Britney To Introduce DVD Version of Crossroads In UK
Ananova reported that the DVD version of Crossroads will include an introduction by Britney Spears. The film is released on video and DVD on October 21 in the UK. Among the extras included on the DVD are seven deleted scenes, a karaoke competition and the videos to I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman and Overprotected.

Britney Mentioned In Prince William On ABC
Britney was mentioned tonight in the "Prince William" movie on ABC. The movie was about how young William grows to manhood after the death of Princess Diana, attends college and bonds with his father and brother. Britney's name was mentioned, it was on New Years for 2000. He was sending her an e-mail and his friend goes "You're sending an e-mail to Britney Spears?!?" That was around the time when rumors were going around saying that Britney and William were a couple.

Summer is over. The weather in NY is beautiful. Perfect weather for fashion shows. Brit loved going to the shows. She’s planning to go to a couple of shows overseas, as well. Brit will probably work with a few music producers while she’s abroad, too.

Jamie Lynn and I have been with Brit in NYC for the last 2 weeks. Jamie Lynn has been doing lots of promotion for her show “All That” with one of her fellow cast members, Jack DeCenta. Brit and Jamie Lynn were so busy! For three days, we kept missing each other in the hotel. Then when we finally got to spend time together, we slept until 4:00pm. We all agree it felt so good to catch up on sleep. Jamie Lynn is a late sleeper, and sometimes refuses to get out of bed.

We attended the Broadway show Hairspray last night. It was great! Some of the numbers gave us goose bumps. We are planning to attend a few more plays this week while we are here. And last but not least, we will see Reese Witherspoon’s new movie Sweet Home Alabama this weekend... we can’t wait! Jamie Lynn and Jack helped with the “Stars & Stripes” 9/11 charity ice skating event at Madison Square Garden last Friday. It was a sensational show! We were deeply touched with the stories we heard from the participants of the event backstage. We have enjoyed this magnificent city with all of its exciting activity that you can find nowhere else. We love NYC!

P.S. To Maria Zeppieri, The fairies are precious and much appreciated!

Justin Timberlake Makes A Very Personal Admission
LAUNCH reported that *NSYNC singer Justin Timberlake--who is prepping for the November 5 release of his debut solo album, Justified--recently admitted that he performed oral sex on his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears. The pop singer made the admission while visiting New York radio hosts Star And Buc Wild during the WQHT-FM morning show on Monday (September 23).

Timberlake was pressed into making the admission after Star offered to provide the singer's latest single, "Like I Love You" featuring Clipse, with 30 additional spins a week in exchange. When asked if he performed oral sex on Spears, Timberlake begrudgingly responded, "OK, I did it...I'm in so much damn trouble."

This is not a rumor, it actually happend so that is why we are posting it. I am very sorry if anyone gets offended but we don't write the news, we just report it to keep Britney fans as informed as possible.

Britney In New Advertising Campaign Against Piracy
cdfreaks reported that Britney Spears is among the pop stars fronting a new advertising campaign aimed at warning people against online piracy.

The pop stars will appear in commercials which will be screened on TV in the United States over the next few months.

We want to hit fans with the message that downloading music illegally is, as Britney Spears explains, the same as going into a CD store and stealing the CD," said Hilary Rosen of the Recording Industry Association Of America (RIAA).

"Too many people don't realise that when you download a song you like from a peer-to-peer network or some other unauthorised internet service, you're stealing music," she said. Missy Elliott is also involved in the campaign

The TV adverts will be shown at a Congressional hearing on piracy in Washington on Thursday before making their debut on US screens a few weeks later.

A print campaign, featuring such performers as Eminem, Madonna, Missy Elliott, Elton John and Luciano Pavarotti will be launched in major American newspapers and magazines this week.

Well as long as they include pictures of Britney, I personally don't mind, but then again I don't live in the US.

Britney To Receive NBMF Children's Choice Award
LAUNCH reported that Britney Spears and Los Angeles's Universal Amphitheatre will be honored with the prestigious Children's Choice Award at the Neil Bogart Memorial Fund's (NBMF) annual Bogart Tour For A Cure on November 4 in L.A.

Spears will receive the award for her strong commitment to children's issues and charitable giving. Spears's contributions to kids include her Britney Spears Foundation, which creates playrooms for sick children on extended hospital stays, and the Britney Spears Camp For The Performing Arts, which offers disadvantaged children the opportunity to learn from top acting, singing, and dancing professionals during a 10-day camp stay in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Spears also raised a million dollars during her recent Dream Within A Dream tour for the children who were victims of the September 11 attacks.

"It is an honor to be recognized in the music industry for my commitment to children," said Spears. "I get so much out of seeing a child's self-esteem and happiness grow through the projects I have worked on. To be recognized for this is amazing."

This year's Bogart Tour For A Cure will commence with a preshow reception on the Universal Studios lot, followed by an evening of entertainment paying tribute to 30 historic years of performances at the Universal Amphitheatre. The legendary venue has hosted more than 3,500 events since 1972. Dick Clark will open and close the show. Spears will not be performing in the show, but she will attend the evening as a guest of honor.

Britney Leaves Trail of Havoc
NYPOST Gossip Section Page Six reported that Britney Spears and her bevy of bodyguards managed to ward off a process server and disrupt a Patricia Field fashion show last weekend.

The fun began when Spears' partner in her restaurant Nyla, Bobby Ochs, resigned last week. Ochs is being sued for $86,000 in back rent by Joseph Z. Morris, the landlord of Ochs' failed former venture Peaches, which he ran with Marla Maples.

Morris' lawyer, Gerald Padian, says he had served Spears with a subpoena to testify about Ochs' financial stake in Nyla, but she was a no-show at the deposition last week.

"She didn't show up, so we're moving to hold her in contempt of court," Padian told us. "We've located her several times to serve her again, but she's always surrounded by a phalanx of bodyguards. We tried to serve her at the Matthew Williamson after-party on Friday night, but she was surrounded by 11 bodyguards. They couldn't get near her."

But Britney's lawyer, Michael Friedman, says Padian is "harassing" his pop tart client. "To my knowledge she has never been served and we are objecting to any deposition on the grounds that she has no information. They're trying to burden and harass her because of who she is. They've been told that, but for some reason they're proceeding because they want to grab a headline."

Padian retorts: "My client doesn't need headlines, he needs his money. We've served more important people than Spears. We will get her."

After frustrating Padian's process servers at the Williamson party and at the Full Frontal Fashion bash on West 13th Street (where PAGE SIX couldn't even get close enough to make eye contact), Britney and her posse whooped it up at Suite 16 in Chelsea.

Then, on Sunday, Spears held up Patricia Field's fashion show for almost an hour when she tried to duck photographers lying in wait for her.

"They were about to sit down in the front row when Britney saw all the photographers waiting for her and then they left and the photographers started to boo her," says a spy. "Pat Fields' assistants went nuts trying to fill the seats and 20 minutes later they had to clear everyone out again after Britney was coaxed back into the show."

A Nyla spokesman confirms that Ochs quit his role running the place last week, a job to be taken over by Dylan hotel management. Britney's boite has also hired a new kitchen boss, former Union Square Cafe chef Brad Gates.

Britney Not Going On Tour In Latin America
Yesterday,
our local newspaper released an article about the controversy over the supposed Britney concert that was gonna be thrown out in our country, Colombia. It seems to be that it might be a fraud, even though the city being promoted was Bogota, the tickets were being sold in Cali, another city, plus, as people from the media started making a big deal outta this, the tickets stand dissapeared from the mall where the sales were being held. The mysterious brazilian business man who paid for the commercial space on tv said that he did actually have a signed contract with Britney´s record label and that the tickets being sold very cheaply (about $10 each!) was a marketing strategy to see how much would colombian fans pay for a Britney concert.

In reply to this, Britney´s representative record label in Colombia, EMI Music, stated that they didn´t have any record of Britney holding out a tour in Colombia nor in any country of Latin America, and that until now, there was "no such event in Bogota". The concert was supposed to be on January 18th.

Britney Gets a New Tattoo
WENN reported that Britney Spears has done it again - she's had a new tattoo done on her lower back. The 20-year-old superstar already has tattoos on her lower back and right foot and revealed her latest artwork at the Hollywood premiere of Kate Hudson's new movie "The Four Feathers" earlier this week. An onlooker says, "It's quite hard to see but at the base of her lower back she's had a small fairy done. "Not that anybody noticed it, they were too busy looking at what she was wearing!"

Britney On Cover of Star Magazine
At the supermarket today, I saw an interesting picture of Britney on the cover Star Magazine, they had an article about Britney new look.

NO one paid much attention to the demur blonde sitting outside a West Hollywood coffee shop.

With her hair pulled back in a sophisticated 'do, and a pair of brown-rimmed glasses, she looked like a young teacher or secretary as she sipped a frozen latte drink.

But the anonymous beauty was none other than Britney Spears!

And friends say her conservative new look is just part of the bizarre new lifestyle Britney has embarked on - bizarre for Britney that is!

As she approaches her 21st birthday Dec. 2, the pop princess is re-inventing herself and doing things her fans never would have expected her to do.

Britney's Writing Her Life Story
ITN reported that Britney Spears is writing a tell-all book, and unlike most 20-year-olds, she'll have no trouble filling the pages with tales from her rock 'n roll lifestyle on the road.

Britney says writing the book is her way of saying thank you to the fans who have supported her through her recent troubles.

In the past year, her relationship with long-time boyfriend Justin Timberlake has broken up, and her parents have separated.

Britney reportedly came close to a nervous breakdown as she struggled to cope with facing life without Justin.

She has been seeing a psychologist to help her with her troubles.

In a recent interview, the star who once said she would never have sex before marriage, admitted that she is no longer a virgin.

But Justin has reportedly said that he never had sex with the pop princess.

Justin is now seeing actress Alyssa Milano and staying well out of the limelight.

Britney Spears Not Really Doing Nothing
People.com reported that Britney Spears may claim to be in the midst of a six-month break, but she continues to add to her list of activities.
Besides presenting a birthday present to Michael Jackson at the MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 29, her 2001 HBO special, "Britney Spears Live From Las Vegas," snagged an Emmy for Outstanding Technical Direction at last weekend's creative arts ceremony.

Now, the pop princess, 20, is due to come out with a collectible book and DVD set by December.

According to her official Web site, Britney's book, tentatively titled "Stages," is filled with new photos of her with friends and family members.

It also will offer backstage and onstage peeks of her during her "Dream Within a Dream" tour. The accompanying DVD is set to document her trip to Mexico City -- where she had to cut her concert short due to bad weather and endured some bad press for flashing a finger at photographers outside an airport.

Her six-month work hiatus was announced immediately after that.

"I'm taking a break, so people are writing that I'm having a meltdown. I don't get it," Spears told PEOPLE in a cover story last month. "I need this break to rejuvenate and to just play."

She explained to the magazine that she planned to read film scripts -- she was pondering a starring role in a romantic comedy that would start shooting in October -- and write more songs.

She also acknowledged that "I don't know what I'm going to do next," but right now "I'm kind of the happiest I've been in a long freakin' time."

ABC Family Aired Longshot
On Sunday, September 15, 2002, ABC Family (also known as Fox Family) aired a movie called "Longshot". The movie contained a bunch of cameos including *NSync, Britney Spears, O-Town, LFO, Innosence, and a lot of other really cool celebrities.

Britney's cameo was with Lance Bass of *NSync. Britney played a flight attendent who served coffee to the pilots. It was either during a blooper or part of the movie but at one part in the scene, Britney smacked Lance in the back of the head.

Justin Hypnotised To Get Over Britney
News of The World reported that TV'S Paul McKenna hypnotised Justin Timberlake to help him get over his break-up with Britney Spears.

McKenna flew to New York at the request of the broken-hearted NSync singer.

They had two sessions where the celebrity hypnotist showed Justin how to cope with the split and make him feel positive about himself.

A highly placed source at the singer's US record label Jive told me: "Justin saw Paul on the Montel Williams chat show over here and really liked him. Paul asked if he could help him in any way.

"We got in touch with Paul's people in the UK and flew him out. Justin was feeling down after splitting with Britney and Paul spoke to him and made him feel positive about things. He's got a solo single called Like I Love You coming out and is a great talent but he just needed that little push.

"Paul did him the world of good and he hasn't looked back.

"Everyone needs a little help occasionally and now Justin's on top of the world. No one really knows what Paul said to him as it was a private discussion only concerning the two of them." But my source suggested McKenna—whose clients have included Robbie Williams and Geri Halliwell—had done the trick.

The insider added: "Justin's been seeing Charmed actress Alyssa Milano for a few weeks and things are going well.

"It seems he's over Britney now. He loved her very much but it just wasn't to be." The couple stunned the world when they split in March after being secretly engaged for nearly a year.

Britney Spears Pukes & Smokes At VMA After-Party
According to Popdirt.com Tricia Romano of the Village Voice reports Britney Spears puked while partying hard at the Tribeca Grand Video Music Awards after-party. A source says Spears "wasn't feeling well" and after purging, an assistant helped "put her face back on" before returning to the party. Meanwhile, in addition to drinking too much, spies say Spears was "chain-smoking" throughout the evening.

eFanGuide.com and BS.org Remembers 9/11
Even though BritneySpears.org itself is not going to be shutting down for the day, we won't have any Britney related news for the day. Today is a day to spend with family and friends.

But our host, eFanGuide.com, in remembrance to the tragedy of September 11, will be closed for 24 hours.

My thoughts about 9/11: For one, I still can't believe it happened. I will never forget what happened one year ago, but all I can do is remember the people who were lost that day and for their sake's look forward but never forget. Personally, I am going to try to go about my day as normal as I can by attending classes.

Whoever said vacation wasn't all it's hyped up to be was terribly wrong. Britney is enjoying her vacation so much! Lately, she's been spending lots of time in New York. There is much for her to do there. Dance classes, shopping and the usual business affairs have taken up most of her time. Bryan and Lauren occupy the remainder of her days. It has become a community effort to try and have Britney's new apartment ready for Christmas.

Jamie Lynn has only one week of Nickelodeon left for this year. It's been a great summer for her. She's made new friends and learned a lot. Everyone on set has become "like family." We'll be sad when we have to say our goodbyes.

Fall is just around the corner. It will be none too late, because we're ready for cooler weather. School's already begun and it's time for a new routine.

The September 11th anniversary is approaching as well. This is a time for remembrance and reflection. Britney and the entire Spears family would like the families of the victims to know that they continue to remain in our thoughts and prayers.

Scotsman reported that SHE is not only Top of the Pops, but almost certainly top of the class when it comes to selling records, starting fashion trends and setting adolescent boys’ hearts racing.

She is used to being named as a contender in "best pop singer" and "best-dressed teenager" categories but, like the rest of us, Britney Spears would be stunned to discover that her name featured alongside musical heavyweights Pavarotti and Nigel Kennedy in a list compiled by youngsters who were asked to name classical performers.

Although Bach and Mozart did strike a note of recognition with a few of those surveyed, two-thirds failed to come up with the name of any classical composer at all, which is almost as dismaying as the fact that classy, but hardly classical, Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson were mentioned as famous classical composers.

The survey, published this week in Classic FM magazine to mark the launch of its Instruments for Schools campaign, also revealed that, while 79 per cent could identify a trumpet, only a third of the six to 14-year-olds questioned recognised a cello, all of which has left lovers of classical music aghast.

'Stages' DVD And Book Set Out On 12/02
Britneyspears.com has some insider information for all of Britney’s fans. To show her appreciation for all they’ve done for her over the years, she’s putting together a collectible book and DVD set, due to come out just before her 21st birthday, which is December 2nd, 2002.

The book, tentatively titled Stages, is filled with new photographs of Britney, captured in private moments with her family and friends – a view her audience rarely gets a chance to see. It also shows Britney in performance and backstage, giving us an up-close look at how her "Dream Within a Dream" tour really got put together.

The accompanying DVD documents Britney’s trip to Mexico City and the dramatic ending to one of the most memorable concert tours of all time. It was created with the help of the famous filmmaker Albert Maysles, who has worked with the biggest bands in the business (The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, just to name a couple).

“I wanted to share with my fans all the things that they never get to see that make it all so special for me,” said Britney. “It’s my way of saying thank you.”

Britney Nominated For A 2002 MTV VMA Latin America
MTV Networks Latin America announced today the nominees for the first annual "MTV Video Music Awards Latin America." Tied with five nominations each are Colombians Juanes, Shakira and Diego Torres from Argentina, followed by Mexican Band Kinky, Chilean band La Ley and Mexican Paulina Rubio, with four nominations. In addition, it was announced
that Argentine TV and radio personality Mario Pergolini and Mexican actor Diego Luna will host and Mana, Shakira and System Of A Down will perform. The star-studded event will broadcast live from Miami Beach's Jackie Gleason
Theater on Thursday, October 24, 2002 at 9:00PM ET (8:00 PM Mexico, 9:00 PM, Chile and 10:00 PM Argentina). Additional performers and presenters to be

EU OKs Bertelsman Buying Zomba
AP reported that The European Union's head office gave its approval Monday to German media giant Bertelsmann AG $3 billion buyout of U.S.-based Zomba Music Group, the record label of Britney Spears and other top artists.

Zomba, the world's largest independent record label, is also home to 'N Sync and Backstreet Boys.

The deal will see Zomba end up under the control of Bertelsmann's music subsidiary BMG, which owns more than 200 record labels, including Arista Records, RCA Records and Ariola Music.

In a statement the European Commission said the takeover of Zomba did not violate the EU's competition rules in music distribution or publishing.

``The increase in BMG's existing market share is limited,'' the Commission said adding that Zomba had a ``relatively small'' share of the music recording and publishing industry in Europe.

It added that regulators found that the BMG-Zomba linkup would not radically alter Zomba's two main markets in Germany and Britain. Vivendi Universal and EMI Group PLC remain the market leaders in those EU countries.

Britney Sees A Shrink
The Sun Newspaper reported that BRITNEY SPEARS says she has been seeing a shrink after her split with boyfriend JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE.

The singer, who is taking six months off after coming close to a nervous breakdown, has told how she struggled to cope with facing life on her own.

She says: “Three weeks ago I was with a psychoanalyst.
He explained things about my love life that I found very impressive – almost scary.

“He said I had a problem with closeness and intimacy, that I was afraid of letting myself fall for someone and of being hurt.”

On the split, she says: “It threw me off track. He was my first love.”

Britney also admits she regrets claiming to be a virgin to maintain a wholesome image.

She says: “That was a mistake. But then who is really interested in whether I have had sex or not?

“It’s nobody’s business. I’m no different to any other 20-year-old apart from my celebrity.

“I have lost my innocence – you grow up faster in the spotlight of showbusiness.

“I have never tried to hide who I really am but until a year ago I wanted to be someone else.

“I was too nice, too sweet, everyone’s darling. That was a mistake. I experiment and I have no problem with nudity or sex.”
