Charlotte Preaches At World's Media To Leave Britney Alone

Teen soprano Charlotte Church has urged the world's media to leave Britney Spears alone, so she can enjoy her new marriage and pregnancy in peace. Spears has been criticised for rushing into marriage with Kevin Federline after only dating for five months, and getting pregnant so soon after, despite her husband already parenting two children - Kori and Kaleb, in the past few years. Church says, "Good luck to her. She's had a hard enough time, just leave her be. "If she wants to be a mum and retire then, f**king hell, I mean, she entertained us for so long, she was lush, leave her be. "Everything I see of her in the press, I think, 'That's just someone being normal.'"

Britney's Camp To Focus On Children With Cancer

Britney Spears - whose new reality series, ``Chaotic,'' was savaged by reviewers - apparently decided she doesn't need the competition. Because The Bride of Federline is phasing out her kids' camp for the performing arts on Cape Cod. Brits' peeps confirmed the newly married, newly preggo pop tart has decided to focus her charitable activities on kids who are battling cancer. And that her annual performing-arts summer program for underprivileged kids will not take any new campers this year. ``We're going to do a smaller version this year,'' said Britney Spears Foundation gal Nina Bigger. ``She's more focused on helping children with cancer, the healing aspects and dealing with treatment.'' Bigger said Brits will be making her first round of grants to organizations dealing with childhood cancer late this summer and while the camp will go on this year, it will be cut back. For the past five years, Britney's foundation has funded a 10-day performing-arts seminar at Camp Wingate Kirkland in Yarmouth for about 60 underprivileged kids. At the end of the two-week program, the kids would put their newfound performing-arts skills on display in a show for Britney. But the handwriting may have been on the wall last summer when, for the first time, Spears did not attend the show, leaving a posse of not-so-happy campers. Instead, her mom Lynne filled in. Bigger said this year, the camp will move from Wingate to Camp Farley in Marstons Mills and only alums of the earlier camps will be invited to attend. Instead of 10 days, it will run for just five. ``We had a great experience at Wingate,'' Bigger said, ``but they really needed to book it for 10 days, not the five we were looking for.'' But all's well that ends well, because the new Camp To Belong in Massachusetts will take over Brit's reservation. It's a program for siblings who have been separated while in foster care.

Britney Spears bravely showed us she was afraid to fly in last week's episode of her reality show, "Britney and Kevin: Chaotic," and in this week's, she reveals that she's afraid to love, too. Perhaps too afraid. In "Scared to Love You" (which airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. on UPN), the singer keeps asking Kevin Federline to reassure her that their relationship is not just a "hook-up." Their exchange goes like this: She asks, "Are you sure?" He says, "I'm positive." She asks, "Are you sure this was not planned?" He says, "I'm positive." She asks, "Do you promise?" He says, "I swear. I promise. It's one of those things that's too good to be true."

Gigwise.com reported that Britney Spears has been receiving advice from Sharon Osbourne after her new reality TV show ‘Britney & Kevin: Chaotic’ flopped in the States. Osbourne, a veteran of reality TV is giving Spears tips on how to deal with the backlash and bad reviews of the show. A ‘source’ told the Daily Star: “Sharon made Britney realise that she isn’t judged as a person by the images that have gone out.”

More rumors about Chaotic from Absolute Now. Most likely not true but we will report it. Britney Spears is threatening to pull the plug on her flop reality TV show Britney & Kevin: Chaotic. The pregnant pop superstar is said to be furious at the scathing reviews and bad press the show has received and is thinking of scrapping it before TV bosses can wield the axe. "It seems Britney's just trying to save face," says a friend of the star and her dancer husband Kevin Federline. "She's furious at the way people have been bad mouthing her about her talking about sex on the show and how she and Kevin come across as a couple. She's especially angered by reports that she might be axed from the schedules. Britney has said she will pull the plug on the whole idea before that happens. She won't be cast as a failure when the only real problem is that the media want to persecute her for no reason."

Britney Spears has dumped her pet Chihuahua - because it scared her husband. A source told America's Star magazine: "Every time Kevin got too close, Lucky would snarl and snap at him. Kevin got so mad about Lucky biting his ankles that he told Britney he'd had enough and that the mutt had to go. "It was either her husband or the hound that had to go - She picked Kevin. " But insiders say the sexy star, who has two other pet dogs, Bit Bit and Lacy Loo, still has secret meetings with the pocket-sized pooch. Pregnant Britney, 23, who is expecting the couple's first child later this year, reportedly calls in on the dog behind her husband's back. A source told America's Star magazine: "Britney was upset about it She couldn't bring herself to give the dog to the pound so she gave Lucky to an assistant that way she can sneak out and visit Lucky from time to time or have the assistant bring Lucky over when Kevin is out".

Britney made another revelation to her fans last night - her fear of flying. The sexy singer, who plays a confident flight attendant in the video accompanying her hit track Toxic, revealed her fears in the second episode of her and husband KEVIN FEDERLINE's reality show, BRITNEY AND KEVIN: CHAOTIC, when she panicked on a plane, reports MTV News. She said on the show, "That was the first time you see me and I'm really, really scared." Federline added, "Most of the time when we flew, one of us was fine and the other one wasn't."

Planet Hollywood May Bring Britney to India

Webindia123.com reported that Britney Spears might come to India when the Planet Hollywood chain of restaurants opens here early next year, if the pop princess' baby delivery schedule does not clash with the launch. "Britney has come for other Planet Hollywood events and there is no reason why she shouldn't be here," said Siddharth Mobar, president and CEO of Arch Millennium Corp. that runs the Planet Hollywood chain supported by Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The only thing that could stop Spears is that she would be having her baby at around the same time, but organisers say she would be coming to Planet Hollywood restaurants in the country and even perform here. The restaurants would be opened in five cities around the country. One each at Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore are finalised and the other two could be either in Chennai and Hyderabad or Goa and Kolkata.

E! Online's Tab Fab section posted this rumor - Splashtastic Spew: This is one scoop you probably don't want to scoop. But the unlucky pool boy at the Ritz-Carlton in Marina del Rey had to do just that after Britney Spears sang an unexpected solo. The National Enquirer speculates that the motion of the ocean in the pool is what had the mom-to-be venting brunch in a sudden bout of morning sickness. Britney's righteous ralphing caused panicked swimmers, and the red-faced Spears, to splash toward the exits pronto. Now, that's what we call toxic. Not really excting news but it's been quiet.

Britney Spears is a huge draw in the tabloids, and apparently just as much of one on television. UPN premiered the limited-run series “Britney & Kevin: Chaotic” last night and it nearly doubled the network’s 9 p.m. Tuesday timeslot average, with 3.46 million total viewers, according to Nielsen overnights. “Veronica Mars” averaged just 1.87 million there this season. “Chaotic,” which featured home movies of the now-married couple during their courtship, earned a 1.8 rating among viewers 18-49.

Wearing a loose, pink-and-beige dress, Spears only slightly showed signs of her pregnancy, which she announced in early April. The 23-year-old pop star said that it was she that popped the question to Federline — who didn't even go for it right away. "Actually, I was a little rejected at first. I kind of got slapped down," Spears said on the syndicated morning talk show. She and Federline, a 27-year-old former backup dancer, married last September. "I told her that it's not right for the woman to ask the man. The man's supposed to get on one knee and do it right," Federline said. "It took me about five minutes, and then I turned around and asked her." Of course, the couple will be getting plenty of airtime in the UPN reality show, "Britney and Kevin: Chaotic," set to premiere Tuesday. The six-episode series features private home videos during their courtship, engagement and wedding. MTV announced Tuesday that the network will re-air the shows on Thursdays, beginning May 26 (10 p.m. ET). That’s how a very high level production insider describes "Britney and Kevin: Chaotic," the new six-part UPN reality series based on home videos shot by Britney Spears and her new husband, singer/dancer Kevin Federline. It debuts Tuesday at 9 p.m. EDT. Says the insider, "She lives in a world where everybody thinks they know her, but they don’t." The series, still in production, chronicles the courtship, engagement and wedding of the paparazzi magnets during and after Spears’ 2004 Onyx Hotel Tour. Spears and Federline are the executive producers. The most surprising scene so far? "She shoots [all the tape] in the beginning," says the insider. "But as their relationship evolves and Kevin gains a foothold, he starts to shoot. There is a point where she is in denial about where the relationship is heading. She’s thinking that the whole thing is a set-up — that it was just a friend trying to put them together in L.A. before they left (to go on tour). But the reality is she’s just trying to put up another wall. And he stops her. He says to her: ‘You want to believe this is a setup because you don’t want me breaking down these walls. You’re really scared to love me. And that makes me really scared to love you.’ And it was such a powerful moment. She totally goes into denial: that push, pull, push, pull of a relationship. She’s scared. She says things like, "I didn’t mean it when I said I loved you. That was just me, playing around.’ And he doesn’t let her get away with it." It should be noted that Federline has had two children — a newborn and a 2-year-old — with his former girlfriend, Shar Jackson; Spears had good reason to want to protect herself. We're not sure why Britney Spears' presumably high-paid management team green-lighted UPN's new reality show "Britney and Kevin: Chaotic", which we're looking forward to with a mixture of curiosity and cringing. Here's five reasons we think "Chaotic" is gonna be hypnotic: 1. Kevin speaks!: Admit it; you've been pondering the special charms of Mr. Federline-Spears, an unemployed dancer and father of two kids with someone else - one of whom was born after he got together with Britney. So far, he's been mostly seen and not heard, so we can't wait to find out why he's such a hotly contested piece of man candy. 2. Because we wanna know if Britney's crazy, or crazy like a fox: The almost compulsive half-nekkedness, the impromptu marriages, the dopey press statements, and now this show. Has she lost her mind, or is this the smartest move yet in the notoriety-as-publicity awards? 3. Because on the commercial, she dares us to handle her "truth." We're thinking the truth is that she's a nutty-acting celebrity who's trying to keep in the public eye while she prepares for Mommyhood (ooh, scary!), but we're willing to let her explain it in her words. 4. Because we're sure it's gonna be a huge, blimp-sized train wreck. And there's something horribly interesting about that. 5. Because we know we should be ashamed of ourselves for watching this trash. According to UPN.com, "Chaotic" will be Britney's new single; Her show's site allows you to listen to a 23 second clip. With "Chaotic" being a single, could this mean that "The Original Doll" is the soundtrack for the show? BS.org will let you know more as soon as we have something confirmed. People reported that Britney Spears and Kevin Federline sat down for their first joint interview, meeting with Ellen DeGeneres on her show that will air Tuesday. Seeking insight into how their meeting developed into marriage, Ellen found out from Britney that she didn't know immediately that she and Kevin were meant for each other, saying, "It evolved." She also admitted that she was the one who proposed. "Did he say yes right away?" Ellen wanted to know. "Not right away," Britney said. "I felt rejected." As Kevin explained his hesitation: "I told her it's not right for the woman to ask the man, the man is supposed to get on one knee." As the audience delivered a collective "Awww," he added: "It took me about five minutes" before saying yes. Sitting on Ellen's sofa with his arm around his pregnant wife, Federline went silent when the hostess asked them both, "What's the best part about being married? Not that Britney jumped up to answer. She looked at her husband, and repeated the question to him. Finally, she suggested, "Um, having the baby?" Then, he said, speculatively, "The baby?" But then he added, quite confidently: "The make-ups from the arguments are the best part. ... Married or not, I love being with her. She's very sweet." Britney chimed in, "The same."

ETOnline.com had an interesting article with their first look at Britney's new show. Grammy Award-winning pop icon BRITNEY SPEARS and husband KEVIN FEDERLINE invite America to get up close and personal on their new UPN reality series, "Britney and Kevin: Chaotic," premiering Tuesday, May 17 at 9 p.m. "I think my fans are going to fall completely in love with him, just like I did," Britney shares. "He's the sexiest thing in the world. And he's sensitive. He's a perfect husband. He's awesome." The footage for "Chaotic" is all from the personal home videos that the soon-to-be new mom and her husband shot while she was on the road for her 2004 Onyx Hotel Tour, with additional footage they shot during their courtship, engagement and wedding. Excited by the new man in her life, Britney documented their first romantic moments together. "We kind of used the camera to get to know each other better," Britney explains. "I invited him to come see me in London. I didn't really know him that well and when I got the camera out, it made me feel better." Britney Faces Fresh Lawsuit

Mother-to-be Britney Spears is gearing up for a fresh legal battle, after being slapped with a lawsuit from a songwriter. Songwriter Steve Wallace filed suit in Indianapolis this week, claiming that Spears performed his song 'Sometimes' without permission or compensation, reports Mtv News. He's also naming Sony/BMG Music, Zomba Recording Corporation and Jive Records, as well as her publishing company, Grantsville Publishing, in the suit.

Britney Slams Sickness Rumors

Expectant superstar Britney Spears has rubbished reports she was rushed to hospital over the weekend (07-08MAY05), insisting she is experiencing a trouble-free pregnancy. British newspapers alleged yesterday (09MAY05) Spears had fallen ill while babysitting for her three-year-old step-daughter Kori - while her husband Kevin Federline was working on his new album at a Los Angeles recording studio - and dashed off to hospital for extensive checks. An insider claimed, "She was playing with Kori on the grass outside the studios. "She started to look unwell and was holding her stomach. She called Kevin out of the studio to tell him she was getting worse." But a spokesperson for the star insists, "I am glad to tell you that there (are) no issues. "She was at the hospital on a routine check-up and all is fine."

Christina Aguilera is refusing to invite Britney Spears to her wedding - in retaliation for being snubbed when her pop rival married Kevin Federline. The Dirrty singer doesn't want one-time Disney Club pal Spears to be present when she marries fiance Jordan Bratman because she is still smarting after being left off the guest list for the Toxic singer's nuptials last September. Aguilera says, "There's no way she's getting an invite to my wedding. She snubbed me so I'm going to snub her too."

Britney Spears has been rushed to a Santa Monica hospital after developing stomach cramps. Ananova reports that she was looking after her husband's daughter Kori when the pains began. A source said: "Britney has been taking it easy on doctors' advice. She was playing with Kori on the grass. She started to look unwell and started holding her stomach. "She called Kevin out of the studio to tell him she was getting worse." This scare follows a similar incident last month when it was feared that Britney would miscarry.

Britney Spears is enjoying her pregnancy. Spears, who announced her pregnancy last month, said she and husband Kevin Federline "ate at some amazing restaurants in Scottsdale" during a "peaceful and relaxing" two-week vacation in Arizona. Britney, it's time to take a break — from your usual fashion sense. Now that your belly is going to grow ever larger with the Federline fetus, you might want to reconsider some of your current clothing choices, because bare midriffs and dirty cutoffs just don't work on expectant mothers. Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon and Kate Hudson have all managed what Us Weekly calls "bump chic," and Brit can, too. "Britney has the potential to be a sexy, stylish mama, but she's got to clean up her act," said Dale Hrabi, author of Us Weekly's new book, "Secrets of Celebrity Style." For starters, Hrabi suggested, Spears should take a cue from her pregnant peers and adopt a look that incorporates her individual fashion sense but adapts to her changing form. She can still wear low-riding denim, like Paltrow managed to do during her 2004 pregnancy, by getting stretchy versions of low-rise, vintage-cut jeans with three-button flares such as those custom-made by Los Angeles maternity line Childish (co-owned by the wife of Blink-182's Mark Hoppus, Skye Hoppus, who's also dressed moms-to-be such as Courtney Cox Arquette). "Britney's big problems are gaudiness and sloppiness," Hrabi said. "If she could play it simpler with a plain black top and undistressed jeans, like Gwyneth, she could look cooler pregnant than she ever has." Other cool maternity clothes Spears could grow into include empire-waist dresses, harem tops, yoga pants and adjustable wrap tops, like the one Claudia Schiffer layered over a cotton camisole and a print skirt. "That's a good way for Brit to look tidier and less like her clothes are falling off," Hrabi said. Spears can still show some skin, as she's prone to do, but she might want to bare shoulders and neckline, not belly. To deal with her expanding bosom, wide shoulder straps can help prevent Brit from looking too top-heavy, and wearing a strong, simple color like black or pink can lengthen her as she's widening. "She'd want to show off some skin, cleavage and arms, because after all, she's Britney Spears," Hrabi said. Spears also has a tendency to go barefoot or to wear heels or Uggs — and might we suggest the latter? Hudson maintained a comfortable California bohemian look with her Uggs as she went from 112 to 172 pounds during her pregnancy. "This is a better rendition of Brit's usual laid-back style," Hrabi said. "You can still have the Ugg boots, but Hudson wears them with pretty boho separates, not slutty cutoffs." If she does go for the heels, try what Witherspoon did and wear "delicate, barely there shoes." Britney and Kevin's latest creation-the UPN reality show-has been named. UPN will call the new Britney Spears/Kevin Federline show "Britney and Kevin: Chaotic," the network said today. The previously-announced series, which will consist largely of home video taken by the married couple from the start of their courtship, will premiere Tuesday, May 17, at 9 p.m. and air for one hour. The short-arc series will then run in weekly half-hour segments.
