Britney Pepsi Commercial Pulled
Ananova reported that a Pepsi TV advert which features Britney Spears has been pulled from American television in the wake of the US terror attacks. The commercial has been deemed too frivolous to screen following the recent events. They show Britney dancing provocatively in a revealing outfit. Pepsi hopes to run the commercial at a later date, reports NME.com.

Justin Long Says Britney Strip Scene Was His Dream Job
Ananova reported that Britney Spears' co-star says it was a dream to be seduced by her in their new film. Justin Long plays Britney's friend in Not A Girl. She strips off in front of him when they decide to lose their virginity to each other. "It was a dream job," Long told The Sun. "I got to spend four hours with Britney Spears in our underwear - and they paid me for it!" Long's latest film Jeepers Creepers has been number one in the US and will be released in the UK next month. Not A Girl was originally going to be called What Are Friends For. It is out next year.

Britney and Justin Robbed
E!Online reported that Police in Destin, Florida, arrested four teenage boys Saturday night on burglary charges and grand theft after they broke into the pop couple's rental home and made off with a few collector's items, including more than $5,000 worth of video camera equipment, liquor bottles and clothes, the Associated Press reports. Britney and Justing were on vacation with friends and family in Florida's premier panhandle Spring Break zone just east of Pensacola (where Louisiana-types like to go) when they got raided. According to the police report, the thieves allegedly broke into the rental home through an unlocked back door when no one was around. But neighbors, who spotted the teens fleeing the scene with the goods, alerted police about the break-in. The following morning, the four were arrested and charged (their names were not disclosed because they are minors). One of the perpetrators was allegedly nabbed at his home while dubbing a copy of a stolen videotape that showed "personal" moments of the sweethearts, according to the police report. Fans hoping for a Pam and Tommy Lee-style tape from the self-declared virgin and her boyfriend can forget about it: The recovered items were returned to the couple and no other information about the contents of the videotapes was available at press time. Meanwhile, a rep for the two says the theft of liquor bottles doesn't necessarily mean the multiplatinum popsters broke any of the Sunshine state's underage drinking laws. "They were vacationing with their families so [the liquor bottles] could've belonged to anybody," said Lisa Kasteler, Spears' publicist. "I think it's a pretty simple story about breaking and entering." So much for vacation. Teen pop's reigning two some had been looking for some much needed R&R after a whirlwind month which had them both performing at not only the MTV Video Music Awards, but also at Michael Jackson's tribute concert and various promotional tours.

Britney An Honorary Nudist
WENN reported that Irish nudists are making Britney an honorary member of their organisation after she admitted to walking round her home naked. Britney revealed her love of wandering around her $3.9 million Hollywood home with no clothes on, and is apparently in good company with Bruce Willis and Demi Moore also being outspoken nudists. Britney says, "You should be proud of your sexuality. Just because I'm young doesn't mean I can't be sexy. Everybody's got an opinion about you, but the only one that matters is your own." The Irish Naturist Association work towards legalising nudism, and are delighted to praise the her with an honorary membership. Pat Gallagher, a spokeswoman for the Association, says, "We will give Britney a passport which will entitle her to attend all our club events when she comes to Ireland." Britney is well known for her skimpy and sexy outfits, so news of her nudist habits should come as no surprise to her many fans. She reveals, "I walk around my house naked, so I'm not very modest. I think the body's a beautiful thing, and you should not hide yourself." The Ireland based Association hope that Britney may help their cause with a naturist-themed hit record, "Maybe Britney should write a song about nudism in Ireland, maybe she could call it 'Eireann Go Bra-less'."

'On The Line' Soundtrack
Jive reported that they will release the soundtrack to the Miramax motion picture ``On The Line'' on October 16. ``On The Line'' opens nationwide on October 26 and stars Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, Richie Sambora, as well as newcomer Emmanuelle Chriqui. This impressive soundtrack kicks off with the title track and first single performed by the On The Line Allstars, which include Britney Spears, Vitamin C, Robyn and Richie Sambora, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, Mandy Moore, Christian Burns from BB Mak and True Vibe. ``On The Line'' shipped to CHR radio on September 24, with an impact date of October 4. A video for ``On The Line'' was directed by Marc Webb (Green Day, Three Doors Down, Good Charlotte) and will premiere on MTV's Making Of The Video on October 1. NSYNC add their unique blend of harmonies on 2 tracks, ``That Girl (Will Never Be Mine)'' and ``Falling,'' which were previously unreleased in the US. ``Falling'' was co-written by Chris Kirkpatrick of *NSYNC. One of the most prominent songs on the soundtrack comes from Al Green re-recording an up-tempo dance version of his classic hit ``Let's Stay Together.'' Green also has a cameo in the movie.

Britney Spears Lost In The Disney Channel Kids Awards
Ananova reported that Hear'Say, Westlife and Atomic Kitten are among the winners in the Disney Channel Kids Awards. Some two million fans voted via the internet and through McDonald's outlets for their favourite stars, and the successful nominees in 15 categories were announced during a ceremony at the London Arena. Celebrity couples Posh and Becks and US rivals Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake were listed among the nominees, but Manchester United star David Beckham was the only one of the four to triumph. The England skipper out-manoeuvred his hat-trick hero team-mate Michael Owen, among others, to net the best Football personality award. Victoria Beckham was beaten by Cat Deeley in the fashion stakes for the Best Dressed Celebrity award. Britney Spears was upstaged by Scouse girlband Atomic Kitten in the best Female Group/Artist category. The Kittens, who beat other nominees including Destiny's Child, Madonna and Samantha Mumba, were joined on stage by Brian Dowling for a celebratory rendition of their hit single Whole Again. The categories for Best Male Group/Artist and Band of the Year went to Dublin-based boyband Westlife, who also saw off competition from Robbie Williams, Craig David and Atomic Kitten. Hear'Say, who won the best New Chart Shakers award, celebrated on stage by belting out their hit singles Pure and Simple and Show Me The Way To Your Love. The event was screened today at 2.30pm on the Disney Channel.

Britney Works Double-Time On Music Videos
Sonicnet reported that Britney Spears' video for "I'm a Slave 4 U" — the first of two recently filmed clips from her new album, Britney — might look familiar to fans who saw her debut the song earlier this month at the Video Music Awards. In the clip, Spears and 15 dancers employ the same choreography seen in her VMA performance, only this time the bunch is moving and grooving in an underground Asian bath house. Spears is portrayed as a slave to the music who dances all night until she and the other dancers are sweaty and near dehydration, forcing them to search for water. "I'm a Slave 4 U" is the first single from her third album, due November 6. Francis Lawrence directed the video, shot on a soundstage in Universal City, California, over Labor Day weekend. A video for "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman" was shot early last month by director Wayne Isham, according to Spears' publicist at Jive Records, though further details are being kept under wraps. The Britney ballad will be featured in her upcoming still-untitled film.

Pepsi on Coke Photo
TheAge reported that given that it pays Britney millions of dollars, you'd think she find it easy to remember her sponsorship deal with Pepsi. So maybe it was the impact of the terrorist attacks in the US, or the beauty of Sydney, that led to Britney being photographed on a harbour cruise carrying a bottle of soft drink produced by competitor Coca-Cola. Pepsi is unhappy, although executives suggested there was no proof Spears, 19, had actually been drinking the contents of the three-quarters-empty bottle. "We understand there's a photo which has a competitor's product in the vicinity of Britney," said Pepsico Australia's marketing director Darren Borg. "We are not comfortable about the fact that that photo is out there." However he said Pepsi would not be taking any action against Britney. Sponsorship arrangements the company has with television programs, artists or associations, carry a general requirement of exclusivity for its product. Mr Borg said the matter had been taken seriously, with details forwarded to the company's US headquarters. "We've obviously sent all the details to management. We have looked at the photo closely," he said. The sponsorship deal with Britney, announced in February, runs through to the end of next year. Coca-Cola would not say so, but it was obviously quietly pleased. "I've got no comment to make because the picture speaks for itself," Coca-Cola Amatil's head of communications Geoff Walsh said.

Britney Breaks Out Into Rash Because Of Snake
Ananova reported that Britney Spears was so scared of performing on stage with a live snake she broke out into a rash. The singer draped the seven-foot albino python over her shoulders for her performance at the MTV Video Music Awards. She says she broke out in hives after the snake kept turning its face towards her during rehearsals. Britney told the Daily Record: "At rehearsals they kept saying 'Britney, just get comfortable with the snake, get to know it,' and I was like, 'I don't want to get to know this snake'. "It was around me and it kept turning its face and looking at me and pointing its tongue out at me and I got so scared that I broke out in hives everywhere. "In rehearsals I was a wreck, but once I went on stage, I was fine because I knew I just had to do it."

Jive Recording artist Britney Spears will release her 3rd album, Britney on November 6 worldwide. The first single, ``I'm A Slave 4 U,'' will impact CHR and Rhythm Crossover radio on September 24. Britney & Justin Foundations Give To Families Of Attack Victims
LAUNCH.com reported that The Giving Back Fund --the pooled-asset community charity foundation that manages the Britney Spears Foundation and the [*NSYNC member] Justin Timberlake Foundation, among others--has created a new Victims' Fund to aid the families of victims of last week's terrorist attacks. All of the funds collected will go to victims of the disaster, according to the organization. The Giving Back Fund is also gathering entertainers and athletes for a special event in the near future that will benefit the Victims' Fund. From WENN: Britney Spears feared for her brother Bryan's life when she heard about last week's terrorist attacks in New York. Britney was on her way to Australia when the tragedy occurred. She admits, "When I was told I just wanted to get to the hotel and call my father. "My brother is in New York and I was really worried about him. He was fine, thank goodness."

Remake of Classic Dance Hit "We Are Family"
RadioUnderCover reported that Britney Spears is confirmed to perform the remake of the classic dance hit "We Are Family." Nile Rodgers of Chic fame and writer of the Sister Sledge hit says "I am putting together a cross section of personalities to re-record my song, "We Are Family." He goes on to say that the song was had personal meaning to Nelson Mandela. "Mr. Nelson Mandela said one of the strongest rays of hope is the song "We Are Family." He told Bernard Edwards (my co-writer) and me it was constantly playing on the radios of his prison guards. The vision of white guards singing songs by black women on mainstream airwaves reassured him that South Africa would not be segregated forever" commented Niles. "Nothing lifts the spirit like song. Politicians and tacticians have known this since the beginning of time. In my own humble way I am giving the greatest gift I have – the gift of music. The proceeds of the new recording will go to various charities to benefit those who need our help". Also confirmed to perform on the new song already include Steven Tyler from Aerosmith, Busta Rhymes, NSYNC and Sister Sledge. Actors Macaulay Culkin and Kevin Bacon will also be on the recording. The song will be recorded over two sessions this Saturday and Sunday. -- MTV also reported this story.

More on 'What's Going On'
From USAToday: The all-star charitable remake of Marvin Gaye's 1971 hit What's Going On, recorded on Sept. 5 and 7 in New York, is released to radio and MTV today, and has shifted its focus to encompass relief for the victims of Sept. 11's terrorist attacks. The CD is under the auspices of Artists Against AIDS Worldwide, which will now donate 50% of its proceeds to the United Way's September 11th Fund. The remainder will go to fight AIDS in Africa. Five separate mixes of the song will be included on a CD released by Columbia Records and hitting stores Oct. 23. Today, Clear Channel radio stations are set to simulcast the song at 5 p.m. in each time zone. MTV will air the song on Total Request Live at 4:56 p.m. ET/PT, accompanied by a video montage of news and studio footage. Musicians appearing on the record include Christina Aguilera, the Backstreet Boys, Mary J. TRL Friday: "Whats Going On" To Premiere
TRL will premiere U2's Bono organized project, a cover of Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On," on tomorrow's show for contribution to last week's tragedy. Artists include Bono, Britney Spears, Wyclef Jean, 'N Sync, Fred Durst , Missy Elliott, Destiny's Child, Gwen Stefani, Mandy Moore and Mary J. Blige are included. Jewel will also come on the show to perform "Hands" live.

Britney NOT To Sing With Michael Jackson
BillBoard.com reported that according to a representative of Britney and Justin Timberlake, the two will not be involved in Michael Jackson's charity single. Britney Drinking Coke Instead of Pepsi
Daily Telegraph reported that A CAN of Coke held by Britney Spears while she was in Sydney could prove to be the most expensive soft drink ever consumed by a celebrity. Pop diva Britney Spears, photographed during a Sydney Harbour outing last Saturday afternoon, was snapped clutching a near-empty bottle of Coca-Cola. No big deal, right? Wrong. In keeping with its ongoing "choice of a generation" campaign, Pepsi is a major sponsor of the 19-year-old singer, in a deal reportedly bigger than those the soft drink company shelled out for Michael Jackson, Madonna and the Spice Girls. This year Spears signed a multi-year global marketing deal to appear in TV commercials as well as perform on a Pepsi-sponsored worldwide tour. "The chance to follow some of my heroes - some incredible performers - and create something new with the innovative people at Pepsi is very exciting for me," Spears said at the time. Britney Would Be A Good Teacher
WENN reported that Britney Spears has a back-up career path planned for if her music career ever fails - she could become a teacher. According to her own tutors, Spears would make the perfect mentor, and her own performance in school only goes to show how dedicated she'd be to the children. Tutor CHUCK YEARGER says, "If her teacher said she had to do it in red ink, she did it in red ink. And if she didn't have a red pen, we had to find it for her because her teacher wanted it that way." Britney Prays For Terror Victims
Ananova reported that Britney Spears has attended a church service in Sydney to pray for the victims of the US terrorist attacks. The singer left the church in tears after the service, according to fans in the congregation. Britney later said in an interview on Australian TV that she was "heartbroken" by the attacks in New York and Washington. She was left stranded in Australia after finding out about the attacks when she arrived for what was supposed to be a 48-hour visit to record a TV special. According to WorldOfBritney.com, one fan who spotted Britney at the church service said: "Her depressed expression broke my heart."

Britney To Raise Money For Children Of WTC Disaster
MTV reported that Britney Spears is aiming to raise as much as $2 million on her upcoming North American tour for the youngest victims of last week's World Trade Center attacks. The pop star will donate $1 from every ticket sold during the 31-show excursion to the children of the New York police officers and firefighters lost in the catastrophic act of terrorism, according to her publicist. Additionally, the proceeds from exclusive merchandise sold on the road and monies raised through auctioning off many front row tickets to the concerts will benefit the fund. Further details on the auction can be found on the singer's official Web site. The seven-week North American tour kicks off October 26 in Miami, Florida. Spears is also dedicating a special division of the Britney Spears Foundation, a charity she formed last year in association with the Giving Back Fund, to the children affected by the tragedy.

Justin's Granny Doubts He Will Marry Britney
RUMOR: Ananova reported that Justin Timberlake's Granny Nolan has expressed doubts he will marry Britney Spears. His Gran thinks the relationship is just "puppy love". She also denied reports the pair share a house in Hollywood. Granny Nolan told The Express: "Justin loves Britney and he trusts her but they are only teenagers and they may well just think they are in love." "It is Britney's house and Justin has only stayed there a couple of times since she bought it. "They really don't see each other often at all and we are not expecting a marriage." Britney to Join Other Pop Acts for Fundraiser
MTV reported that Michael Jackson is spearheading an all-star benefit single for the survivors and families of victims in last week's terrorist attacks. Britney Spears will join Jackson on a song titled "What More Can I Give." Others that will join include Destiny's Child, 'NSYNC's Justin Timberlake, Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter and Mya. Jackson's spokesperson, Howard Rubenstein, told Reuters that more singers will contribute to the single and that it will be released as soon as possible. "We have demonstrated time and again that music can touch our souls," Jackson said in his statement. "It is time we used that power to help us begin the process of healing immediately." Jackson has already begun working on "What More Can I Give," which he is writing and producing. He hopes the single will raise $50 million, he said. "I believe in my heart that the music community will come together as one and rally to the aid of thousands of innocent victims," Jackson said. "There is a tremendous need for relief dollars right now and through this effort each one of us can play an immediate role in helping comfort so many people." Plans for a Spanish-language version of the song are also in the works.

Britney's World Tour Not Canceled Yet
Any reports so far about Britney's World Tour being cancel are not true as Jive has not released any statments or press releases regarding it. We been getting news about Fox News channel reporting on ticker on the bottom, that one of the tickers reading "Britney's World Tour Cancelled". My guess is they got it confused with the cancellation of her European and South American promotional tour, which in fact did get canceled because of the events of last week.

Britney Gets Cosy With A Koala
WENN reported that BRITNEY SPEARS is getting close to nature, after cuddling up to a koala bear during her tour to Australia. The BABY ONE MORE TIME singer took a break from promoting her latest single I'M A SLAVE 4 U by spending some quality time with the koala in Sydney. The 19-year-old shared a giggle and appeared more at ease than when she appeared recently with a 7-foot(2.13 metres) python around her neck and a caged tiger at the MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS ceremony in New York. The MTV stunt raised the hackles of many animal rights campaigners who objected to the use of the animals in her live routine.

A Look Into Britney's New House in Hollywood Hills
The Observer put up an article in which Jenny Eliscu pops into her bedroom for some girl talk. The article starts off "If there were such a thing as new-house smell, Britney Spears's Hollywood Hills home would reek of it. At the top of a steep driveway, evidence of recent construction - two-by-fours, chunks of concrete - sits in a pile next to the dustbins. And as you step inside the three-storey structure that the singer bought in January for a reported $3m, it almost seems like a hotel. In the kitchen, full sets of plates are topped by rolled-up linen napkins and there's that just-cleaned, not-lived-in feeling.
Neither flashy nor cute nor particularly fashionable, Britney's house is awash in neutral colours and deep, rich maroons that Martha Stewart would approve of. In the living room are two overstuffed beige couches; on a bookshelf sits a solitary photo, a shot of our hostess - one of her favourites - smiling prettily next to actress Susan Sarandon. Framed pictures of birds decorate the walls and candles are arranged around each room. The Southern-gothic decor is cosy without being dowdy, but mostly it's just very grown up. Britney's bedroom has its own set of sofas which form a sitting area adjacent to the regal-looking four-poster bed. A glass door leads out to a modest patio where Britney says she does most of her entertaining. 'We just hang out,' she says, relishing her role as tour guide. 'You know, listen to music. Party. Britney Went to Bondi Beach in Australia
The Age reported that Britney Spears, stranded in Australia by flight restrictions following the devastating terrorist attacks in the US, celebrated her extended stay yesterday with a trip to Bondi Beach. The teen star was in Australia on a tour to promote her next album. But the tragic events in the US first forced the cancellation of a key engagement and later, the two upcoming legs in her world promotional schedule. With her immediate commitments on hold, Spears, 19, and some of her entourage put their feet up, mixing with the crowd at packed Bondi Beach. Spears began her outing with breakfast on the beachfront before a stroll down to the beach for a couple of hours lounging in the sun. More than a dozen photographers following her every movement went into a frenzy of clicks when she removed her t-shirt, revealing a multi-coloured, polka-dotted swimming outfit, christening it in Australia with a 15-minute dip. Rebecca McIntosh, from Dover Heights, said Spears appeared to freely mingle with other beachgoers. "I don't think anyone know's she's here really, except for the photographers, and they're all lurking on the side giving the game away," Ms McIntosh, 32, told AAP. Spears flew into Australia last Wednesday with other passengers including film star Keanu Reeves and Australian tennis champion Lleyton Hewitt. The trio were only told of the attack as they touched down in Sydney. Sources in Spears' touring party said the singer took the news badly, breaking down and sobbing before her minders were able to console her. Britney Cancelled Trips To South America and Europe
Ananova reported that Britney Spears has cancelled her promotional trips to South America and Europe so she can return to her family in the US. The singer has apologised to fans and the media in Brazil and Germany for the inconvenience. The singer only found out about the New York and Washington terrorist attacks when she arrived in Australia to film a TV special. WorldOfBritney.com reports Britney said in a statement: "After much thought and deliberation it is with great regret that I have decided to cancel my planned European and Latin American promotion trips. "Many of our party including myself have spoken to our families and need to be with them at this sad time for America and for the entire world. We are currently unable to get flights back to the United States, so we plan to stay in Australia until this is possible. "Until we leave, and shortly after we get back, I will make myself available for any interviews that can be rescheduled to take place in the United States. "I realise that this will be a big disappointment to my fans and the media involved in and around the territory visits and launch events that were planned to take place in Cologne and Rio de Janeiro. "I truly apologise to you all for this inconvenience and trust you will understand my decision to return home, and spend time with my family and loved ones."

Britney in UK to Film a TV Show
Anaova.com reported that Britney Spears is heading for the UK to record a TV show later this month. She is due to appear on CD:UK on September 22. Britney will perform her new single, 'I'm A Slave 4 U', on the show. SpearsUniverse.com reports 'I'm A Slave 4 U' is being remixed by the Thunderpuss remixing team. A posting on the unofficial website says: "The team says the remix has 'Lotsa energy, is sexy and very, very catchy.' "No words yet on if this remix will be available commercially in the US." Thunderpuss's last work for Britney Spears was a remix of the single 'Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know'.

BT Pulls out of Britney's 3rd Album
WorldofBritney.com reported that an E-mail was received stating "BT pulled the 2 Britney Spears tracks he produced. They will never see the light of day. I know why, but you'll have to tie me up to find out why. I will tell you this, though...BT is not a *****. So don't treat him like one." This information originated from BT's official site. BT is known to be behind NSYNC's "Pop" and according to official reports had produced 2 songs for Britney Spears, one of them "Before the Goodbye" and another one which never got it's name released.

Britney Honors Victims
DotMusic reported that Britney Spears has dedicated her Australian tour to the victims of the US terrorist attacks. "I would like to dedicate my time here in Australia to all those who lost their lives in this tragedy and their families and friends who continue to suffer," reports a fan site. She has also cancelled promotional events around the Australian launch of her album. "Due to the terrible sequence of events and tragedies in the United States that have impacted us all, I do not feel it appropriate to hold a Press Conference here in Australia for the launch of my album," reports worldofbritney.com. "This pales in comparison to what we have just witnessed. My thoughts and condolences are with our fellow citizens who have lost their lives and with their friends and families." "Words can't describe how I feel right now. I will be continuing with my schedules here in Australia as planned but I'm sure all of you will understand the decision that has been taken under the current circumstances." It has also been revealed that her new album will be called "Britney" and will be released in Europe on November 5th. A single "I'm A Slave 4 U" will precede it in early October.

A Shocked Britney
Later yesterday, once the news had been digested, Britney and her record label, Zomba, decided to cancel her press conference to launch her new single, Slave 4 U. Shaken, she was surprised to find dozens of photographers at the airport - many assembled to see Lleyton Hewitt, who was on the same flight, arrive from New York. Insiders say she was stunned by the news. She was concerned for many of her family and friends, including boyfriend Justin Timberlake, who was believed to still be in New York. Yesterday, Zomba records cancelled the press conference. More than 200 media reps were to assemble at the Museum of Contemporary Art including some from Asia who were flying in specifically to see the pop sensation. A spokesman told SYDNEY CONFIDENTIAL that, at this point, Britney would honour her other commitments - which include two days of interviews as well as the filming of a television special at the Nine Network to be aired in November. Spears and her label do not feel it is appropriate to be launching her single in light of the horrific events that have taken place in the US. Britney, who spent yesterday holed up in her hotel room, is due to fly to Brazil on Saturday. On Friday night, she will be interviewed by Richard Wilkins and perform three songs (two to backing tapes, one with a pianist) at Channel 9.

Britney's New Album to be called "Britney"
According to our affiliate World of Britney.com, Zomba Records in the UK has just let them know that Britney's 3rd album which will be released in the UK/Europe/Australia on Nov 5th followed by the US release on Nov 6th will be called "Britney". Therefore it will be self titled. The album as we know will feature a more edgier sound, Britney will move away from the old bubblegum pop and introduce HipHop and R&B into her music. Collaborations from the Neptunes, Max Martin, Dido, Rodney Jerkins and Justin Timberlake among others, are expected to be featured on the album. Britney's first single "I'm A Slave 4 U" will be released as a single on October 1st, followed by "Not A Girl", the title track from Britney's new movie with a still unknown release date. The music videos for "I'm A Slave 4 U" and "Not A Girl" have already been shot.

See A Different Side of Britney In Her Movie
WENN reported that Britney Spears' new movie "What Friends Are For" is allowing her fans to see her as a real person. A producer for the film, in which Spears plays a girl who goes on a life-changing road trip, claims the movie will show the singing diva in her most natural light. Ann Carli says, "I thought that a coming of age movie - where the character that Brit plays is dealing with the same issues that every young girl is dealing with, where you see her in sweats with her parents and her friends - will bring back a degree of accessibility that you're not trying to get in a music video. THQ Incorporated announced a worldwide, exclusive agreement with Britney Brands Inc. to publish games featuring Britney Spears. The agreement grants THQ exclusive rights to publish Britney Spears games for Sony PlayStation 2, Nintendo Game Boy Advance and PC through 2005. The first Britney videogame is scheduled to release in spring 2002. Britney Arrives Safely to Sydney
According to our affiliate World of Britney.com, Britney has arrived safely to Sydney less than an hour ago. She had no idea of what had happened in New York (where her brother lives) until the plane landed in Sydney. She was too distressed to talk to any media, instead rushing to her awaiting car and going to her hotel. No announcement has yet been made as to whether the tour ­ which includes filming a TV special ­will go ahead as planned. Terrorist Attacks Hit US
If you have been watching TV or listening to the radio today, you already know what has happend. I am still shaken by todays events. I did not find out till I was on my way to work and turned on the radio.

I live 30 minutes out of the New York City, so I am fine but I have family who live and work in the city. I have talked to all of them and they are all fine, which I am greatful for. My prayers go out to all the victims and their families. All we can do is pray and wait to find out the final outcome of all this. If you want to find out more, visit CNN.com!

We have also gotten a few emails asking us if Britney was in NYC when all this happened. I don't know that answer, but what I do know is that yesterday Britney was in NYC. Let's just hope that she is safe, where ever she may be.

Britney Will Be In Australia This Week Without Her Family
The Age reported that Britney Spears will make her first visit to Australia without her mother and sister, her record company said yesterday. The star was expected to be accompanied by her mother Lynne Spears and sister Jamie Lynn on the promotional tour this week, but plans changed, according to Brooke Harry from Zomba Records, the company that distributes Spears' Jive label. "We got word this morning that her mother and sister aren't coming," Ms Harry told AAP. "It would have been lovely to see some of Britney's family experience her first visit to Australia." She said the pair would join Spears on the European and Brazilian legs of her promotional tour. With no public appearances planned for Spears, fans will unlikely get the chance to get even a glimpse of the star. Fans unwilling to take no for an answer will need to either camp out at the Nine Network's Willoughby studios on Wednesday afternoon, or head to Sydney's Museum of Contemporary Art at The Rocks on Thursday for her press conference. Spears, 19, will be recording a television special at the Nine Network studios to be aired in November, among numerous media commitments during her 48-hour whirlwind Sydney visit. About 220 people will see Britney's only Australian performance, where she will launch her new single, I'm a Slave 4 You. Two tickets for the performance, however, are being sold on the internet to raise money for The Starlight Foundation, for whom Spears is a patron. So far bidding - at www.ebay.com.au - has reached $1,000 for the two tickets, with the auction closing on Wednesday. Spears' fan-free schedule is in contrast to last year's Australian visit by US boy band, Backstreet Boys, who are also on the Jive label. During that promotional tour last November, 8,000 fans flocked to one of the group's appearances. "Britney is only in the country for a couple of days but during that time she'll be working extremely hard," Ms Harry told AAP. Speculation surrounding the details of Spears' visit has increased ahead of her arrival, leading to incorrect reports that she would stage a public performance at the Opera House and other claims that she was already in the country and had been making unreasonable demands with her hotel. But Ms Harry confirmed that Spears had not yet arrived in Australia. "She's not here just yet, she's arriving mid-week," she said. Britney's Tour Going To Be Theatrical
WENN reported that BRITNEY SPEARS will grab another page from MADONNA's playbook with a "really, really theatrical" tour that will chart her journey toward full-blown adulthood. The tour is slated to kick off in Miami next month and will include revamped versions of Britney's hits, plus plenty of new songs from her upcoming third album, presumably including the just-debuted I'M A SLAVE 4 U. Tour director and choreographer WADE ROBSON says, "The show is gonna be really, really theatrical - it's really complicated. It's a massive show with a lot of new music. It's just gonna be really different. The stuff from the previous albums, we'll remix it and take it in a new direction - flip it up a bit." Fans will get a taste of Spears' acting talents in numerous video clips that will frame the show, Robson adds, saying, "You're gonna learn a lot more about her as a person. The show is gonna be really about how she's becoming a woman, how she's finding herself and her independence. She knows what she wants to do, she knows who she wants to be, and that's what the show's about."

Sony Hired Britney To Endorse Playstation 2
WENN reported that Microsoft Corp., Nintendo Co. and Sony Corp. are all planning major publicity pushes for their games console machines this fall in an effort to raise the profile of their machines and game characters to the level of household names. The console market is currently worth $20bn annually, and for the past half decade has been dominated by Nintendo and Sony, with Microsoft arriving as the newcomer this year. Beyond the usual advertising outlets, these companies intend to use soda bottles, fast food chains and sports events to get the message out. Nintendo intends to take over nightclubs for the launch of its Gamecube console, Sony has hired Britney Spears to endorse PlayStation 2, and Microsoft is sending out big rigs to take its new Xbox to the people. The activity is certainly good news for the troubled advertising industry, as Microsoft plans to spend $500m on promotion worldwide, while Nintendo and Sony will spend around $250m each in North America.

Britney To Record Charity CD With Other Pop Acts
Britney Spears joins Nsync, Backstreet Boys and Christina Aguilera to record a charity CD in aid of World Relief. Jive Records are also inviting other artists, such as Destiny's Child. World Relief in co-operation with The National Association of Evangelicals works with churches in the Third World to help aid victims of disaster, poverty, persecution and disease. Steps and R. Kelly will also be donating their time and vocals to the CD.

Jive Paid $1 Million Dollars For Britney To Perform at the VMA
WENN reported that several record labels are angry at MTV - for making the companies pay to get their artists on the annual VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS SHOW. The show on Thursday night at the Metropolitan Opera House was packed and attracted advertisers, but the labels are wondering what the payoff is. A source tells website PAGESIX.COM, "SONY had to pick up the entire tab for JENNIFER LOPEZ, which was close to $250,000, while JIVE paid up to $1 million for BRITNEY SPEARS and 'N SYNC to perform. The labels picked up all the expenses and got nothing - but what choice do they have? "Sony and ZOMBA are thinking of calling a meeting next week and telling MTV they will no longer pick up the tab." A rep for MTV said, "MTV paid for the VMA's in full, including all rehearsals and staging for every performance. To the extent that artists choose to do anything above and beyond, it's their choice."

MuchMusic Reported Why Britney Lip-synced at the VMA

"Both Jive and MTV reported that the only reason Britney lip-synced was because the power kept going out, as it had before the U2 performance. Britney was also supposed to play the guitar during her performance, but wasn't able to do that either. The show was already 15 minutes over so she
was asked to lip-sync. They caught up with Britney at the After Party, and this is what she had to say - "I felt really bad doing it, but you know, I would rather give them a good performance, then have the power go out. Everyone was tired, and I didn't want to be the cause of a 3-1/2 hour show. Sorry to ya'll that had to see that!"

Britney Defied Animal Rights Campaigners
Ananova reported that Britney Spears has defied animal rights campaigners by appearing on stage with a live tiger and a snake at MTV's annual Video Music Awards. She wrapped the snake around herself as she performed her new single. Her choreographer Wade Robson defended the routine. He said: "There was no mistreatment of any animals. They had trainers and handlers. "She was not afraid of the tiger. But the snake freaked her out." Campaign group PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) had written to Britney asking her not to use big cats on stage.

Britney Performed "The Way You Make Me Feel" With Jackon
Earlier in the day, WENN reported that Jackson will be taking the stage for "Michael Jackson: 30th Anniversary Celebration, The Solo Years." This celebration, jam-packed with celebrities and musicians, will take place today and Monday in Madison Square Garden. This will be the first time Jackson will perform onstage since his 1984 "Victory" tour. Tickets for the celebration sold out in a record-breaking five hours. Britney, along with many others, contributed to "MTV: Uncensored," a full color book filled with never before told stories and rarely seen photos from world famous photographers like David LaChapelle, Mark Seliger and Frank Micelotta. "MTV: Uncensored" serves as an oral history of the network's illustrious 20 years, filled with anecdotes, stories, and behind-the-scenes revelations from the people who experienced it, including the stars, producers, and production assistants. Britney's Need For Speed
Las Vegas Sun has a piece about Britney's need for speed, which reads:

I mean, she's skinny, but she's not invisible. So just how did little miss Britney Spears sneak onto Speed, the super-cruising roller coaster at Sahara, and go unnoticed? Employees of the hotel, coaster monitors, even NASCAR Cafe owner Mark Dyer were shocked to see a lengthy commercial for the ride, featuring a screaming Spears, on MTV starting last weekend. Last month the clothing-challenged teen singer hopped aboard Speed while on a weekend trip to Vegas and rode it at least three times, according to one source. A camera crew accompanied her for a segment on the MTV series "Diary." Turns out Spears was originally scheduled to ride the Stratosphere's Big Shot that day, as part of her "unscripted" jaunt through Vegas, but high winds forced the group to abandon Shot and high-tail it to Speed. Once there, the staff didn't think twice about a girl and a crew -- didn't even ask what the cameras were for, in fact. Suffice to say Dyer and company were thrilled with the plug, even more so when Spears added it was the "best roller coaster ride" she'd ever had.

Britney Meets Mick Jagger
For those of you who didn't get the chance to watch the VMAs last night, Britney was introduced to Mick during the pre-show. Mick Jagger gave a scantily clad Britney Spears the ultimate compliment - by admitting he was a fan of her version of "Satisfaction." Britney, dressed in a see-through black lace outfit, was introduced to the Rolling Stone on her way up the red carpet. She was stunned and embarrassed when the rock god used the meeting to compliment her on her singing prowess. Jagger told reporters, "Of course I'm a Britney fan, she did one of our songs, didn't she? She did it very well." Britney coyly joked, "It's because I'm sitting right here! Well, thank you for saying it, that's means a lot." But although the pair were mutually appreciative on the red carpet, things might not be so friendly in November, both Britney and Jagger have albums released in the same month

Britney's Performance Amazing!
Britney's performance at the VMA, which ended the event, was amazing. It was worth the 3 1/2 hour wait. The set for the performance was a jungle theme, which consisted caged cheetahs on the stage. One cool surpirse was that Britney danced with a snake around her shoulders. Britney rocked the house, as always!!!

Jermaine Dupri Wants to Work With Britney
Ananova reported that rap artist and producer Jermaine Dupri says he is to record a version of Marvin Gaye's classic What's Going On with U2 frontman Bono. Dupri told MTV that he also wants to produce a new We Are The World-style record featuring today's pop idols. He aims to involve artists such as Britney Spears and Usher in the project. Dupri told MTV the track would be recorded either before or after the MTV Video Music Awards, because all the artists will be in New York for the event.

Britney Drops Out Of The Michael Jackson Tribute
It's official, FoxNews.com reported that Britney has indeed dropped out of the Michael Jackson Tribute because the event clashed with her own HBO special. "Britney did have to pull out and she's really upset about it," said Ame Van Iden, a spokeswoman for the publicity firm that represents Britney. She had committed to perform "The Way You Make Me Feel" with Jackson during the extravaganza at Madison Square Garden tomorrow night. Concert organizers were expecting her at rehearsals this week, but Britney canceled at the last minute. Under her contract with HBO, the songstress can't have any performance broadcast within a month of Britney Spears Live from the MGM Grand Las Vegas, which airs Nov. 18 on the cable channel. When she signed on with Jackson, she thought his CBS special would air early enough to avoid the blackout period, but the air date has since changed, her reps said. A CBS spokeswoman said no date for Jackson's show has been set, but confirmed it was unlikely to happen before Oct. 18, shutting Spears out.

Britney Banned From Wacko Jacko Tribute Show
WENN reported that Britney has been left in tears after being forbidden from appearing at Michael Jackson's anniversary show by TV bosses. The event is being televised by the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS) - while Britney is under exclusive contract to Home Box Office (HBO). Attorneys for the TV station told Britney's manager that she will be sued for "millions" if she appears. Both Spears and Jackson are said to have wept over the ban. A member of Jackson's staff says, "He just wept into the phone. He was inconsolable."

Britney Catfight
Yahoo! reported that PETA, The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, is growling at Britney and her plan to use four live cheetahs for her appearance Thursday at MTV's Video Music Awards in New York. The New York Post reports the spotted cats are supposedly going to be prowling the stage around Britney as she wails her new hip-hop-flavored tune, "I'm A Slave 4 U," while simulating an orgasm on stage à la Madonna. While it won't be quite as dramatic as Russell Crowe fending off those striped felines in Gladiator, and the cheetahs won't be harmed, PETA believes the use of wild animals for stage trickery is cruel. To that end, the group sent a letter to the singer on Wednesday requesting she drop the big cats from her show. "We're writing today in the hope that you'll open your heart to the plight of captive 'wild' animals caged and forced to tolerate bright lights, crowds and frightening levels of noise," writes PETA campaigns director Dan Matthews. Matthews asks Spears to think about it from the feline's point of view. "Cheetahs used in show business are often trained through intimidation and with such devices as electric shock prods and sticks. Whippings, beatings, and starvation are common methods used to break the spirit of free-roaming independent animals," he writes. "Instead of crossing acres of land at night in their natural homelands, those cheetahs have no normal social or behavioral life and suffer terribly in the meager space they are allotted." Matthews also reminds Spears that other pop stars have foregone the use of wild animals in their live shows, most notably Janet Jackson, who after prodding from PETA, opted not to use a black panther on her Rhythm Nation tour. Spears' handlers have refused to comment on the letter or on the singer's MTV plans. PETA does have one thing going for it, however: Britney is an animal lover who prefers wearing fake fur and pleather to the real deal.

Britney To Sing With Numerous Pop Stars For AIDS Fundraiser
NationalPost reported that with the big names in the music business converging in New York City for tomorrow night's MTV Video Music Awards, Bono, the lead singer of U2, had to act quickly. Three weeks ago he began calling the stars, one after the other, and made a pitch on behalf of voiceless Africans suffering from AIDS. Beginning today, in a studio in the Chelsea section of Manhattan, more than 20 of the world's hottest artists and bands are coming out to rerecord Marvin Gaye's single What's Going On in a fund-raiser that the organizers hope will rival Live Aid. Bono will sing alongside Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Destiny's Child, 'N Sync, No Doubt, and Christina Aguilera, among others committed to laying down tracks in the studio over the next five days. Details will be announced at a press conference today. Proceeds from the single, due out by Dec. 1, World AIDS Day, will go to build health clinics in some of the parts of Africa hardest hit by the deadly disease. It will be the latest in a long history of charity work by musicians, who have used their celebrity to help those ranging from Bangladesh flood victims to American farmers. But the organizers hope that this effort, aimed at helping some of the 25 million Africans infected with HIV/AIDS, eclipses all that came before it.

Britney Rocks On New Album
Spearsuniverse reports that Britney makes the revelation in a new interview for MTV Latin America. Britney says she mixes new sounds with the original style that launched her career. But she adds she won't be departing too far from her pop roots. "Pop music in general is popular music so I'm just bringing pop music to a different level, but it's always going to be pop music," said Britney. "That's what I love to do, I love to dance and pop music is incorporated in that." The interview will be aired next week on MTV Latin America.

TRL Interview with Britney
Britney was interviewed by MTV vj Hilary, live at the VMA rehearsals. Britney talked about the music she's listening to now (she said she "is in love with Alicia Keys"), joking with Justin about being nominated in the same category, as well as her own performance. She said it's very different and it will not be what you expect (even though we all know the big surprise by now) and that she couldn't release any more details. Hilary laced into Britney that she has had a career 8 VMA nominations and never won. You could hear the TRL audience in the background laughing (though I didn't think it was funny). Britney said being there was fun enough and winning means nothing, though she said "it would be nice".

Britney Slammed by Animal Campaigners
From WENN: Animal campaigners are outraged at plans by Britney to perform her new single with four caged cheetahs. She will be singing "I'm A Slave 4 U" on an expensive stage set that will feature four specially trained animals at this year's MTV Music Video Awards on Thursday. Britain's Royal Society For the Prevention of Cruelty To Animals have condemned the plans. An RSPCA spokeswoman says, "It's sending out the wrong message to thousands of Britney's young fans. "Our main concern would be the noise levels at the show. Cats have keen senses of sound and react to different levels. These cats are probably well trained but by using them Britney is giving out that the message that it's OK to use animals in this way and it isn't."

Britney Uses Fake ID
WENN reported that Britney admits she breaks the law in order to have fun partying by using fake identification to get into nightclubs and drink alcohol. She says, "I was talking to a bunch of friends who had fake IDs and I told them I had one too." WENN reported that Britney is promising to make another movie in Hollywood, because her debut film wasn't raunchy enough. Ananova reported that Britney Spears will share a stage with live cheetahs at the MTV Video Music Awards, according to reports on the internet. The World Of Britney.com website claims to have an insider's report on Britney's planned performance. Singing her new single I'm A Slave 4 U, Britney will reportedly be on stage with more than 30 dancers and four well-trained cheetahs. World Of Britney.com reports that Britney also plays guitar for a short period during the performance, before the cheetahs make their appearance and Britney goes on to sing What It's Like To Be Me. The MTV Video Music Awards 2001 ceremony takes place on Thursday, September 6.

Britney's VMA Performance to Include Animals
NYPOST.COM reported that Britney Spears is planning something beastly for MTV's Video Music Awards. Pop's teen queen will debut her new single, "Slave 4 U," at Thursday's big event at Lincoln Center, and although details of the performance are under wraps, this much is certain: She'll be out there with a bunch of animals. "She's trying to anticipate giving us a production number that was even better than last year," said Salli Frattini, an executive producer of this year's VMAs, referring to Spears' show-stopping strip routine at the 2000 ceremony. "There are animals involved. It's a really elaborate staging that she's been rehearsing for weeks." Spears' number will close the show, which will be broadcast live from the Metropolitan Opera House at 8 p.m. Anyone who saw last year's VMAs knows that Spears and Rage Against the Machine's Tim C. - who climbed the scaffolding behind one of the presenters' podiums and had to be lured down by security - almost single-handedly made the event worth watching.

Radio stations all across the USA will recieve "I'm A Slave 4 You" on Monday September,10. This news was confirmed by Kiss 98.5 WKSE.
