported that hasn't been filtered out by credible news organizations will be posted as rumors until it can be confirmed. We're trying to block all the rumors and meaningless news reported about Britney but now days it's hard. A mention of Britney in an article is quickly spread all over the world....gotta wonder the power Britney has. :-) Anyway, most of the news reported on BS.org is all confirmed to be true/fact, however, there are times when we report *some* unconfirmed news but that will be posted under the category "Rumors" so you don't have to worry. Well, right now the rumor is untrue, even though it is untrue sad to say Britney can cancel a tour anytime she wants to, even though she is under contract, contracts can easily be broken and in the end it's Britney tour, if Britney doesn't perform, there's no concert which equals no tour. I have just been informed that Britney is canceling part of her Onyx Hotel Tour. This is still unconfirmed so it will say as rumors for now but many reports are popping up on the internet and TV. Britney is canceling the Far East leg of the Onyx Hotel Tour because of suffering from exhaustion. The July dates in the Far East have been cancelled because Britney is too tired to stay on the road. The last date will be on June 6 in Dublin. I'm sure that if this is true that all tickets will be refunded. A source says: "Things haven't been going too well for Britney at all. She's been very ill and hasn't had the time to fully recover." "Britney also wants to spend more time with her new boyfriend Kevin Federline." Let’s hope for the best, on both terms, the tour still on and on Britney's health.

The Sun Newspaper Online report: Britney Spears sneaked her boyfriend into her plush London hotel for a naked midnight swim. The troubled pop princess was so lonely she jetted dancer Kevin Federline 5,000 miles from Los Angeles and frolicked with him in the rooftop pool. Britney defied her bosses to bring Kevin to the UK to help her cope on tour. The singer has been “stressed out” by all the negative publicity surrounding her shows.It seems she is finding it “hard to concentrate” on performing after she was slaughtered for miming most of her set. Kevin arrived on Sunday and was sneaked into the five-star Berkeley Hotel, in Knightsbridge, West London, where Britney has the penthouse suite. The following evening he watched her Wembley Arena concert from the side of the stage. Then the star whisked him back to the Berkeley for their swim. A source close to Britney said: “She was desperate to see Kevin. She has totally fallen for him and her aides are concerned that she is very distracted from her work as a result of the relationship. "When Kevin arrived in London he was smuggled in and out of the hotel and then the concert so no one would know he was there. “After the gig, Britney took him back to the hotel and they had the pool opened especially for them. “Britney had just come off stage so she was hot and sweaty. “On the drive back to the hotel she rang ahead and asked them to open the pool as a special favour to her. “Then she and Kevin just stripped off and jumped in.” Britney was recently snapped with Kevin on a California beach. Alright, I'm just sick and tired of this entire pathetic European media that is just downgrading Britney. Tabloids are working over time to make rumors and start gossip by rearranging what Britney says. Because of this, it makes me wondering if Britain really has credible news agencies with real journalists. Sorry if I am making any European fans mad but with all these UK tabloids...man. These stupid tabloids (wannabe real news agencies) are pretty much changing the way people see Britney overseas - and it isn't for the good. Anything that isn't coming from any real credible news source will now just be categorized as rumors because that's what the majority of them probably are.

Britney Spears has set her sights on a new man – Robbie Williams. The 22-year-old said she wants to sing with the Angels star and help him achieve fame in the US. Of all the British artists she could collaborate with, it would be “Robbie Williams because he’s hot and really sexy”, Spears said. Pop singer Britney Spears has turned to celebrity hypnotist Paul McKenna to help her conquer her smoking addiction. The Toxic hitmaker, 22, is currently in Britain during her Onyx Hotel Tour and visited McKenna last Wednesday. Radio DJ-turned-hypnotist McKenna has previously helped fellow celebrities The Who rocker Roger Daltrey, Robbie Williams, Sarah Ferguson, Sophis Dahl, Martine McCutcheon, David Bowie, Geri Halliwell, Sugababes and Jerry Hall. Spears told American TV show host Diane Sawyer last year she was trying to cut back the amount of cigarettes she was smoking. She said, "I am cutting back. I have a tour to do and I'm cutting back on smoking because there's no way in hell I can be on stage and perform the way I want to." Spears has even been told to quit nicotine by her idol and friend Madonna. Madonna's spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg says, "Madonna was telling her she shouldn't smoke. However, after checking it out... Jive or Britney's people have not started talking about the 5th album. Rumors are flying already, but it is confirmed in an interview that there will be a 5th album, so fans dont worry. So I guess the gossip is just gossip, Madonna could have written a song but I guess that's as far as it went, just writing - nothing's been sent over to Jive.

Britney Wows M.E.N. Arena

CONTROVERSY may follow her every move. But from the moment Britney Spears burst on to the stage in her skin-tight black catsuit, there was no doubt that the Manchester Evening News Arena was under her spell. Reports had suggested that the US megastar might be miming some of the hits in her Onyx Hotel tour. And then, of course, there was that rather hasty Las Vegas wedding to her childhood pal (later annulled) to keep her critics busy. However, it seems the old adage that all publicity is good publicity really paid off for Ms Spears this time. For her fans turned out in their thousands to lend their idol support, packing the M.E.N. Arena to the rafters and greeting each number with rapturous applause. In truth, it was hard to tell whether the pint-sized popstar was miming or not, so polished was the production of this slickly-choreographed show. However, it has to be said that her singing was so astoundingly clear during the energetic dance routines, that it would be surprising if she wasn't. Although, in fairness, she did appear to be singing the slower ballads live. Slick Not that her army of fans seemed to care either way. Miming or not, they had come to see a rip-roaring ride of a pop concert. And that was what Britney delivered. From the opening strains of her hauntingly catchy latest hit Toxic, the audience were putty in her hands. Dancers dropped from the ceiling and flames shot in the air while the sassy singer leapt into the dance routines with all the vigour of a newly-recruited cheerleader. A great deal of fuss has also been made about her raunchy on-stage antics. Not since Madonna, it seems, has there been such fretting about what young girls should be able to watch their heroines get up to. Granted there is the odd bit of gyrating around - one scene in particular sees the singer writhing with one of her male dancers while wearing nothing but pink satin underwear and stockings. However, this is hardly anything new and even seems tame compared to the latest offerings on MTV. On the surface, the new model Britney cavorting here with lashings of eyeliner, saucy underwear and red leather outfits might seem a million miles away from that doe-eyed teenager who conquered the pop world with Hit Me Baby One More Time. And just to make sure we really got the message, there was even a nod to her wild child wedding antics when she trilled: "There are a lot of cute guys here. Any of you guys feeling lucky? Well, if you are really lucky I might just marry you." Nice try. Ananova reported Britney Spears is in Scotland and hinted that fans might see her out shopping for a kilt. She's in Glasgow for two concerts at the SECC but has already been checking out the city's nightlife. The singer visited the Hollywood Bowl bowling alley and amusement centre and left clutching a fluffy pink pig before heading to a city centre night club with her entourage for the evening. She said: "I'm thrilled to finally get the chance to meet my fans and sample some traditional Scottish hospitality. I've been told to try the haggis or go shopping for a kilt. "I just put a hat on and go out. Half the time nobody recognises me. When I get my make-up off, I'm just like a regular girl. And I can fool most people when I'm out and about in public." Britney has promised a treat for Scottish fans who missed out when illness forced her to pull out of the MTV Europe Awards in Edinburgh last year. She said: "I can't wait for my concerts in Glasgow, I'm really looking forward to performing for my Scottish fans. Kerala News reported that Britney Spears recently revealed that she too believes in the omnipotence of God. During the MTV awards in Germany, she showed her spiritual side and spoke about her fascination with God and the universe. "It's just amazing how the universe works. When you try to hide or run away from things they just come back at you from a different angle," the sexy crooner was quoted as saying by Annanova. "Never underestimate the power of God, the truth always wins, so why try to hide from it? You should always be honest and say what you think, even to your fans," she further added. The 22-year-old singer added that honesty towards her fans was very important to her: "That's what builds up relationships. That's what I need and that's why I'm here - for my fans."

Britney raced out of Scotland after her two sell-out gigs with a stash of Tunnock's caramel wafers. She regularly munched on the biscuits during her three-night stay. The singer even ordered a supply to be delivered to her suite at One Devonshire Gardens. One insider in the Britney camp said:'She can't get enough of them.' Britney's tour bus headed to Manchester right after her second night at Glasgow's SECC. But fans camped outside her hotel waiting for a final glimpse of their idol were left disappointed. Linda Burn, 16, of Coatbridge, said: 'I had hoped for an autograph. But it looks like she hot-footed it out of the show.' A music insider said: ' Britney looks good on stage and doesn't stop for a minute from the moment she comes on. 'She's doing such energetic dance moves there's no way she could keep this up for a whole tour if she was a waif. A tour is the whole show, dancing, music and costume changes, Britney is a professional who gives that, not a skinny model who stands there looking pretty.' Applications Due: May 11, 2004 Eligible applicants must be from New York, New England, or Washington, DC, and be between 11 – 15 years old (11 year-olds must currently be in 5th grade and the last grade to have been completed is 9th). General Information Funded by the Britney Spears Foundation, the Britney Spears Camp for the Performing Arts welcomes boys and girls, ages 11 - 15, to a performing arts camp. The Camp for the Performing Arts offers small group programs in acting, dance, singing, set design, blues music, juggling, and drumming. In addition, campers will experience all that the camp has to offer from the natural beauty of its location to great camp activities such as swimming, biking, basketball, and more. The Camp for the Performing Arts is much more than just a camp. Kids learn about life here in an empowering, enchanting and exciting environment. Through the performance process, kids learn that it is ok to work hard, take healthy risks and to not always "get it right.” New skills develop while our young performers increase self-esteem and make new friendships that will last a lifetime. Through our work together, campers build a level of cooperation and respect that develops a real community atmosphere. We are more than a community - we become a family. Location The Britney Spears Camp for the Performing Arts will take place at a resident summer camp located on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. The beautiful setting enables us to offer a variety of great camp activities in addition to our daily arts programming. Camp Staff Experienced counselors oversee life in each cabin and are trained to build unity within each cabin, while encouraging campers to be themselves and gain confidence. Campers live in modern cabins with bathrooms and showers. There are at least two trained counselors living in each cabin to offer support for campers and to facilitate cabin activities. The Waterfront is supervised by American Red Cross Safety Instructors, and a Registered Nurse and other Red Cross certified First Aid personnel are on duty 24 hours a day. A physician is also on call and available if necessary. Our professional food service staff prepares delicious home style meals that feature a salad bar and vegetarian entrees. Professional Artists Professional artists teach all arts courses and provide students with the opportunity to discover and develop their individual talents and skills in the arts. These courses are taught in a cooperative, motivating and fun atmosphere. Through the production process, which leads to a public performance, students are encouraged to try new things and develop new performance skills. Onyx Hotel Tour Grows

LiveDaily.com report: Britney Spears has added more shows to the summer leg of her Onyx Hotel tour, which kicks off in late June. The outing is now scheduled to run until mid-August. The new batch of shows includes a half-dozen California stops, all set in August. Tickets for many of the dates are on sale now, while those for stops in Raleigh, NC; Charlotte, NC; and Bakersfield, CA are set to hit the box office on Saturday (5/1). Details are shown in the itinerary below. Spears is touring behind last November's "In the Zone," which sold 609,000 copies during its first week in stores and debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 album chart. The set marks Spears' fourth consecutive No. 1 album. Earlier this month, Spears released a DVD, also titled "In the Zone." The disc houses an "In the Zone" television special that originally aired on ABC, as well as new interview and additional performance footage. The set includes a bonus CD that features two remixes and two new cuts. Details are posted at Spears' website. Merchandising company Signatures Network recently announced that merchandise sales for Britney Spears' Onyx Hotel tour have crossed the $30 million mark, the highest for a solo-female artist in the last five years. This summer, Spears' charity, The Britney Spears Foundation, will hold a Britney Spears Camp for the Performing Arts at a resident summer camp located on Cape Cod, MA. Set to run Aug. 21-30, the camp is open to boys and girls ages 11-15, and offers "small group programs in acting, dance, singing, set design, blues music, juggling, and drumming," according to information posted at Spears' website.
