National Ledger reported that Britney is trading in one LA for another La. The former pop star still loves Malibu but the entire trappings that go with Hollywood may be too much and she will return to her native state of Louisiana In Touch is reporting.
"She wants to come home," says Kentwood mayor Harold Smith. "She's building more rooms for her growing family. She wants a nursery and some kids' rooms."
In a story set for publication this week, the magazine claims that even husband Kevin Federline supports the move, which may help solve some of their marriage problems. Britney Spears has learned just how hard caring for a baby can be, the report reads.
This time around, she wants more help - so she's planning to move back home to Kentwood, La., to be closer to her mom, Lynne.
Britney wants Lynne to help with the kids, but Kevin’s wary. "He likes Lynne but doesn't like her getting involved in their relationship," an insider tells the magazine..
Britney, whose second child is due in September, is pouring $200,000 into Serenity, the house where her mom lives, and she hopes the small town life will help calm K-Fed down and strengthen her marriage.
A pal says, "She loves Malibu but feels she'll end up divorced if she stays there — at least for now." |

TMZ reported that they see a lot of mobs of photographers pestering one celeb or another, but rarely have they seen such infighting as they did recently in Malibu. The whole Spears clan was coming out of Nobu: Brit and Sean, K-Fed, even Jamie Lynn and mom. Clearly the shot was worth a lot, because the paparazzi were vicious in their jockeying for position.
Some photographers who had promised to stay crouched instead leapt to their feet, obstructing the view of others. The paparazzi were yelling at each other, instead of at the celebs. The normal cries of "Britney! ""Kevin!" were replaced by shouts of "come on!" "get down!" and several f-bombs.
If the photographers are at each other's throats like that, then Britney and family must simply be the biggest shot of the day. |

Britney Interview Damage Control |

Page Six reported that Britney Spears was shocked - shocked! - by the reaction to her wretched NBC interview with Matt Lauer (87 percent of people polled in Us Weekly had less respect for Spears after the chat). So she attempted damage control. Spears had a photographer take pretty pictures of her - this time with professional hair, makeup and wardrobe. And despite tearfully begging for privacy, saying she hates media attention, and calling the celebrity weeklies "trash" in the interview, Spears then tried to sell the photos and an "exclusive" interview to those same trashy weeklies for $200,000. There were no takers. OK! finally bought the shots and the interview for a measly $5,000. A rep for the magazine declined comment but did say, "Who doesn't love a discount?" Spears' rep didn't return calls. Meanwhile, Spears' hubby, Kevin Federline, seems to be on a budget. Federline was shopping at Lounge in SoHo on Friday but balked at paying $150 for a T-shirt. |

PR Inside reported that Britney who is expecting her second child with husband Kevin Federline, says she can't stop crunching ice cubes since conceiving again. She said: "I think I have elephant teeth or something. I love it." While Britney was pregnant with first child Sean Preston, Kevin revealed his spouse developed the classic craving of pickles mixed with ice cream. The 'Toxic' singer allegedly gained a massive 51 pounds when she was expecting her son. Britney's weight ballooned from an estimated 119lbs to a massive 170lbs and the pop superstar was repeatedly spotted gorging on fried chicken and calorific milkshakes in the final stages of her pregnancy. The now 25-year-old star was a regular at popular Los Angeles fast food restaurant Koo Koo Roo and developed a taste for the eatery's speciality 'chillatos' - an ice-cream loaded shake. |

Kevin Supports Penny |

CNN reported that penny advocates gained an unlikely supporter Wednesday as Britney Spears' husband, Kevin Federline, came out in support of the smallest unit of the U.S. currency system at an event sponsored by cellphone carrier Virgin Mobile.
In an effort to promote its new text messaging service that allows customers to send messages for only a penny, Virgin Mobile said it would begin collecting signatures for a "Save the Penny" petition to convince lawmakers to save the single-cent piece from possible extinction. Kevin Federline lent his support for the penny at a press conference on Wednesday. "I feel good about the penny," said Federline, speaking to a crowd of reporters and onlookers from the center of Times Square, before signing his name to the petition.
As of April, the cost to produce a single penny, which is primarily made of zinc with just 2.5 percent worth of copper, exceeded its face value due to rising commodity prices. The cost to produce a penny has risen from .97 cent in 2005 to 1.4 cents, according to the U.S. Mint.
In 2001, Rep. Jim Kolbe, R- Arizona proposed banning the single cent in favor of a rounding system. Kolbe has said he is now considering reintroducing the legislation. |

MSNBC reported Britney Spears may insist that her marriage to Kevin Federline is "awesome" — but they sure are giving each other a lot of space.
The couple recently went on vacation in Florida — but they reportedly stayed in separate rooms. Spears and K-Fed spent a whopping $250,000 for a getaway on Aqua Island, according to the upcoming issue of In Touch Weekly, which reports that except for a very public romp on the beach with their 10-month-old son, the two steered pretty clear of each other. In fact, Spears rented two houses so they didn't have to stay together.
"She did it to get away from Kevin," a "friend" told the mag. Federline jet skied in South Beach by himself and in the evening, appeared at the club Mansion, where he had a scheduled appearance. Spears didn't attend, but K-Fed partied with eight friends, drank Cristal champagne, and danced until 3:30 a.m., according to the mag. Despite their problems, a "pal" says, Spears "wants the world to think they’re happier than ever."
Meanwhile, US Weekly had pros analyze Spears's body language during that Matt Lauer interview, and when a closed-eyed Spears declared her marriage fabulous, she wasn't being candid, in the expert opinion of former FBI polygraph examiner and criminal profiler Jack Timarco. "When a person covers or closes their eyes," said Timarco, "it often means they’re getting ready to tell a lie." |

Britney Security Suit Leaving Court |

E! Online reported that a Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled Monday that the lawsuit filed against three of Spears' companies by a trio of her former employees who claim that they're owed back pay and damages will go to arbitration in an effort to avoid a trial, defense attorney William J. Briggs II confirmed to E! Online.
Actually, Judge James R. Dunn's ruling is a boon to the defense, which would prefer that the matter be handled through confidential binding arbitration rather than "under the glare of the public lights," Briggs said. He is representing all three of Spears' companies named in the suit and was the one who filed the motion to take the matter to a private third party.
Emphasis on the "confidential," which means that the intricate financial dealings of the targeted organizations--Britney Brands Inc., Britney Touring Inc. and Team Tours Inc.--will stay largely under wraps.
The judge rejected the plaintiffs' argument that arbitration would deprive them of certain court protections, namely more money from the defense if it's later determined that Spears' companies violated labor laws.
The plaintiffs are Silas Dukes, hired by Britney Brands in June 2004 as a "lead specialist" on Spears' security team and later promoted to Britney Touring; Randy Jones, hired as a personal security guard in July 2004; and Lonnie DeShawn Jones, hired as a guard at Spears' home in November 2004. They allege that they never received either overtime compensation or their final paychecks after being fired Nov. 30, 2005.
According to their lawsuit, Dukes was paid a weekly salary of $3,350, Randy Jones got $3,000 per week and Lonnie Jones $2,400. Lonnie Jones regularly worked 12-hour shifts, while Randy Jones and Dukes worked 12 to 16-hour shifts and were expected to be on call 24 hours a day when accompanying Spears on the road, they said.
Exact dates have not been scheduled yet, but Briggs said that two of the arbitration hearings will take place later this year in New York and another will be held in Los Angeles. |

People Magazine reported that a Namibian official who said Britney Spears was considering giving birth in the country has backed off after a rep for the singer denied the claim to PEOPLE.
On Friday, the African nation's Deputy Environment and Tourism Minister, Leon Jooste, said officials had gotten an inquiry on behalf of Spears, who is pregnant with her second child.
"She has shown interest to come over to Namibia," Jooste told the Associated Press. "Nothing has been confirmed yet, but there is a definite possibility of that happening."
That day, a rep for Spears told PEOPLE there was "no truth" to the claim.
On Saturday, Jooste admitted he might have been misled. "Somebody told me that she is interested in coming to Namibia and that they would contact me in the next two weeks," he told the AP, but said the phone connection was so bad, he never got the person's name or contact information.
Asked if the call might have been a hoax, he said, "It is really possible." |

NBC's Matt Lauer Interviews Britney |

MSNBC reported that in an emotional and candid interview with NBC's Matt Lauer, pop icon Britney Spears talks about the state of her marriage, motherhood, the tabloids criticism about her skills as a mom, and why the paparazzi have gone too far. The exclusive interview will air on Thursday, June 15 on "Today" 7 a.m. and "Dateline" (9 p.m.)
In the interview at her home, Lauer asks Spears why she is speaking out now and she explains that the tabloids have gone too far by intruding on her private moments and taking photographs of her on private property. "They've crossed the line a little bit," says Spears, "...they like to have the person they pick on, I feel like I'm a target."
Despite the tabloids reports of trouble on the home front, Spears shares with Lauer that her marriage with Kevin Federline is "awesome," and that the reports of Kevin living in the basement are false. She talks about why she loves him, and reveals to Lauer, "He helps me. He has to. I'm (an) emotional wreck right now." When asked if she feels people are rooting against her marriage, Spears says she doesn't know, "If they are that's sad. I think everybody should be 'pro love.'"
Spears also shares with Lauer that motherhood is amazing, and opens up about the incident on Pacific Coast Highway where she was photographed with her son, Sean, on her lap in the car. She discusses the events that led to the situation and ultimately says, "I can't go anywhere without someone judging me...I did it with my dad. I'd sit on his lap and I drive. We're country." When asked if she was upset by the headlines that ensued questioning her parental judgment, Spears defends herself, saying, "I know I'm a good mom."
Towards the end of the interview, Spears gets very emotional when she talks about wanting the paparazzi to leave her alone. Lauer asks her what would she say to them as individuals not a group and Spears reaches out, "You have babies at home. And...you have a life. And if you don't, you have to realize that we're people and that we ... just need privacy and we need our respect. And those are things that you have to have as a human being." |

E! Online reported that Britney Spears wasn't behind the wheel this time, but she has attracted controversy just the same.
A paparazzo who claims he was seriously injured in June 2004 when Spears' mom, Lynne, allegedly ran over his foot and knocked him down in her small SUV has sued the pop star and her mother, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.com.
Spears was reportedly riding in the vehicle at the time with her sister Jamie Lynn and their mom was driving. The three had just left a Santa Monica pet store with two little pups in tow. The plaintiff, Cullen Reavley, was one of a number of photographers who crowded around the ladies as they got into their car, which belonged to Lynne.
Reavley has said that, as the trio started driving away, they hit him with their Toyota Scion. In the lawsuit filed Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Reavley stated that he suffered injuries to his "head, neck, back, trunk and extremities, all of which have caused and continue to cause plaintiff great mental, physical and nervous pain and suffering."
The photographer has asked for an unspecified amount of damages to cover medical fees, loss of wages and injuries that will result in "permanent disability," according to the complaint. |

Britney's Mystery Man, Perry Taylor Not A Manny |

TMZ has learned exclusively that the mystery man who has been at Britney Spears' side isn't a "manny," isn't single, and might actually know less about raising kids than Britney herself.
Britney's hitherto mysterious companion is Perry Taylor, a 28-year-old Naval Academy graduate who played on Navy's lacrosse team and who grew up and went to high school in the Washington, D.C., area.
What's more, quelling rumors that Perry may be taking the place of K-Fed, Perry's mom, Caroline, tells TMZ her son is living with a six-foot brunette (she's Perry's height) and that she's been his girlfriend for two years. Perry's mom calls the girlfriend "a bombshell" and coos she's "the best girl he's ever been with. They're really happy."
Perry and his paramour moved to the West Coast so that Perry could pursue a career in private security. The All-American kid, who graduated from the Academy in 2000, wanted to work in security in Iraq and Afghanistan but, says his mom, "the women in his life talked him out of it." He got his current gig working for a security company, and, according to his mother, worked for another blonde celeb, whom she wouldn't name. Mom says she had never even heard of Britney Spears until her son started working for her.
And if there was any question about whether he was helping out with the Sean Preston diaper detail, his mother told TMZ that the answer's pretty clear: "He's just beginning to learn about babies," she says, adding that not too long ago he asked a friend of his how old babies have to be before they open their eyes. |

The Scoop reported that Britney Spears has hired a male nanny - some have dubbed him a “manny” - to help take care of baby Sean Preston, and the buzz is that her hubby is jealous of the hunky new guy in her life.
The manny, who has been identified in reports as either Perry or Henry, was originally hired as a bodyguard, but lately he’s been taking on the role of “man of the house,” according to In Touch magazine, and has been doing chores that had been done by Federline. He was even spotted buying Spears flowers.
“[Federline] doesn’t like that this guy is taking care of his baby,” an “insider” told the mag. “He feels like Britney is throwing it in his face.”
What’s more, Spears reportedly is redecorating her house, ditching Federline’s beloved black leather furniture in favor of a “1950s boudoir” look she favors. “She’s using pink, cream and apricot silk, lace and feathers,” reports the insider. “[Kevin] claims that he can’t think in the house any more and it’s affecting his music. [He] is complaining that the place is ‘some high-school chick's bedroom.’” |

TMZ reported that the Hollywood rumor mill has a new obsession: Are Britney and K-Fed over? Web bloggers have noted that the couple hasn't been photographed together for weeks -- precisely 73 days, according to a ticker on Us Weekly's web site -- and that photos of Kevin with the couple's baby are all-but-nonexistent.
TMZ hit the pavement in the San Fernando Valley where Kevin Federline hangs with his friends at an apartment complex in Studio City, Calif.
One friend, decked out in baggy pants and sunglasses, claims the talk of divorce is false. "Everything you read in the tabloids about their relationship is fabricated," the buddy said, claiming "They're still together."
Others interviewed at the complex agreed that the divorce talk is off base, but no one would agree to officially go on the record with a quote. |

US Weekly reported that to promote his record release this August, rapper Kevin Federline, 28, submitted to a haircut, a shave and a wardrobe overhaul at a May photo shoot for Item magazine (out on June 5). After the makeover, he shared his philosophy on fatherhood, fame and fastfood.
On the public: "I should just put a bulls-eye on my back. If I stay home and take care of my wife and my kids, then I'm a loafer, not a good father. If I try to have a career, nobody thinks I am caring for my family. I can't win."
On rumors: "You'll never see that guy they say cheats or goes partying all the time. If I'm there and I'm out at a club, I am there for a reason. I am not there to mingle with women. All that shit is done to me. I did that when I was 21."
On his kids: "It's completely unfair when a child is brought into this world an now he's already looked at like a prince. My kids are going to have to learn what a real job is, what life is. You don't have it easy with me. Period....My kids are going to work at Taco Bell, dammit."
On his image: "I wish people would ask me about my career. Usually it's, 'How's the wife and kids?' Not that I mind; that's my pride and joy. But it would be nice for people to look at me like an artist. The day they judge me as an artist, a CEO, as somebody, not Britney Spears' husband, that's the day I am looking forward to."
On his media conspiracy theory: "The same day Dick Cheney shoots someone, they've got me on the cover of MSN [Web site]. It's life they're diverting attention from what's really going on." |

Is Kevin Source of Leaks About Britney |

The Scoop reported that Britney Spears has yet another reason to be miffed at her hubby. Kevin Federline shelled out $300,000 for a wristwatch without telling his wife first, according to Us Weekly. Perhaps it's no co-incidence that that's the exact amount the aspiring rap star reportedly was paid to record an album and tour in Japan. "All he does is work on his music and try to find ways to get out," a source told the mag. "That is all he cares about. It has taken a big toll on their marriage because he's not always there for her and he used to be."
What's more, Spears suspects that K-Fed is responsible for some of the leaks to the tabloids about the couple's private lives. "Britney knows Kevin tells his friends information, knowing they will leak it to tabloids," a source close to Spears told Us. She has taken to not telling her hubby certain things - including that she was going to announce her pregnancy on David Letterman — for fear the info would be leaked to his buddies. "They sell stories for money. ... She is sick of him using her for them to profit." |
