The 4th Album

Hey, not much news about Britney floating around, but recently I did get to listen to some short clips of the new music recorded, I particularly liked Everytime. Now from what I've read and heard from people and friends, the songs for the 4th album are not all picked, so there could still be changes. However, the last I heard was that the music recording was finished, if not, they're putting the finishing touches on it. My guess is that a first single would be out around September if the CD is released the second Tuesday in October, but thats just my guess.

Britney Tells All

As reported by The Sun Britney Spears has bared her soul in her most revealing interview yet, talking for the first time about taking drugs, her split with Justin Timberlake, rumours that she is a lesbian and her relationship with pop rival Christina Aguilera. Yet not so long ago the 21-year-old singer was proclaiming her virginity, making her a role model to conservative Middle America. Now her frank admissions will kill off her squeaky-clean image for good. Here Britney sets the record straight. THE BIG BREAK-UP Britney says her four-year relationship with pin-up Justin ended because of their pressurised careers, despite rumours he dumped her because she cheated on him. She says: “I was completely heartbroken. It was like, ‘What do I do now?’ It was the hardest thing I’ve had to deal with. “It took me months to get over it. I finally realised it was over when I’d hear him sing on the radio or hear people say his name and my heart wouldn’t start fluttering. “I’ll always love him, he’s my first love. “And there are certain things I still miss about him. He totally made me laugh.” But Britney says she will not get back with Justin, because their relationship could never be the same again. She also reveals she never speaks to him these days, despite constant rumours they are secretly seeing each other. Britney says she is happier now without him than she would be if they were still together. And she says none of the songs on her new album are about him, even though her former lover has admitted writing tracks about their break-up. His video for the song Cry Me A River shows him splitting up with a Britney lookalike and the lyrics are about her cheating on him. Britney says: “I was shocked to s***. First time I saw it I thought, ‘Oh my God, it’s me.’ It was a little weird but if that’s the way he has to deal with things, that’s fine. And he got a No1 video.” And dismissing other rumours, Britney says: “Justin never proposed to me and I didn’t cheat on him.” PARTYING Britney says she gets drunk after just two drinks and her favourites are pineapple flavour Malibu and Amaretto sours. But she downs shots on special nights out, including her birthday. She says: “Yes, I’ll go out and have a good time — why shouldn’t I? And just like anybody else my age I have woken up the next morning and said, ‘Whoo, that was a crazy night.’” But she denies a recent story that she danced on a New York nightclub table. HER BOYS The sex kitten admits to seeing Irish actor Colin Farrell but insists they never had sex. Britney reveals she finds him adorable and adds that she has even met his mum and sister. She says: “Me and Colin had fun but I’m not the kind of person to date. I know if I like you or if I don’t. It’s either there or not. I don’t want a boyfriend right now. I’m just having fun and work is my hobby.” But Britney admits: “Colin’s absolutely insanely gorgeous. We talked on the phone two weeks ago but we were just friends, nothing serious. Did we hook up? We had a peck. Make out? I wish!” She says her relationships have only ever been long-term — her old boyfriend back home for five years and Justin for four. DRUGS Britney says she would not be around to tell the tale if half the rumours about her were true. But she drops a clear hint that she has dabbled in drugs and admits it was a huge mistake. She says: “Let’s just say you reach a stage in your life where you are curious. “And I was curious at one point. But I’m way too focused to let anything stop me. “Was it a mistake? Yes.” Nowadays she perks herself up with energy drink Red Bull. FRED DURST Britney was stunned when the Limp Bizkit frontman did a kiss-and-tell on her — because she says there was nothing to tell. The singer told a radio interviewer he had slept with her and even described her boobs. She says: “Fred and I worked together for a couple of days. Justin and I had broken up and we’d go out at night and we’d see each other. “He started sending me letters and stuff, which is very sweet. I thought he was a cool guy but that’s as far as it went. “Then I went on a show and said we hadn’t been together like that. Fred started saying, ‘Oh, she’s lying.’ It was very weird. “Then he went on Howard Stern’s show and my mum had to listen to this stuff. “I left a message telling him, ‘We have to talk. I wish you’d stop saying things about me that aren’t true.’ He never called me back, of course. But it’s made me such a strong girl. You can’t let it bother you.” THE MAN SHE WILL WED She says: “I can see myself marrying someone like Tom Hanks. He’s so nice, he’s the best father, a lovely family man. “Someone like him, or Brad Pitt. Brad probably more. Yeah.” CHRISTINA AGUILERA AND JUSTIN Britney says she was not jealous when she spotted her ex and Christina posing in a sexy shoot for Rolling Stone magazine. She says: “They looked hot and have great chemistry together.” And she insists she is pals with Christina, though they are not as close as they were as youngsters performing on Disney TV show The Mickey Mouse Club. Britney says: “Christina and I are totally friends. “When we were in The Mickey Mouse Club we were best friends, inseparable. One night we’d sleep over at my house, the next at hers. “I’d love to be able to sit down and talk to her now but we’re both so busy we don’t have the time.” THE LESBIAN RUMOUR Stories circulated that Britney had had a lesbian fling but she says they were ridiculous. Her mum Lynne called her after reading a story headlined: “Britney’s Girl.” Britney recalls: “She was very concerned and said, ‘Did you read this, baby?’ I said, ‘Like, mum, I’m not a lesbian.’” WORST BODY PART Britney admits: “I hate my nose. I’d love it to be a little bit smaller.” HER PARENTS’ DIVORCE Britney found out about the split in May 2002 when her mum called and broke the news. She says: “It’s sad but you can fall out of love. Trust me, I know, I’ve been there. It’s really weird how one minute you can be so in love with someone and then it’s gone, just like that.” Britney quashed rumours that her dad Jamie had an affair with a beauty who was spotted snorting cocaine. DEMI MOORE DATING A TOYBOY BRITNEY says she could not date someone 15 years her junior, though she recently met 40-year-old Demi — who is going out with actor Ashton Kutcher, 25 — and thinks she looks like a 20-year-old. And Britney reckons Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas’s relationship works despite their 25-year age gap. GUNS AND KIDNAPPING In Mexico earlier this year Britney was being driven in a van when it stopped suddenly and she was surrounded by men with guns. She later found out they were part of a security crew which she had not hired and there had been a fall-out. TATTOOS Britney reveals she has four designs on her body — but she won’t get any more. The Price of Touring

Most people think artists make huge amounts of money from touring all around the world. However, recently I just learned that, this is not the case at all. According to Forbes, in an article by Michael Freedman, I discovered that while Britney's tour in 2002 may have grossed $30 million, Britney, herself, only bagged in about $10 million. You're probably asking "what happened to the other $20 million?," well the rest of the money went to pay for the costs of her band, hotel, transportation, crew and production. Now that sure explains the 50 plus dollar price tag on a ticket to one of her concerts.

The show will air on Friday, June 27 on VH1 at 1pm EST. Undercover reports the scissors that cut Britney Spears hair cost $3000 and were imported from Japan. Britney's getting a star... a star on Hollywood's celebrated Walk of Fame. The prestigious Walk of Fame, on the sidewalks of Hollywood Blvd. and Vine Street, home of celebrities the likes of: Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks, Julie Andrews, Bill Cosby, Arnold Schwarznegger, Lucille Ball, and many, many more will now add Britney to the list. The new inductees were announced Thursday by Johnny Grant, chairman of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. "There's a favorite on this list for everybody. We have both young and veteran performers and local, national and international stars," Grant said. "The induction ceremonies will generate a lot of excitement for our residents and visitors from around the world." The inductees represent film, television, radio, live theater and recording. Grant said they were chosen from hundreds of nominations during a June 13 meeting. Other celebrities receiving stars include: Kevin Costner and Halle Berry. Glenn Close, Anthony Hopkins, John Singleton, Ted Turner, Journey and 17-year-old twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will also be inducted next year.

Britney Falls Short of 100 Richest Celebrities

Reuters is reporting that Britney fell short from being on the list of this year's Forbes Top 100 Celebrity List after being number one last year. It's not coincidence after a year of bad press and the publicized breakup with Justin Timberlake. But Peter Kafka, an editor at Forbes, says, "Good press or bad press, all press is equal in our eyes." By dollar value, Britney did not have a big album or a big tour, the proponents that usually land celebrities on the list." But fans don't have to worry, Britney is still earning big. Britney recently stated that she has people managing her money and also invests it in stocks and mutual funds.

2003 Teen Choice Awards

Britney has been nominated for two awards at the 2003 Teen Choice Awards, the fifth annual awards show that allows teens to cast their vote for the hottest celebrities in film, television, music, and sports. The award show will be air Wednesday, August 6 on FOX at 8pm ET. Britney has been nominated for Choice Female Hottie and Choice Female Fashion Icon. Both nominations that Britney is sure to deserve. Britney Off Forbes Celebrity 100 List

ET reported that the teens are taking over Hollywood and to prove it, tonight on ET, they've got more rankings from this year's Forbes Celebrity 100 list! One young celeb who didn't make the list is BRITNEY SPEARS; Forbes blames the pop princess's self-imposed hiatus and the slow down of the teen pop craze as the reason (*NSYNC and the BACKSTREET BOYS are off the list too).

Britney On The Lycos Top 50: Week 200

Britney went down 2 spots this week to #12 on the Lycos 50 for the week ending 06/14/03. She has been on the list for 200 weeks. Today marks the 200th week since Lycos began tabulating search terms for The Lycos 50 in August 1999, and week number 200 is marked by an influx of new musicians who have never made the list before. Ironically, the hottest musical act in America hasn't even released his debut album. America cannot get enough Clay Aiken (#7), and this week the American Idol runner-up moves into the top ten at number seven. For the first time, Aiken is the Web's most popular musical artist, ranking higher than Britney Spears (#12).

Britney Made Into Wax Statue

The Sun reports that Britney will the latest celebrity to be made into a wax statue. The wax Britney is set to become a raunchy pole dancer with breasts that will throb. The wax statue will be modeled after Britney's sexiest pose ever -- with her back arched and chest puffed out from her pose from Britney's Live in Las Vegas video as she sang Slave 4 U. For realistic purposes, the wax statue will also be given heaving breasts which inflate. The transformation is being made by experts at Madame Tussaud's waxworks museum in London. The creators of the masterpiece, a £52,000 wax look-alike, want to mimic Britney's breathing. An insider promised: "She will be our raunchiest model ever. "For the first time we are installing balloons in her chest so her boobs heave in and out. "She is hanging upside-down in the pose and when the waxwork is unveiled it will give our male visitors one hell of a treat." The model of Britney is the latest feature in a new £2million interactive room called Blush. She will dangle next to a blushing J-Lo and a Brad Pitt with a squeezable bum. A spokeswoman confirmed the plans last night and said the waxwork will be unveiled later this year. She added: "We will have a couple of real pole dancers on call to offer tips to the public."

Britney Voted 2nd Sexiest Pop Pin-up by VH1

Britney Spears has been voted the second sexiest pop pin-up in the world in a poll conducted by a British music video station VH1. Kylie Minogue topped the survey. Meanwhile, pop star Robbie Williams was the top male in the list, ranked third overall.

Britney Concert To Kick Off NFL Season

The Times of India reported that Britney Spears' party-hopping ways may cost her the prominent role at the concert kicking off the NFL season, reported New York Post online. Apparently, the teen crooner has been offered by the league to play a concert in Washington, DC in September, to kick-start the season. But thanks to the paparazzi canning a tipsy Spears' letting her hair down at Manhattan hotspots, the NFL is threatening to show her the door. "They called her manager and said if she didn't settle down, she was not going to be the headliner. They don't want anyone associated with any kind of scandal, " a source was quoted as saying. However, those close to the star of Hit me baby, one more time vow that the NFL gave no such scare and remain confident that she will steal the headlines yet again.

Britney Roasting Carson Daly At MTV Bash

Billboard reported that Madonna, Britney Spears, and Nelly will join a host of artists and comedians June 28 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles for the first "MTV Bash." The evnet will serve as a comedy/concert roast of MTV personality and late-night TV host Carson Daly. Comedians Andy Dick, Jon Stewart, Jimmy Kimmel, Jeffrey Ross, and Adam Carolla will join the festivities, as will Carmen Electra and Sarah Silverman. Other attendees will include Jessica Simpson, Papa Roach, 98 Degrees, Lit, Usher, and the Pussycat Dolls, with more to be announced. The Bash will be recorded for a July 13 broadcast. Daly, who recently renewed his contract with MTV for two years, is the host of the network's popular "Total Request Live" daily countdown show as well as its executive producer. The guests and comedians, many of whom are friends of the host, are expected to ridicule and poke fun at Daly's public image, work, and love life.

Britney Back To Blond So Fast?

New York Post Online published an article about the recent change in Britney's hair color and style. How did Britney grow back her blond locks so fast? After receiving tons of flack from newspapers and magazines for cutting her flowing blond mane into a choppy bob and dyeing it a shade of brown that most closely resembled shoe polish, Spears has suddenly transformed back into her old blond, shaggy-haired self. But the pop tart's personal hairstylist, Kevin Mancuso, says that the brunette bob was temporary and that "the color wasn't permanent." "That's the nature of Britney," he says. "Her hair was gradually coming back to blond, and then she went to Bermuda and the sun lightened it more, and that helped it a bit." Photos may argue differently, but Mancuso insists that Spears didn't undergo a full day of having hair extensions weaved into her scalp - nor, he says, did she get another dye job. "There are some temporary extensions, a few here and there," he concedes. "But it's been two months and her hair grows fast." Well, not quite. Britney was spotted leaving a SoHo salon with the chin-length, murky-brown 'do the weekend of April 19. But shortly afterward, on May 31, she showed up at a concert in Camden, N.J., with about five more inches of hair - blond hair. "Britney is young and gorgeous enough to be able to change her look with any color or style she chooses," says her publicist, Nathalie Moar, who adds that there's no real reason behind the cut-and-colors - she's merely experimenting. "There's nothing contrived about the changes," says Moar. And while she's currently laying down tracks for her next album, it will be a while before the heavy publicity schedule kicks in. So there's no real pressure for Spears to be looking her absolute best right now. Unless, that is, she wanted to scrub up for the recently taped MTV Movie Awards. The blonde-to-brunette and back act cost her. Hair extensions could run you anywhere from $5,000-$6,000 at a professional hair salon.

Britney Parties at Lot 61

Britney Spears didn't raise a finger, but the pop princess is being blamed by a woman who says she was manhandled so that Spears could have her favorite table at Lot 61. "She's a bitch, and she thinks she can throw people around," contends Jacqui Andrews, who alleges that she was forcibly ejected from her seat when Spears arrived at the Chelsea club Monday night around 11:30. Andrews says she was sitting at a table, waiting to pay her dinner bill, when "I was picked up physically, moved out of the way and thrown on the floor - so that [Spears] could sit there. She sat there and watched the whole thing and was laughing about it." A Lot 61 manager, who asked not to be identified, confirms that he ushered Andrews out, but denies that he lifted or threw her. "She was taking her time," the manager tells us. "So I took her hand to escort her from the table. I was just rushed. I said, 'I'm sorry. You have to stand up right now. My party is coming in right now. It's VIP.'" The manager explained that Andrews and two other people, one of whom worked for the club, were occupying a table for 10. "Britney had called for the table, but she arrived so fast that we didn't have a chance to get it ready," said the manager, adding that he didn't realize Andrews was waiting for a check. "I went looking for her to apologize," says the manager. "She came back a little later to get her credit card. I told her it was a mistake." Andrews confirms that the manager comped her dinner and bought her drinks and that she stayed at the club several more hours. And, though she won't be suing or pressing charges, she holds Spears responsible. "It doesn't even matter, really, who did it," says Andrews. "The fact was that it was done for her." Lot 61 owner Amy Sacco is standing by her staff - and Spears - saying: "Britney ... has never done anything wrong in front of me." Spears' rep, who denies the singer laughed at Andrews, says: "Britney would never enter a club without knowing her table was ready."
