Forget Paris. Newlyweds Britney Spears and Kevin Federline spent their first trip as husband and wife in her hometown of Kentwood, La., demonstrating their love ... of shopping, PEOPLE reports.
Federline, 26, checked out the local Wal-Mart and JC Penney for hunting equipment and running shoes before driving 75 miles with Spears, 22, her mother Lynne and a friend to Baton Rouge's Mall of Louisiana on Monday.
The new groom cooled his heels in the parking lot while Spears – still wearing the pink pearl wedding necklace he gave her – and her miniposse shopped at Steve Madden for fuzzy slippers and message T-shirts (proclaiming "I Am the American Dream" and "This Is What Perfect Looks Like!"), Victoria's Secret for lingerie and M.A.C for blushes and eyeliner.
Following a quick stop for soft drinks at Raising Cane's, a local fast-food franchise, Britney power walked her way through several more stores before the couple headed back home, making one more stop-at a gas station, where Britney bought a cap with the slogan "Shut Up & Do Me."
Wearing Scream masks to disguise themselves, Spears and her pals gave photographers a spook when they threw milkshakes at them after stopping at a Kentwood burger joint on Sunday.
Spears and Federline married in a surprise ceremony Sept. 18, at a private home in Studio City, Calif. The couple plan to file their wedding license within a few days of their return from Louisiana.

I know these are a little late but thanks to Lime-Light we have 20 pictures of Britney in Kentwood from yesterday wearing what America is made of. Britney wears a pink t-shirt with "I am the American Dream" bordered on it. Britney, Kevin, and their dog went to a local burger restaurant, Nyla's, then visiting a jewelry store.
Now whoever said that Britney was "trailer trash" better take a look at the new Britney. Looks like things might finally be in Britney's perspective, something many fans thought she didn't have before. She finally knows what she wants. Enjoy! |

Are you pregnant now? Britney: No, not that I know of. I have a couple of things I want to take care of this year before I have my baby. I would love to have a kid right now but there are a couple of things I need to take care of this year before I do that.
What do you want to do? Britney: You'll see. If you wouldn't mind making a note to read the column on my website this week because I wrote a letter to all my fans that I think they need to read. We are going to put it on the website. It's called 'The Letter Of Truth: I Hope You Can Handle It'. It is the most amazing letter I have ever written. It was a life changing letter for me and I just want my fans to read it.
When did you write the letter? Kevin: Everyday for the last week and a half Britney: I feel like I am at Harvard!
Will the website continue? Britney: Yes, and instead of my mom doing it weekly, I will do it weekly. It really states where I am at in my life right now. It is making closure with a lot of things and I think this is my ultimate truth. I owe it to my fans, they need to read it. It will explain any questions they have ever had, it will explain everything. I was hesitant at first. I saw a play in NY called 'Wicked' - it really inspired me to write it. It was the most amazing play. It was life changing for me.
How is this life stage different? Britney:I feel like it's a beginning. I feel like we are all here to find our ultimate truth. And as humans, that is all we should want to do and try to get closer to that every day. I think that fear and not believing in yourself as a kid is the worst thing you can do. That is why spending so much time with his little girl [Kori] has made me look at life differently and look at motherhood a lot and the way I want to raise my kids. I love kids.
Are you going to give up performing? Britney:I could never do that because I love what I do so much. I would like to be based in one place and get the business side of things in order before I have a kid. Things will be on my terms with everything. I have been touring since I was 16 – it is so hard to keep going and going. It is great that this has happened because it has made me realise that things need to change. It made me realise that I am growing up, becoming a woman and things just need to be different. Bottom line – I want to be a young mom. I know what I want. I love kids so much. I feel sorry for men sometimes because we get to experience something growing inside of us. Then it comes out. We give life. What a miracle! The most beautiful thing in life is to create. I can see us as parents. I can see myself as a mom. Next year at 23, I am so there. |

Kevin Needed Loan To Buy Ring |

MSNBC reported that Britney Spears’ new hubby had to go into debt for his bride.
Kevin Federline reportedly had to take out a loan to buy his multi-millionaire wife’s wedding ring. It’s a platinum band with no diamonds; the ring Spears gave to Federline, however, is platinum with diamonds.
Britney allegedly made the revelation to defend Federline — her former backup singer who has two children by another woman he didn’t marry — against charges that he’s a gold-digger or freeloader.
I am very annoyed with some reports speculating such [garbage] that I had to pay for the wedding myself and that I even had to buy my own ring,” the World Entertainment News Networks quotes Spears as saying. “It’s simply so not true. Kevin took out a loan to contribute towards the wedding and so he could buy me my band. He insisted. It’s so hurtful when this kind of thing comes out. Kevin pays his own way and I wouldn’t have it any other way.” |

Britney Spears Caught Using Hypnotic Selling in TV Ad |

Pop-singer Britney Spears may be using forbidden "Hypnotic Selling" methods in her TV commercial promoting her new fragrance, "Curious", claims marketing expert Dr. Joe Vitale.
"Her ad plays on sexuality, mystery, and curiosity," explains Vitale, President of Hypnotic Marketing, Inc., in Austin, Texas, and a a specialist on hypnotic persuasion methods. He adds, "Even the name of her product invokes the most powerful motivator of all: Curiosity."
Spears announced her new product at Macy's in New York City on September 14th. She's being paid an estimated $12 million to promote the Elizabeth Arden product.
"Unless her perfume truly stinks, people are going to buy it almost mindlessly," say Vitale, who is giving a webcast on October 5th to alert people to how hypnotic persuasion methods work.
Vitale says the TV commercial featuring Spears begins with images that seem to be a soap opera, but then quickly become a forbidden intimacy fantasy come to life. The ad almost dares you to buy the perfume, he adds.
"People begin watching the commerical because they are attracted to the unknown," explains Vitale. "They're not sure who the cute woman is, or what she is doing. Their minds are being drawn in. Then, when they learn that it is for a new perfume, the name of it gets lodged in the brain, almost without your thinking about it. This is truly hypnotic."
Hypnosis has been used for pain management for more than a hundred years, and was accepted by the American Medical Association back in the 1950s. But using hypnotic technigues in selling is new.
"Anything that can get a message into your mind will be tried by advertisers," says Vitale, who uses what he calls Ethical Hypnosis in selling.
"When is it manipulation and when is it persuasion is the real question," asks Vitale, a certified hypnotherapist as well as author of such books as "Hypnotic Writing." |

Report: Madonna Offers Britney a Honeymoon |

Britney Spears and new husband Kevin Federline, who spent last weekend in her hometown of Kentwood, La., are due to visit England as part of their ongoing honeymoon, reports Britain's Sky News.
And it would be no mere luxury hotel for the couple: They reportedly have been invited by British resident Madonna to spend time at her expansive country estate in rural Wiltshire.
Sky News says Madonna, who follows the spiritual teachings of the Kabbalah, sent the happy couple an ancient text as an engagement present, and Britney, who also studies Kabbalah, has kept it with her ever since. Madonna, 46, and Britney bonded at last year's MTV Video Music Awards when they shared a famous lip-lock.
As for the weekend in Louisiana, New York's Daily News reports that Spears matriarch Lynne drove Britney, 13-year-old sister Jamie Lynn and two pals to a local restaurant, where they put on Scream masks and started a food fight. Their ammunition of milkshakes and food was aimed at paparazzi.
"She was rehearsing for Halloween," Britney's spokeswoman Leslie Sloan tells the News. "Now the whole world knows what she's going to be (for Halloween), so the paparazzi will know who to follow around."
While the Scream-ers tossed their grub, new groom Federline reportedly was shopping at Wal-Mart.
Spears, 22, and Federline, 26, said "I do" in a surprise ceremony Sept. 18, in a private home in Studio City, Calif., PEOPLE reports in its current cover story.
Some 20 friends and family members were present at what was billed as an engagement party but turned into a wedding.

BRITNEY SPEARS and new hubby KEVIN FEDERLINE are to honeymoon in Britain at the invitation of MADONNA.
The Queen of Pop called Brit to congratulate her on her marriage — then offered to put up the pair in her sprawling country estate in Wiltshire.
And she promised to teach them English country pursuits — in return for all the wedding gossip.
Madonna and hubby GUY RITCHIE suggested the break at their £9million Ashcombe Estate so the trashy tracksuit-wearing couple can escape prying eyes in America.
Britney was only too happy to say yes to the woman she regards as her biggest pop influence.
A source said: “Madonna always keeps an eye out for Britney.
“She has taken a keen interest in her career. She and Guy decided it would be a better idea to have them for a holiday than send them a gift.
“Britney was so flattered. She looks up to Madonna and has always claimed she is one of her biggest influences.
“Spending some time at Madonna’s house in England was the ultimate wedding present — it’s not an audience many stars are granted.”
Dancer Kevin must be pinching himself. One minute he’s lurking around the mall and the next he’s dining with showbiz royalty.
But the pot-bellied fast food fanatic will have to brush up on his eating etiquette.
Madonna’s pad is very traditional and the newlyweds can expect a formal dinner in the huge Victorian dining room. Not quite KFC.
Kev might also want to get himself some tweeds in case Guy takes him out for a spot of ferreting or grouse-shooting in the grounds of the 1,132-acre estate.
The pop stars have a special relationship. Madge sent Brit an expensive Kabbalah text as an engagement gift and the younger singer has kept it with her ever since. |

Danielle Monaro of Z100 has your latest sleaze and it has to do with Britney.
"Do you want to know what is in Britney and Kevin’s pre-nuptial agreement? If Britney Spears and Kevin Federline ever split, Kevin will receive $300,000 a year for every two years they stay married. In other words, if they last 10 years together, Kevin will receive five annual payments of $300,000. Also, Britney will have no legal obligation to Kevin’s two children by a previous relationship, and any gift valued at $10,000 or more will require a legal document stating who will own it if Britney and Kevin get divorced." |

Now that Britney is married, tabloid rumors of Britney being pregnate are going to run rampid on the Internet and magazines. Just remember one thing, look at the source of where that news is coming from. If she is or isn't, I rather let Britney tell us. I know "The Mail" and other bogus "news organizations" have already been spreading the rumors quoting sources from "source close to the family" or "source close to Britney/friend" but don't believe it. |

Britney Spears may need cue cards to learn the names of the dozen-plus in-laws she inherited when she married into Kevin Federline’s "Brady Bunch"-style clan. But she won't have trouble picking them out of a crowd if their fun-loving behavior at her pre-wedding party last week is any guide.
Meet the Federlines, the Presleys and the Bleaks, Kevin Federline's "blended" family that includes two sets of parents, six siblings (one full brother, a stepbrother and stepsister and three half-brothers) as well as three siblings' spouses, two nieces and a nephew.
"It's one of those really blended families," said a source familiar with the Federline gang.
"In Kevin's family, there are divorces, remarriages and lots of kids - and now grandkids. It's quite a brood," said the source.
Kevin's dad, Mike Federline, 49, an auto mechanic, and his mom, Julie Lynn, 44, who worked in a bank, divorced in the 1980s when Kevin and his younger brother, Chris, 24, were kids. At the time, the family lived in Fresno, Calif.
A few years later, Dad married his current wife Collette, 47, who brought with her two kids from her first marriage, Dustin Presley, now 29, and Nicole Presley, 27.
Later on, Kevin's mom, Julie, married Coby Bleak, 44. Julie, of Pendleton, Ore., had three more sons, giving Kevin and Chris three half-brothers, the source said.
Told that some media folks have snobbily referred to Federline's working-class family as "trailer trash," the family source laughed.
"Maybe by Hollywood standards. They are not rich, they are middle class. I thought trailer trash was people who were down and out and lived in trailers. They don't," the source said.
Kevin's first love, Felicia Cabiero, 26, who dated him between the ages of 13 and 16, remembers his family as "really nice people" with a spotless home.
"We were constantly together at family outings. I even met his mom, Julie, once when she visited. She was a blast. Really nice, fun," Cabiero said.
And it was Kevin's style that her father approved of when the teens from Tenaya Middle School began dating.
Cabiero said she could not tell her parents she and Kevin were a "couple" because her strict Filipino dad didn't approve of young girls dating.
But at a party for her eighth-grade graduation, Cabiero's dad caught Kevin kissing her in the hot tub.
"I was so scared. I thought my dad was gonna kill me, but the next day, my dad sat me down and said, 'I saw the way he kissed you - like a gentleman. So I'll allow you to date him.'"
By the time she was 15, Cabiero says, she and Federline moved beyond kissing.
"We were first loves. We were the first for each other. He was very passionate and sensual," she says.
They broke up when Federline's family moved to a new town and a new high school, but instead of a diploma, the only pieces of paper he earned that year were traffic citations, records show.
The high school dropout worked at a car wash and as a pizza-delivery driver in Fresno until he moved to L.A. and landed work as a backup hoofer for boy band LFO and Britney's ex, Justin Timberlake.
Britney, whose parents Lynn, 49, and James, 52, are also divorced, seems comfortable in the fragmented-but-friendly Federline clan. She's already talking about expanding the clan with a baby next year.
Maybe she's trying to keep pace with Federline. Her new husband already has two out-of-wedlock kids with ex-girlfriend "Moesha" star Shar Jackson.

I was hoping she would come to her sinces and not marry a loser that walked out on his 2 year old daughter and soon to be born son. why couldn't she toke the advise that justin and a few others like his ex's gave her. soon when she is left holding a baby on her hip like shar was she'll start making better judgement on her life and the men she pick. i really like britney and everthing but kevin i'm sorry but a loser is a loser. i guess instead of kevin paying his child support britney will. what i guess i'm saying is brit please stop and think before you make a bigger mistake like sign your marriage papers. i'll be praying for you. --Kennedysmn
Hi Britney my name is Ingrid.I really like you.I think you are so cool.I hope you and Kevin are going to be the best couple. One more thing do'nt lisen to what other people say about you the just want to hurt your feelings. My favorite son that you sing is Everytime. --Your Big Fan, Ingrid
I would like to start off by saying, "Congratulations BRITNEY and KEVIN". Because that is what they desearve. I would like to just once go online, and not read about how "us" fans are so upset with her choices in life. They are her CHOICES, and We are FANS!, so we should stand beside Britney for whatever! She is so like so many of us. I am a 22 year old gay boi, who relates to so much that Britney does. SHE IS HUMAN! Hey, I smoke. I know its not right, but It's my life. IT does not change me as a person. I heard that her man smoked pot, WHO CARES? Who honestly does not know someone or even themselves, who have done it. ITS A PART OF LIFE! I know I am a true fan of Brit, because no matter what I NEVER LET anyone get in the way of my interest in Britney. SHe could do whatever she wants, and I would still respect her, because thats what you do when you care for someone. I will always stand beside Britney! Everyone thinking negative thoughts about Britney's dessiccions, just please, LAY OFF. Its not your life, its her's, LET HER LIVE IT! Thanks! --Patrick
I think its great! All of these so called fans are all giving their opioins on what they think she should of done and or she has "lost" touch. ALL OF IT IS SO STUPID! Can we all just give Britney a BREAK, and LET her LIVE already! GEEZ!!! She entertains us, she produces great music, she has us smelling good (CURIOUS, BEAUTIFUL scent), She JUST wants to LIVE! If any one of us are REAL GENUINE fans, WE WOULD LET BRITNEY JUST live her own life, and anticipate when she comes back. UNTIL then, WHO CARES if she SMOKES cigarettes, pot, Whatever! WHO CARES if she is Barefoot! Who cares if she is making bad choices. GUYS, ITS HER PREROGATIVE! LET HER LIVE HER life! THank you! --Linda
Although I wasn’t too happy with her choice to become engage to Kevin so soon, I respected it. Now I feel that she has really found herself a slice of happiness after all these years of living by everyone else’s standards. I’m proud of her for being a real person. I think its time we give the newlyweds some space and let them enjoy themselves. Even if this doesn’t last forever lets allow her to be happy, its is her life. And to all those haters… I suggest not being negative, it’s a waste of your time, just be happy for her. =) --Marty
I think Britney's wedding was in fact fake. She kept saying how she wants her wedding to be a fairytale, then I think this was a fake wedding so that all the paparazzis would get what they wanted and on her "REAL' wedding, they WOULDN'T be there, they wouldn't expect it, so I think she just wanted to get everyone off her back so she faked her own wedding. Plus, now that Justin and Cameron are on the rocks? Could there possibly be a reconciliation? --Helen Sssssssssssssssss
As a Britney fan I often wonder how she does it. I am 22 years old and was born 15 days after Britney. From the first time I heard her single, Baby one more time, I have been a devoted fan. I have watched her grow and develop as both and artist and a person while doing this in front of the world. She was 16 years old when she was thrust into the public eye as one of the most famous pop icons of all time. Her every move and action meticulously picked apart by the press, her every action, comment, decision being commented on and judged by millions. Making the transition into adulthood can be difficult. Your in a stage of your life where your discovering who you are, making a place in the world for yourself and learning through trial and error. Through your mistakes you learn and grow, building your character and identity along the way. Everyone goes through it, but not in front of millions of people. To anyone who casts judgement on Britney think back to this period of time in your own life. Take every bad decision and mistake you made and imagine it being front page news. Think you could handle it? As fans in America we build up celebrities, putting them on a pedestal making them untouchable only to kick the legs out from under it laughing as they fall. Britney Spears is not a goddess or princess, she a human being. She deserves to be happy and live her life the way she chooses on her terms, not her fans. She is an entertainer, that's her job, when the shows over what she does is her business not the worlds. Britney Spears is here to stay, she will continue to entertain and be an inspiration to millions. The fact that she doesn't care what the world thinks only makes me like her more. Afterall, Its her Perogotive. --Eric Heeder
I for one am so glad that they decided to do the private ceremony. I think it made it a lot more special to have just her close friends and family there, and the fact that the media didn't catch on in time is wonderful. From what I have seen and heard, the wedding was beautiful, and the ceremony was perfect. I couldn't be happier for her. --Crika
i think that it was reallly kool how she tricked everyone so she could have a private wedding. You got do what you gotta do! I hope her wedding went well and she is happy! I heard she went to an after party at a club and like Kirsten Dunst and Lindsey Lohan were there! It was kool how she had everyone put on those siuts that said like pimp on it! I was wondering if they had a Kabbalah wedding! Well i think they are a cute couple! I hope they last a long time!!!!! -- Melissa
I personally say Good Luck to the gal! She deserves a bit of happiness and i LOVE the new song, what a great video! --Rob from England
Personally, i am a HUGE fan of britney, in fact, i might just be her biggest fan, i have gone to all her concerts and seen all of her specials on tv! In my eyes, she can do no wrong. I am 14, and she is my ultimate role model, i want to be every thing she is. She is beautiful and succesful, and who ever she wants to marry an dbe with is her buisness. I have heard many people say that it is a mistake for britney to mary kevin becaus he isnt as wealthy, but love has no price tag, and to her , i am sure that his bank account doesnt matter at all! All i want to say is that, britney you are awsome, and all you brit fans you are awsome too! Keep it up Britney, we all love you! By the way, your new "My Proreogative" song is so awsome, and i have heard clips of "guilty" and i cant wait to hear it all! I love you music! --Kendra
I am personally very happy for Britney and I think that any fan of hers should be. Everyone keeps talking about her "Vegas Wedding" and how they wonder if this one will last. Who cares!! Its really none of our business anyway. She is a singer. So lets love her for the music and shows that she gives us and only pay attention to the info that she personally gives out about her life. I love Britney and I try to respect her as a person. So lets just be happy for her. Also, keep voting for "My Prerogative" on TRL. It has been #1 two days in a row!!! Rock on Britney!!!!! Luv ya!!! --Chip |

Britney and Kevin Agreement On "Faux" Wedding |

The Smoking Gun reported that Britney and Kevin signed an agreement regarding the September 18th wedding ceremony that called it "Faux" Wedding.
Here is what TSG said regarding the agreement: We've all been there before: You're itching to get hitched, but negotiations with your beloved over the prenuptial agreement have snagged. But since you really, really want to get married, you bring in the lawyers to write up a legal agreement regarding your planned "faux" marriage and "alleged" wedding ceremony. That's the predicament lovebirds Britney Spears and Kevin Federline faced earlier this month as they planned their glorious union. With no prenup in place, the couple signed the below agreement--first obtained this week by Us Weekly--regarding their September 18 "wedding," agreeing that their blessed union would not be legally valid until the pair later finalized details of Federline's dowry. Nothing, of course, screams romance more than a notary public. Spears and Federline apparently fast-tracked the so-called nuptials after word leaked that they planned an October 16 ceremony.
Be sure to read the entire agreement which is available to read on The Smoking Gun web site. |

Because of a legal technicality, Britney Spears and Kevin Federline won't officially be married until the minister who officiated at their ceremony last Saturday signs their marriage license, which should happen any day now.
Nevertheless, a surprise wedding with all the time-honored traditions did take place in Studio City, Calif., and Spears and Federline talked afterward to People magazine.
"I was like, 'What are we waiting for? We know this is the real thing; why not just do it now?' " Spears told People in an exclusive interview with the couple 40 hours after the ceremony.
Wedding photos show Spears, with her blond mane dyed brown, in her traditional gown and veil to trade vows with Federline. But the bride also donned a second wedding dress — an ultra-mini skirt, garter belt and stiletto heels — for the post-ceremony celebrations. (One of Federline's brothers caught the garter.)
Spears, 22, and Federline, 26, dish about shedding tears during the ceremony and their plans to have a baby next year. They hint that Spears might even change her name.
"Britney Federline," she says. "I like that."
The couple say they decided three weeks ago to scrap plans for an Oct. 16 wedding because of the media attention and started planning last weekend's intimate ceremony for 27 family members and friends. The guests, who thought they were attending an engagement party (even Spears' mother and father were in the dark), were handed new invitations that read, "Surprise! It is with much love that we welcome you to our wedding ceremony tonight."
Missing from the festivities: Federline's daughter Kori, 2, who was originally set to be a flower girl. Federline also has a 2-month-old son, Kaleb, with actress Shar Jackson.
Spears tells People that she wants to "be a young mom," a sentiment she shared publicly when the couple became engaged in June.
Asked by People whether she was already pregnant, Spears pauses, looks intently at Federline, and answers, "No, not that I know of." But "next year," she says, when she's 23? "I am so there."
The couple aren't revealing their honeymoon plans, but they are planning a late-fall gathering for friends who missed Saturday's wedding.

Britney Spears has laughed off reports her marriage to dancer Kevin Federline on the weekend was a publicity stunt.
After news of the wedding broke on the weekend, news reports have circulated the world suggesting the wedding was a sham but the Britney marriage has been confirmed at her website.
"Congratulations to Britney and Kevin on their marriage" the statement reads. "The couple held a small, private ceremony in California on the evening of Saturday, September 18th".
The couple will make photos from the wedding public in People magazine this week.

Britney Spears is upset that some people are saying she's not really married. Spears told People magazine that it's not fair that "somebody someplace decides to write a false headline about a special day that I've dreamed about since I was a little girl."
US Weekly claims to have an agreement signed by Spears and Kevin Federline admitting the wedding was a fake.
Federline said that's "bull." Meanwhile, he told People that their wedding night was "great -- all night." |

BRITNEY SPEARS and KEVIN FEDERLINE have jetted to her home town of Kentwood, Louisiana, for their honeymoon.
The couple wed on Saturday night and spent the next few days holed up in LA’s Bel Air Hotel before taking a private jet back to the south.
I can also reveal the singer did NOT marry in white. Designer Monique L’Huillier, who made her £15,000 gown, says it was a light coffee colour and her bridesmaids wore burgundy.
She says: “Britney wore a creamy latte colour. She wanted the gown simple and elegant.”
The Sun told yesterday how the marriage is not yet legal under Californian law. |

Is Britney Spears married or isn't she?
Did the world's most famous pop star try to avoid annoying paparazzi by staging "secret" nuptials last weekend -- a month ahead of her scheduled dream day in October? Or did she take the media for a ride by staging a fake wedding and selling the pictures in an elaborate hoax?
These were the questions swirling about on Wednesday as People Magazine published "exclusive" wedding photographs and rival Us Weekly claimed it had a document proving the whole thing was a fake.
Spears' New York publicist Leslie Sloane said Spears and Kevin Federline "are married. It is not a fake anything." But Spears admits no wedding license has been filed with authorities.
People Magazine released exclusive pictures of Saturday's wedding at a private house in Los Angeles along with interviews in which Spears, 22, and Federline, 26, gushed about an emotional evening so secret that even the bride's mother was kept in the dark until a few hours beforehand.
"We were being stalked every day, everywhere we went. It made our lives and our families miserable. So the only way we could really avoid all that is to push up the (Oct. 16) wedding date and do it immediately." Federline told People.
But rival Us Weekly claimed it had a legal document signed by Spears and Federline four days before the event proving it was a fake.
The four-page document, which Us Weekly said had been authenticated, said Spears and Federline agreed "to participate in a 'faux' wedding with one another on Sept. 18 ... however they do not intend to and shall not validly marry one another on said date."
Us claimed that arguments over a prenuptial agreement meant that Spears and Federline could not go ahead with a wedding last Saturday.
Us also noted there was the neat timing of Spears' video for her latest single "My Prerogative," which depicts the blond singer and Federline on their wedding day.
"She came up with the concept of the video and it was released (Sept. 16) to go with her wedding. She's all about art imitating life," Us quoted one unidentified source as saying.
People dismissed suggestions it and Britain's OK! magazine paid a reported $2 million for the pictures in a hoax cooked up by Spears to throw the media off the scent of a big wedding bash in the near future.
"No. What's more likely is that a magazine that didn't get the wedding is now crying sour grapes," said People executive editor Larry Hackett.
One thing is clear; Spears and Federline have not yet filed a marriage license as they are required to do within 90 days under California law. They told People they had been legally advised to wait for a grace period after finalizing the prenuptial agreement.
"I know we're not completely legal until we file the license, which we'll do next week. But in a real sense, a spiritual sense, we're married. We're just following our lawyer's advice," Spears told People.
"I believe you marry in your heart and that means much more than a piece of paper," she said.
It was not the first time Spears has confused the media. In January, she wed a former high school sweetheart in Las Vegas and had the marriage annulled three days later.

Some 40 hours after their top secret Sept. 18 ceremony in Studio City, Calif., newlyweds Britney Spears and Kevin Federline are acting like, well, blissed-out newlyweds: Gazing into each other's eyes. Locking bare toes. Exchanging "Oh babys" and "I love yous." So it's safe to say they're feeling pretty good? "Awesome. Elated," says Spears, lounging with her new husband near the hot tub in the presidential suite of the Hotel Bel-Air. Tying the knot "couldn't have been better," says Federline. Adds Spears: "I'm just kind of happy that we pulled off the whole thing."
This was not the way it was supposed to happen – as anyone who received one of 100 invitations to the couple's Oct. 16 wedding can vouch. But three weeks ago, amid growing paparazzi attention and mounting stress, Spears, 22, and Federline, 26, scrapped their original plans for a lavish to-do at Santa Barbara's Bacara resort in favor of a ceremony for just 27 friends and relatives – all of whom were kept in the dark until minutes before the ceremony. (Moving up the date prevented the couple from filing their marriage license prior to the wedding.) "I just thought it would be too much if we had done it when we were supposed to," says Spears. "It became this huge thing and I was like, 'What are we waiting for? We know this is the real thing, why not just do it now?' That's why I wanted to sneak and do it our little way."
They did it their way, indeed – complete with a rose-scented ceremony, during which both the bride and groom cried, followed by a night of clubbing. The entire event "was all about them, which is exactly the way it should have been," says Spears's longtime assistant Felicia Culotta, who helped plan the wedding and served as a bridesmaid. "It was about Britney and Kevin and that's it." Adds Spears: "It was perfect."
It was also a 10-hanky affair, with the groom proving especially emotional throughout the evening. At the reception, "we were dancing and I remember her dad sitting in the doorway," says Federline, tearing up at the memory. "The way he was looking at me, he was just letting me know that everything was okay. I was worried, because you want your wife's father to be okay with you. But when I saw him, it was great."
So ecstatic are the pair that they are already discussing starting a family. "I want to be a young mom," says Spears. Asked whether she is pregnant now, she pauses for a long moment and looks intently into Federline's eyes. "No, not that I know of." But "I can see us as parents," she adds. "I can see myself as a mom. Next year at 23, I am so there."
In the meantime, the couple are content to relive the memories of their wedding weekend, which kicked off Friday night with a bachelorette bash at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel. (Federline and the fellas opted for dinner at nearby Houston's restaurant.) The next day, the guys hit the links while Spears and her group dodged paparazzi during a trip to the Burke Williams spa. On the ride from the spa to the wedding locale – a private home in Studio City – Spears got a call from her soon-to-be-husband. "She said, 'I'm not supposed to talk to him before the wedding!' And we said, 'No, you're not supposed to see him,' " recalls Culotta. "She just died laughing. She said, 'I didn't want to jinx it!' Then they had one last conversation, and she was saying, 'No, don't cry; if you cry, I'm going to cry.' "
With even Spears's mom, Lynne, and the bridal party kept out of the loop, the impending wedding tested the bride's ability to stay mum – a challenge, considering she struggles just to keep her family's Christmas presents a surprise every year. When the word was finally out, "That was one of the first things she said to me: 'Mama, I kept a secret!' " recalls Lynne.
In fact, friends and relatives had flown in for what they were told was an engagement party. Upon arriving at the private home, they were handed invites that read "Surprise! It is with much love that we welcome you to our wedding ceremony tonight." The message didn't quite sink in with Spears's dad, Jamie. "My dad said, 'Why is everyone congratulating Kevin?' " recalls Spears's brother Bryan. "I said, 'Daddy, did you read the invitation?' He said yup. I said, 'You might want to read it again.' " Adds Lynne: "He went into shock. 'Oh my God,' he said,'I don't have my tuxedo!' "
No problem: The couple had arranged for everyone's tuxes and gowns – which had been fitted earlier in anticipation of the October wedding – to be secretly delivered to the house. Upstairs the bridal party were readying themselves when Lynne walked in. "Britney was just smiling, waiting for my reaction," says Lynne. She said, 'Well, Mama, is it okay?' And I said, 'Of course, this is probably the smartest thing ever.' "
The couple's friends were stunned as well. "Their hands were shaking and they were crying," Spears says of her girlfriends. Recalls Federline: "[My friends] had no idea. Even the guy that was taking pictures said, 'You just got Punk'd!' And they still didn't get it! Finally I had to spell it out for them. When they did get it, they just lost it."
As for the newly brunette bride – she returned to her natural brown locks two days prior to the wedding because "there are so many blondes out there right now, I wanted to be a little different" – some of her behavior that day might have been a tip-off. "Britney was acting really weird Saturday – she was really nervous," recalls maid of honor Laura Lynne Covington. "I was like, 'Why are you so fidgety today?' And she was like, 'I don't know, I don't know.' " Just before the ceremony, "She was like, 'Are people supposed to cry on their wedding day? Even when they're saying their vows? Is it okay if I cry?' " says Covington. "When she put the veil on, it just all came together. She turned the corner and everyone just said, 'Awww.' " Says Lynne: "She looked so absolutely beautiful. She looked like an angel."
Unlike Spears's quickie Vegas wedding to childhood pal Jason Alexander in January – the marriage was annulled after 55 hours – the bride made sure her family and close friends were in attendance. Still, not everything went exactly as planned: Spears's sister Jamie Lynn, 13, burst into tears thinking that she had been the only one kept in the dark. But "when I hugged her and she put her dress on, she started feeling really good," says Spears. And Federline's 2-year-old daughter Kori (with ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson, 28, with whom he also has a 3-month-old son, Kaleb) was slated to serve as flower girl but ended up missing the wedding altogether. "[Shar, Kori and Kaleb] were doing the whole Disneyland thing, and I couldn't say, 'Look, [the kids] need to be here because I am getting married,'" says Federline. "So I just left things as they were."
During the emotional 15-minute ceremony, Britney and Kevin "just gazed into each other's eyes, and he kept touching her face," says Culotta. "As she was standing there, tears were falling. When her daddy lifted up her veil and kissed her on the cheek and shook hands with Kevin, it was so sweet. That started all the tears." Adds Lynne: "At the point when the ceremony said that your spouse is the one that makes you a better person, I just cried because I think it sort of hit me that she is a woman now. It hurts when they grow up."
Among the other ceremony highlights: When Covington handed the groom's platinum wedding band to Spears, "She dropped it and I was like, 'Oh no!' " recalls Covington. "The preacher was like, 'It's okay. It's a good sign!' " At one point during Federline's vows, "he said, 'I'm so proud to be your husband,' and everyone just smiled," says Covington. And when the couple shared their first married kiss, "I just wanted to holler, 'Get a room!' " jokes Culotta. "It was such a big kiss. It was like that was the second they were waiting for."
With the wedding behind them, Spears and Federline – who are keeping their honeymoon plans under wraps – are now looking ahead to what's next, beginning with a late fall bash for friends who missed the actual nuptials ("We filmed the wedding so they can resee it at the party," says Spears). "It is great that this [wedding] has happened, because it has made me realize that I am growing up, becoming a woman, and things just need to be different," Spears says. "I feel like it's a beginning." With that in mind, the bride is also pondering a name change: "Britney Federline," she says, "I like that."
Days after Spears and Federline were pronounced husband and wife, a report surfaced that they aren't legally wed because they hadn't filed a marriage license. According to Spears and Federline, they have gone by the California book: Prior to getting married, they secured a license, which they have 90 days to file. But, says Federline, "we'll file our license next week." His explanation? "Everybody knows our wedding date was set on Oct. 16," he says. "But then

Britney Has Not File For Marriage License Yet |

CNN had an interesting story: if Britney really got married?
Britney Spears most definitely got married last week, People magazine reports in its October 4 issue filled with pictures of the pop star and her fiance, Kevin Federline, in wedding apparel and surrounded by family and friends.
What the couple didn't do, according to the Los Angeles County registrar's office, is file a marriage license after the ceremony.
No big deal, says a member of the singer's camp who declined to be quoted by name. "They're scheduled to file it next week," she told The Associated Press Wednesday. Spears told People magazine essentially the same thing.
"I know we're not completely legal until we file the license, which we'll do next week," the 22-year-old pop star said. "But in a real sense, a spiritual sense, we're married."
Federline, 26, said the delay was caused when the couple moved their wedding date up to September 18 as word leaked out that they were planning to be married on October 16. Moving the date up a month, he said, didn't give their lawyers time to finish their prenuptial agreement. "It's done (now)," he said. The couple said their lawyers told them that they have 90 days to file the license.
In January, Spears married childhood friend Jason Alexander in a surprise wedding in Las Vegas. That marriage was annulled 55 hours later.
Spears and Federline held a small wedding at a Studio City home, keeping even the singer's parents and siblings in the dark until hours before the ceremony. Federline said his 2-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, who was to be the wedding's flower girl, missed the event because he feared if he canceled her previously planned trip to Disneyland that day the reason would leak out. |

Exclusive Interview With Eric Winter |

Eric Winter...? Well he is the questionable man in Britney's new perfume commercial, "Curiuos." Did they do it, or didnt they? Curious huh. Well Allison from Soap City sat down with Eric and we have the transcript from Eric's interview dealing with Britney.
Days_Allison:: I understand that you just shot a commercial for Britney Spears' new fragrance?
Eric_Winter: It's called Curious. It's her first perfume. I think she signed a five-year deal to do a few fragrances. This is her first one of all of them. It's just the two of us in the commercial and there are a couple of other quick cuts, quick shots, but the premise of the spot is she and I wondering if something had happened a night in a hotel.
Days_Allison:: Like "what if" something had happened?
Eric_Winter: Curious to see if it happened. Did we or didn't we? What did or did not transpire that night. It's really a sexy commercial. It's hot. It was shot well. Dave Myers was the director. He's done a lot of big music videos. He's a big director for what he does right now. It was edited fantastically. It was done by one of the guys who did Natural Born Killers and all these Oliver Stone movies. He's a fantastic editor. It's a very sharp spot.
Days_Allison:: Are you also going to be doing the print ads for this?
Eric_Winter: The print was shot back in June. They used another guy out of Milan. He's very much in the background. Print wasn't really as big of a push as the commercial campaign. They'd been trying to cast the commercial since June. I just got lucky and fortunate. It rolled my way.
Days_Allison:: What was the casting process like?
Eric_Winter: I auditioned for it once and went back for a call back and found out I booked it the week after. They were trying to do it between her tour, since she took time off for her injury. I just happened to not be working here for the two days that they were shooting. It just all worked out. The launch of it was Sept. 16 in Times Square. I think they're running it ten minutes every hour for a month on a seven story Digitron in Times Square. I really want to see it!
Days_Allison:: Was this just a one off thing, or will there be more commercials?
Eric_Winter: Generally with fragrances, if they get a commercial that works, they stick with it. That's fine with me. The longevity of the commercial is better for me in the long run. Hopefully they never re-shoot this commercial, unless it's with me. You just never know. I know she has other fragrances to come. They'll probably focus on those as they come out.
Days_Allison:: And how was working with Britney?
Eric_Winter: It was cool. I'd actually had the chance to meet her in the past because Matt Cedeno's ex-girlfriend was a dancer for her. She was very sweet then. She's just a really great person to work with. She's fun. Unfortunately, we didn't get to work as much together as I would have thought because the whole commercial is based on this "what if" premise. We were only in maybe two scenes together during the whole two-day shoot. But she was on set with me the entire time and vice versa. It was a pleasure to work with her. The whole atmosphere was great; the ad agency was fantastic. It was one of the best jobs I've ever done. It was really fun.
Days_Allison:: Did she have anything to do with choosing you for the spot?
Eric_Winter: It's funny. I found out that they couldn't get hold of her when it came down to it. Elizabeth Arden's people and the ad agency people picked the final three that they wanted and sent that tape to Britney's camp. But they couldn't get hold of Britney. I also know her executive assistant, through Matt, but she didn't get to see it either. That would've been cool because she knows me and she watches Days. She's a big fan of the show and I might've had a better chance. It just turned out that Britney's brother and one of her managers ended up casting me. It just worked out. They selected me out of the three. And I'm really happy they did!

I was surprised she decided to make it so unexpected (AGAIN), and informal. I was so excited to see her in a gorgeous gown, with beautiful flowers, in a glamorous location but.. Oh well! As long as she's happy, and brunette ;-). --Ben
I wasn't shocked. It was bound to happen anytime soon. However, I was expecting to see her with nice curls, a veil, a poofy dress, nice flowers, etc. Guess not She deserved a better wedding than this, but guess what, it's her prerogative Best of luck to them! --slippingunder
This doesn't feel like some special event that all of us were expecting. It just feels like another shotgun wedding, not that much better than the Vegas fiasco. I was hoping for a wonderful Hollywood wedding, and I'm really sad there won't be one. I feel sorry for Britney's family, as well. A wedding day and the time leading up to it should be something special, and from the impressions I'm getting in interviews, it doesn't feel like it was special, escpecially for Lynne. How would you not like to know about your daughter getting married and then finding out she is right before it actually takes place? Like I said, I'm just disappointed. --Sometimes A Girl Just Needs Me
Well, frankly, I wasn't expecting this wedding to be anything less than what it had turned out to be. After all, look at her husband. But, I do agree with you that this is absolutely no different from her "first" trip down the aisle nearly nine 'n' half months ago. This was another rash decision and further proves that Britney just hasn't learned from her past "mistake." Hell even their engagement, according to that People interview, came out of nowhere. With Britney, all of sudden, discussing marriage with Kevin. Why Lynne "approves" of this star-crossed love affair, is beyond my comprehension.
I wish she would get out of this "Overprotected" state mind and actually start taking control over her out-of-control impulsivities. ‘Cause at this point her talk is real cheap.
But, I do hope this marriage is good for the 6 months to a year that it will last. --Bryan-Morgan
Well im first thought was "This cant be good" I thought, she had married him just like Jason, no family, not thinking, with regular clothes.
But then I read that she did invite her family (which means she wasnt drunk this time), that she cried, that she did wear a dress and he a tuxedo, Im happy for her now, and I hope they last forever, or well at least some years. --Britney´s_boy

Oops, she said "I do" again - and surprised even her mom! Pop princess Britney Spears pulled a shocker by marrying dancer Kevin Federline in an ultra-cheesy ceremony weeks ahead of schedule.
Even Britney's mom, Lynne, thought she was going to an engagement party Saturday night.
But the couple tied the knot instead in a five-minute ceremony at a friend's Studio City home in Los Angeles, with Britney sporting a new brunette hairdo, and later jamming to 1970s rock anthems.
"He was crying, she was crying," a source told Star magazine. "It was beautiful."
The surprise wedding means that Spears, 22, is now stepmother to the two children Federline fathered with the actress Shar Jackson, his ex-girlfriend.
Britney looked luscious in a strapless white gown with a tiara and long veil and carried a bouquet of pink and white roses, witnesses said. Federline, 26, wore a custom-designed black tux.
But no sooner had they swapped platinum wedding bands - plain for her, with diamonds for him - then Spears quickly changed into a velour sweatsuit for the supertacky afterparty at a Hollywood nightclub.
She ordered the entire wedding party to ditch their tuxedos and dresses for loungewear outfits, some of which were emblazoned with "Pimp" and "Pimp Daddy."
It was a less-than-touching moment No.2 on the year for Britney, who married childhood buddy Jason Alexander on a whim Jan.2 in Las Vegas. That union lasted all of three days before it was annulled.
The newest nuptials for Spears were not supposed to take place for at least a month, and friends and close relatives were told to come to Los Angeles for an engagement party.
A clue that something more serious was afoot could have been the appearance of her father, Jamie, who reportedly checked himself into rehab a few weeks ago to deal with addiction to booze and painkillers.
Britney reportedly had told pals she did not want to walk down the aisle until her dad was sober enough to attend.
The crowd of 15 was staying at an L.A. hotel when they were told about the big switcheroo and ordered to get ready for the shindig.
Spears had told pals she wanted a "storybook wedding," but opted for the tiny gathering at a friend's home in the decidedly unglamorous Studio City neighborhood. She spent the day at a spa getting pampered for the big day, and apparently having her hair dyed from her trademark blond.
Federline disappeared early in the morning to avoid seeing the bride-to-be before the wedding.
Paparazzi caught on that something momentous was happening when both families converged on the suburban house in the evening and helicopters soon buzzed overhead.
The couple exchanged vows, then guests dined on chicken fingers, crab cakes, ribs and Waldorf salad. The newlyweds danced to Journey's "Lights."
Gift bags included jeans, candy and a silver teardrop key ring with an image of the happy couple cuddling.
The whole party moved to a Sunset Strip nightclub, where Spears and Federline canoodled the night away. And in keeping with the evening's no-frills theme, there was no open bar and guests had to pay for their own booze.
On a bigger money matter, sources close to Spears say she caved in to her mother's demands and asked Federline to sign a prenuptial agreement.
Spears had infuriated her mom, who is also her manager, when she swore her marriage to Federline would last forever and resisted having her lawyers draw up the deal. Under California law, Federline could have claimed half the pop singer's vast fortune if marriage No.2 failed and there were no prenup.
The former teen queen insists, however, that it's until death does she part. She has been spending plenty of quality time with stepdaughter Kori, 2, and Kori's newborn brother, Kaleb.
And in a recent People magazine interview, she sang the praises of basic housework and getting pregnant. "I love cleaning, I really do. I'm like Suzy Homemaker. I'm starting to learn how to cook," she chirped.
"I definitely want to have some kids," she added. "I see myself with four or five."

You've got to hand it to Britney Spears; she's finally learned the first lesson of fame: Do not trust anyone with anything you want kept private -- even your own mom (especially one who writes an almost daily diary on a Web site dedicated to all things Britney).
While the paparazzi and Hollywood entertainment press quickly discovered Spears' wedding plans late Saturday night, the pop superstar was able to keep the lid on long enough to prevent a posse of circling helicopters from drowning out her private ceremony -- at least until it was over.
Perhaps Britney's decision to move up the date in hopes of having her father walk her down the aisle.
''It was really important to Britney to have her dad there,'' a close Spears insider told this column Monday. Jamie Spears had just been released from a three-week rehab stint. He had checked himself in to deal with an ongoing addiction to alcohol and painkillers.
''Britney wanted her dad there, but she wanted him there sober,'' the friend added.
After tying the knot with Kevin Federline at her wedding planner's Studio City, Calif., home, Spears, her groom, family members, close friends and trusted backup dancers invited to the party changed into sweat suits -- white for the boys, pink for the girls.
All that high drama obviously stirred some appetites: The wedding party and guests chowed down Louisiana-style on chicken fingers, crab cakes, ribs (doused with Britney's favorite barbecue sauce) and a Waldorf salad.
Maybe because the couple gifted guests with ''goody bags'' (containing jeans, candy and a silver-plated key ring with a photo of the happy couple), they felt they didn't need to go whole hog for the after-party at a Hollywood nightclub, which featured a cash bar! Dublin's, one of Federline's fave hangouts, was given only 15 minutes' notice ''that a celebrity would be arriving'' -- and didn't realize it was Spears & Co. until the group showed up.
The Spears-Federline party slipped into a VIP room where the music blasted and the drinks started flowing. Though she didn't sing, Spears finally did treat her ''guests'' to something of a lap dance for her groom -- hopping up on a table to shake her booty.
*In Las Vegas, the airport and several key casino/hotels were swarming with the usual horde of paparazzi who follow Spears' every move. Thanks to sly leaks from Spears' camp, many shutterbugs and tabloid writers rushed to Vegas thinking they'd catch Federline's rumored bachelor bash.

On Saturday, September 18, Britney and Kevin married in a secret traditional Kabbalah ceremony. The wedding was small, with close friends and family attending. The wedding was so secretive; guests were only notified 24 hours in advance of the ceremony's location of the wedding. Invitees of the wedding were given special gifts to commemorate the wedding. A source says, "The guests all got gift bags containing a pair of jeans, a packet of sweets called Chew Juicy, a pair of shoe laces and a silver teardrop key ring with an image of the happy couple cuddling inside." Oh, that sly Britney.
In her second surprise wedding this year, Britney Spears, 22, married Kevin Federline, 26, Saturday evening, a spokeswoman for the singer's record label confirmed Sunday.
This time, the pop princess donned a tiara instead of a trucker hat for a small, secret ceremony in a private home in Studio City, Calif.
On Jan. 3, Spears got hitched to childhood chum Jason Alexander at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas. That marriage, characterized by Spears' camp as "a joke (taken) too far," was annulled 55 hours later.
Among about 20 stunned family members at Saturday's nuptials: Spears' own mother, Lynne. According to Access Hollywood, which spent Saturday afternoon with Spears' mother and little sis Jamie Lynn, the family was preparing for an engagement party. Jamie Lynn died her hair back to her natural brown hue and neither were expecting the bride- and groom-to-be to exchange vows.
The five-minute wedding was held at 7:30 p.m. at the home of the tailor that created the bridal party's tuxedos, according to Star magazine's Web site. Star reports Spears wore a strapless white dress by designer Monique L'Huillier, with long veil and tiara, and she carried a bouquet of pink and white roses. Five bridesmaids and the maid of honor wore burgundy dresses and carried red roses. The groom and his groomsmen wore black tuxes. Entertainment Tonight reports they were on hand outside the home when the party broke up in the wee morning hours.
Invitations for an Oct. 16 wedding near Santa Barbara had already been mailed, according to Star, but that event is now being billed as a post-wedding party for the newlyweds' friends and family.
Spears gave no hints of wedding jitters in the days before Saturday's ceremony. She was in New York most of the week to launch her perfume, Curious, and catch a performance of the Broadway show, Wicked! The bride-to-be flew to Boston Friday to check out the Onyx Hotel, according to a Friday post on britneyspears.com by the singer's mother.
The only family event Lynne was anticipating in her Friday posting was a wrap party for Jamie Lynn's Nickelodeon show, Zoey 101.
No word on whether the couple are heading on a surprise honeymoon, too. Spears and Federline, a backup dancer on one of her earlier concert tours, met at a Hollywood club in April and fell fast for each other. In June, they announced their engagement with intentions of marrying this fall. Most reports pointed to a November wedding.

Ooops! Pop star Britney Spears did it again and got married for the second time this year -- this time to dancer Kevin Federline in a private ceremony in Studio City, California, "Access Hollywood" reported on Sunday. Spears, 22, and Federline, 26, surprised their parents with the unexpected ceremony, which took place in a private residence, according to a publicist for the syndicated entertainment news program.
On Jan. 2 year Spears married high school sweetheart Jason Alexander in an impromptu ceremony in Las Vegas. But the ill-fated marriage was annulled on Jan. 5.
Spears and Federline announced their engagement in June. Federline has two children with former girlfriend Shar Jackson.
Pop star Britney Spears has tied the knot -- again.
Entertainment Tonight is reporting the 22-year-old Spears married her fiance, dancer Kevin Federline, last night at a private home in Studio City.
Only a couple dozen friends and family members were in attendance.
Spears announced her engagement to the 26-year-old Federline in June.
He has appeared in the movie "You Got Served" and performed as a backup dancer for Spears' ex, Justin Timberlake.
It was the second marriage in nine months for Spears. In January, she got hitched to childhood friend Jason Alexander in a surprise wedding in Las Vegas. That marriage was annulled 55 hours later. --From the Palm Springs, CA KESQ News
BRITNEY SPEARS' fiancé KEVIN FEDERLINE told his family yesterday: "We're getting married...tonight."
Our exclusive pictures of the pair on their hen and stag nights would seem to back up the boast.
And though we went to press before any ceremony, we can confirm that friends and relatives are on stand-by for a wedding.
They were tipped off by a furious Britney after she learned that details had leaked out of their planned nuptials at the plush Bacara resort in Santa Barbara on November 20.
One source told us: "Britney is hoping to catch the Press off guard and do a Jennifer Lopez by marrying in secret.
"The Emmy TV awards are being held in Los Angeles this weekend and she is hoping that, with Press attention focusing on that, she can secretly tie the knot at home then throw a party as planned at Bacara."
Britney, who married childhood sweetheart Jason Alexander for 55 hours in January, dyed her blonde hair brown for her raucous three-day hen party with girlfriends at the Fairmont Hotel in Santa Monica.
Meanwhile, Kevin was enjoying a more downmarket stag night with his friends and family at his favourite restaurant Houston's, also in Santa Monica.
Britney's mum Lynne tried to scupper her party.
A source close to the singer said: "Lynne told Britney she'd be having her hen night back home in Kentwood, Louisiana.
"But Britney won and went ahead with the do with her pals."
Britney and Kevin have already had a dummy run for the wedding in the video for her new single My Prerogative.
In the promo she and Kevin—one of her dancers—exchange vows at the altar. He slips a huge diamond ring on her finger before they kiss.
The question is... were they doing the same thing for real last night? --By Rav Singh & Polly Graham
Britney Spears sure is getting this bride thing down pat.
Nine months after a quickie Las Vegas wedding and annulment, the pop tart did it again, getting hitched to her dancer boyfriend, Kevin Federline, Saturday night.
Spears' publicist confirmed to E! that the pair got married in a small, family-only ceremony in the Los Angeles area.
According to broadcast and print reports, the nuptials were so hush-hush that relatives--including Britney's mom--didn't know until the last minute.
Earlier reports in the glossies suggested the duo was eyeing a mega-wedding (think 200 guests) in either Spears' home state of Louisiana or a posh, celeb-friendly spot in Los Angeles or Santa Barbara this fall; Star magazine said last week that invites had gone out for an Oct. 16 wedding. But the duo eschewed the glitz, instead swapping vows in a private residence in Studio City, California.
Britney's mom, Lynne, wasn't even in on Saturday's under-the-radar ceremony, according to Star. However, Ma Spears was one of 20 family members on hand, along with Britney's kid sister, Jamie Lynn.
The magazine says the five-minute ceremony took place at 7:30 p.m. at the "relatively modest" home of the guy who designed all the tuxes for Federline and his groomsmen. The tailor reportedly is the ex-husband of the wedding planning--apparently the couple was trying to keep things as secretive as possible.
Spears, 22, reportedly wore a strapless white gown by Monique L'Huillier, complete with veil and, as appropriate for a pop princess, a tiara. She carried a bouquet of pink and white roses, per Star, while her five bridesmaids and maid of honor wore burgundy dresses and carried red roses.
The newlyweds sealed the deal with platinum bands.
Their first dance was reportedly not to the strains of seemingly appropriate Brit hits like "Baby One More Time" or "Oops!...I Did It Again," but to Journey's "City by the Bay."
According to Star, the Oct. 16 event will now be reworked as a party for the newlyweds' friends.
The marriage was Spears' sorta-second. Her first ring exchange with hometown pal Jason Alexander, then 22, became official on Jan. 2, but fizzled fast. The union was deep-sixed just 55 hours after it began, on Jan. 5. Three months later, she was happily downing Red Bulls and puffing cigarettes with Federline, whom she had met four years earlier and who had once served as a backup dancer to another of her exes, Justin Timberlake.
This is also the first marriage for Federline, 26, who, while a stranger to matrimony, is no stranger to fatherhood. Federline has two children with former Moesha star Shar Jackson, including a son born in July--just a month after Spears and Federline announced their engagement. --by Marcus Errico |E! Britney "Is Going to Have Her Fairy Tale Dream Wedding" |

The Sun reported that Britney has revealed she wants to try for a baby on her wedding night.
The singer marries dancer Kevin Federline next month and hopes to start a family right away.
Britney, 22, said: “I want to be a young mum. And that is my dream and you can judge me however you want because I’m happy. It is what I want.”
The star spoke out in an US TV interview — her first since getting engaged to Federline, 26, in June.
Britney, who will marry at a secret location in California, said: “It is going to be my fairy tale dream wedding.”
And she hit back at critics who say she is too young to wed — especially after her 55-hour marriage to childhood pal Jason Alexander, 22, ended in divorce.
She said: “When you are in love and you know that then you should go for it. I was into too much before and now Kevin is just one of those people that makes me go ‘Huh’.
“He keeps me sane and he is stable and gives me love, too, so that is not too bad is it?”
Britney started dating Federline in April — when he was in a relationship with actress Shar Jackson, 25 — mother of his two children.
Britney would not reveal where the wedding will take place but did say she would be packing a bikini for her honeymoon — and would be happy to receive lingerie as a wedding gift. |

I absolutely love britney's "my perogative" video. She is telling everybody that it doesn't matter what they think or what they say about her, she is going to do what she wants and live her life the way she wants to and that shows so much power and confidence. Those things are what make a great artist and Britney is definetly one of them. Rock on Britney!!! WE LOVE YOU!!! --CHIP
Hey! I absolutley loved the "My Prerogative" video! It was amazing. She looked beautiful in it. Sometimes I forget that it's Bobby Brown's song because it suits her so well. I think it's her best video yet! By the way, did you see how she used Curious in the video? I thought that was cute! Oh yeah, Kevin looked hot also! From, Keely
I had my bestfriend tape the premier of My Perogative on TRL because I was going to be in class. She was not very excited and reluctantly taped it. After she watched it, she called me screaming about how great it was and it could be one of her best videos yet. I had to see it myself and I must say, we have watched the video at least 30 times since it premiered yesterday. She is so amazingly beautiful. When she is making music, she is at her best. Its as if she is happy again and all of the bad press fades away. I was also surprised at how hot Kevin is. When you change his style, he looks amazing. If only Britney could get him to dress that way off the video set. I cant wait to watch the video again. --Brandy
I live in the UK, and My Prerogitive was premiered today (Thursday 16th Sept) on radio... I think it's an AMAZING song and it's already been predicted to go to number one when it's released here! I go on www.britneyspears.org everyday to look at updates on Britney because she is simply the best!! Your site rocks!! I think she should be left alone right before her wedding by all the press, because they are always complaining she looks trashy! She only looks spotty etc because of all of the stress from the camera's etc. If they leave her alone, maybe she would be able to look amazing (which I'm sure she will anyway) on her wedding day! She goes through alot and she doesn't deserve the critiscism she gets! Anyway, thanks for reading... --Mark Harrogate, England, UK
OMG I LUV THAT VIDEO :-D, the beginning is the best and VERY different than the others driving her car into a pool awsome. It was also cute when britney and kevin got married. idk what else 2 say! it was awsome! ok, well thats it, britneys always the best!!! always a fan --stephen
I personally think that the song choice "My Prerogative" may be good lyric wise, but the beat will definately have to grow on people I cant voice enough my dissapointment that Spears didnt release another "In the Zone" track. It was one of the better albums in the past 10 years, and i had hoped she would release more tracks in time for Christmas and continue the Onyx tour. It seems Spears' has accepted her reputation for fast burning albums despite "Zone's" legs. The video itself was much more risque than i had thought. Darker and more artistic too, its definately no "Toxic" but it is better than "Me Against The Music" and the video for "Everytime" but the song will have to grow on me, its not as good as "Toxic", "Oops" "Baby" "Stronger" "Touch of my hand" or "Breathe On Me" but theres about 1000 other Spears songs which it beats hands down. While i awaited the new track, ive been listening to Liveonrelease's "Im Afraid of Britney Spears" which im sure all Spears fans will find hillarious too. --Michael |

Britney Raps Sixteen Bars |

Boston DJ Clinton Sparks has a rapidly rising stature in the mixtape game but he is about to elevate his standing significantly in the pop game should he execute his latest plan with pop tart Britney Spears.
“The next mixtape I’m about to drop, I’m gonna have a first-ever Britney Spears rapping freestyle. She did sixteen bars, all rapping,” Sparks told AllHipHop.com exclusively.
While celebrities and athletes are common hosts of mixtapes, a celebrity of Spears’ nature rarely delves into the genre, which is generally considered street promotion.
While Sparks was tightlipped about revealing what Brittney offers lyrically and said that the anticipation is swelling.
“The curiosity factor on that will be so high, that everybody will want to at least hear it. I try to do things that will make my tapes stand out, and make people like MTV interested in them,” the spin doctor said.
The freestyle featuring Spears is taken from a collaboration Sparks did with U.K. born comedian Ali G., who hosts the popular HBO series "Da Ali G. Show." The Brit Spears mixtape freestyle can be expected in a month and, in the interim, Sparks will release a CD with DJ Kay Slay the Drama King.
Currently, Sparks is also preparing his self-produced album featuring Mobb Deep, Joe Buddens, and Capone-N-Noreaga, as well as producing mixtapes for Noreaga and Memphis Bleek. |

Britney Spears' stalker, Daniel Lechamp, is so determined to clear his name that he has penned nine love songs to reveal his feelings for the pop superstar.
The Canadian musician was arrested outside the home of Britney's mother in Kentwood, Louisiana, in April and charged with stalking after allegedly pestering the singer's parents.
Lechamp pleaded no contest to two counts of stalking and was sent back home to his native Quebec, Canada, on probation and told to seek counselling.
And, though he insists he'll honour the terms of his probation, and stay away from Britney's hometown, he isn't giving up his dream of courting Spears.
After calling into American TV show Celebrity Justice last month to plead his innocence, Lechamp has now appeared on the programme, during which he sang a heartfelt verse of a song to his celebrity crush.
He told the show's reporter: "Life's gonna bring us together, I know…I'll give what I have to give, everything I have."
Lechamp explained he has since shaved off his beard because he thinks it gave him the appearance of a stalker, but he insisted: "I'm not a stalker. To do stalking you need to do like months of proof that you're following the person. I just rang the bell at the (mother's) gate."
But Lechamp accepts he's a little odd: "I'm just a little bit crazy, maybe. You need to be crazy in life because it's keeping me from going insane." |

I just got a delightful email from Daphne about Britney's new perfume.
I was a recent high bidder on Britney's new Curious perfume on the ebay auction before her perfume was for sale to the public through retail stores. I paid much more than what it is selling for mow and I must say after receiving it, I feel that it is worth every penny I spent if not more. The bottle is absolutely georgous, like a blue diamond. The scent is light but powerful. It smells so wonderful that I can't help but constantly smell my wrists! Even my 5 year old daughter always has to have some on when I spray it on myself :) It is a very refreshing scent and everyone that has smelled it on me when I wear it has complimented on how nice it smells. Not only do I wear it every day, I also keep the bottle out for decoration! I own some high-priced, well-known brand perfumes and I don't even wear them anymore now that I have this perfume. This is definitely Britney's best product yet!

Dear Fans,
We are so excited about the launch of Britney's perfume "Curious" by Elizabeth Arden which is now available in department stores!
Britney had such a fun time in New York this week. She was lucky enough to stay at the Mandarin Oriental. It's brand new hotel located in the Time Warner Building. Britney said her room was gorgeous, the view of Central Park & the city's skyline was breathtaking and the hotel had a fabulous spa!
On Tuesday, there was an event held at Macy's so Britney could meet all the executives who worked so hard on helping to create her fragrance and she also met with 150 of her fans. The decor in the room they used for Britney's meet & greet with the fans was precious. It was set up to replicate a dressing room and had a pink couch, fluffy pillows, dim lighting, a plushy throw rug on the floor, costumes from her Onyx Hotel Tour hanging up along the wall and it even had a little section where they set up a hair & make-up area to complete the 'dressing room' vibe. Britney thought the room was adorable and enjoyed meeting with her fans.
After the Macy's event, Britney went to see the Broadway musical "Wicked" that we have been hearing so many rave reviews about. The reviews did NOT disappoint, she thought the play was fabulous! The show is about the untold story of the witches of Oz and basically provides another way to look at "The Wizard of Oz" with a really great moral behind it. Indina Menzel, Jennifer Laura Thompson and Joey McIntyre were the leads and Britney thought they all did an outstanding job. I have to go see this myself, the next time I'm in New York. As they say in New England, the show was "Wicked" good!
Speaking of New England, this morning Britney flew to Boston so she could finally see her Foundation Room at the Onyx Hotel and sign the wall. She called to tell me how much she loved the room and how she spent about 10 minutes looking at all of the collectibles in the Curio cabinet. It made me so happy to hear how much she enjoyed how the room turned out.
Jamie Lynn's show is wrapping at the end of this week and we have been filming on the beach since Monday. She is looking forward to the wrap party this weekend. This is always such a bittersweet feeling. We are both very excited to go home, but are sure to miss everyone we've become close with throughout the summer.
By the time you read this, Britney's "My Prerogative" video will have debuted on TRL- we all hope you love it! I can't wait to see the final version myself!

"Exclusive" Interview, Not So Exclusive |

BRITNEY SPEARS was in New York last night for the opening of her new fragrence line CURIOUS. Here is an exclusive interview by STEVEN COJOCARU. They talk a little about the My Prerogative video and about the big wedding.
Whether it's her upcoming marriage to KEVIN FEDERLINE, her new single, or the launch of her fabulous first fragrance -- pop princess BRITNEY SPEARS always has something up her sleeve. So, naturally, our STEVEN COJOCARU was more than a little "Curious" to hear what the 22-year-old songbird has planned next! Tonight on "The Insider," the bride-to-be sits down with Cojo to spill secrets and show him her video for "My Prerogative" in a private one-on-one screening!
"I have a surprise for you!" Britney tells Cojo. "Look at the screen ... no one has seen this!"
After weeks nursing an injured knee, Britney is finally releasing her new single, "My Prerogative," to the radio airwaves today. A sultry remake of the '80s BOBBY BROWN hit, the video for the song officially premieres Thursday on MTV's "TRL." It will be available on her new Jive Records album, which comes out Nov. 9 and features a collection of her dance-friendly hits "... Baby One More Time," "I'm A Slave 4 U" and "Toxic."
Watching the video, Cojo was stunned as Britney makes a daredevil entrance, revving her sportscar up and over a hedge and crash-landing in a backyard swimming pool. ("James Bond, I have arrived! This is so cool!" Cojo exclaimed.) She's also seen vamping it up at a party and frolicking in her undies on a satiny bed.
Although it has already made plenty of waves, Britney says the video is not all that outrageous: "It's not really pushing the envelope that much. It's kind of like a wild wedding party. It's classic old Hollywood glamour." Her fiancé, back-up dancer Kevin, is also featured prominently. "It's great to have someone you love in a video. I've never done that before. It was awesome!"
But that's not all Britney has going on. She's been developing her own perfume, skincare and makeup line with ELIZABETH ARDEN, and her first fragrance, "Curious," hits Macy's, Robinson's-May and Nordstrom this month.
"I think it's very nice when you're kissing the one you love," the bride-and-stepmother-to-be of two says. "[Kevin] totally approved it. He loves it. You know, he just says, 'Come kiss me, baby!'"
But what about that little, white, wedding Britney's been promising us? Cojo's on the case!
"It's gonna be my fairy-tale wedding! And lingerie. Give me some lingerie!" she begs.
And then?
"I want to be a young mom. That's my dream. You can judge me however you want. I'm happy. That's what I wanna do!"

(*)Yesterday was the day that I MET BRITNEY. It was INSANE in a really fantastic way. The whole situation was when I got to macy's I was waiting on line talking to other Britney fans and then before 3:00 we were sent inside to a room where they had a dj playing Britney music and a video wall playing Britney's DVD.
All these kinds of people kept on coming out, 2 of them were Bryan Spears and Kevin Federline, I was shocked to see them especially Bryan. Then after 2 guys came on and said something, then Britney came on with a huge reaction from the fans. She said that she was happy to be there and other stuff too. Then there was an annoucement saying we had to look on our passes for a number and they were going by 10, I was number 60. Then when they said 54 to 63 or whatever I was ready.
When I got in the room where Britney was at, Britney was sitting on a couch and a couple of other people and me went on the couch with her to take a picture with her that was going to be sent out to everybody. Before that, I didn't have time to finish to write my name and address because they said to go and they said I would be able to finish it after, but I didn't get too.
But anyway, after the photographer took out picture I went up to Britney and said 'You mean so much to me, I had been going through a rough time back in 1998 and your music helped me.' I then asked her if I could give a letter and a poem and she said yes. So I gave it too her which says a bunch of personal stuff that Britney has helped me with.
I am so lucky because I never thought this would have time to finish to write my name and address because they said to go and they said I would be able to finish it after, but I didn't get too.

Pop tart Britney Spears finally checked out her palazzette at Boston's Onyx Hotel yesterday, quietly slipping into town with fiance Kevin Federline after her much-ballyhooed Big Apple perfume launch. ``I can tell my mother designed this,'' the oft-barefoot songbird said as she walked through the door of the $259-a-night Britney Spears Foundation Room and bounced on the bed. ``It's got my mother written all over it.'' But it was Brits - not mum, Lynne - who signed the wall of the 10th-floor room decorated in soothing tones of beige and sage and outfitted with photo of Spears sporting a halo and a bra. And Lynne's kid recognized one of the fairy tchotchkes in the room's curio cabinet as a previous inhabitant of her childhood bedroom in Louisiana. (A portion of The Foundation Room revenues are donated to the annual Britney Spears Camp for the Performing Arts on Cape Cod and other Foundation activities.) After the future Mrs. Federline's quickie look-see - a tour she's been scheduled to take since May - she fled Boston at 3:30 p.m. on an American Airlines flight back to La-La. We hear Brits reserved the entire first-class section. |

Despite the many recent paparazzi shots showing Britney Spears barefoot with her clothes falling off, the singer's mother is coming to her defense and insisting that her daughter isn't "trashy." On the singer's Web site, Lynne Spears posted over the weekend that what happened to her superstar daughter (stepping on a floor-length skirt and it pulling down too low) has happened to many girls, but "luckily, there weren't hordes of paparazzi around to capture it in photos." As for Britney's tendency to walk barefoot, even in public restrooms, Lynne said that her daughter is under doctor's orders "to wear Uggs or tennis shoes and it's just too hot for that." "I guess it's easy to find these 'flawed' human moments when there's 10-14 cars of paparazzi documenting your every move," she wrote. "My daughter is not one that is going to give into the pressures of dressing up every single day in order to impress the paparazzi vultures that await her outside ... Britney always lets all of this roll off her back and not care about what they say."

This comes from "World Entertainment News Network" so take it as you want, they really do not have any credibiilty in the news the provide to me anymore after all the rumors they report
Britney Spears' ex-husband Jason Alexander says he had no idea when he signed an annulment of their Las Vegas wedding that it would end their relationship.
World Entertainment News Network reported Tuesday Alexander said he signed the annulment at the urging of the singer's relatives 55 hours after the impromptu marriage in Las Vegas last January.
He said Spears' relatives said they believed he and Spears should spend six months together as boyfriend and girlfriend and re-marry later if they were sure about their feelings.
"We really never had a chance to talk about it 'cause I wasn't (thinking) that this annulment was gonna totally end our relationship, friendship and I would never see her again," he said. "It was a quick marriage, moving fast. So we wanted to gather our thoughts and see if everything that (we) were feeling was real, or whatever."
However, once the annulment was signed, Alexander retuned to his home in Louisiana and he said he hasn't since had any contact with Spears, who is now engaged to Kevin Federline.

Britney's mother, Lynne Spears, has come out swinging on her daughter's Web site, posting an end-of-summer message in which she addresses "some of the media's negative onslaught of press that has been everywhere lately."
Particularly raising the ire of the elder Spears are published photos that, in her eyes, "are trying to depict Britney as, in their words, 'trashy.'"
For example, Lynne cites "the one where she stepped on her floor-length skirt and of course, it pulled down too low in the front. I saw her in this outfit that day and she looked absolutely adorable."
She also defends a recent shot that revealed her daughter walking barefoot while shopping at a convenience store, Lynne writes: "The doctor's orders are for her to wear Uggs or tennis shoes, and it's just too hot for that. Sometimes it just feels good to go barefoot in this heat and give her feet a rest."
In concluding a rant against what she calls "paparazzi vultures," Lynne (before wishing Britney's followers well as they head back to school) says: "I don't really care how the media depicts Britney because I know the truth, but I do care about how you, the fans, see her. Britney always lets all of this roll off her back and not care about what they say – but I, as her mother, feel the need to set the record straight."

While Britney Spears and her new groom-in-waiting prepare for their pending nuptials, they hit New York City stores to do a little shopping on Monday afternoon.
As they were swarmed by paparazzi as they made their way in and out of the NYC stores, there was one question they couldn't avoid from the over-anxious shutterbugs.
"Britney, tell us when you're getting married!" one photographer yelled with no response from Spears.
And while Brit was happy to smile for the cameras, she wasn't about to let the cat out of the bag on Hollywood's hottest secret.
But here's what Access Hollywood does know about the impending Spears-Federline marriage: the ceremony will most likely take place at the exclusive Santa Barbara Bacara resort sometime in the next 30 days.
Before they walk down the aisle, Kevin will celebrate his final single days at the Palms casino in Las Vegas, where a three-day bachelor blow out is scheduled for next weekend in the hotel's famous "Real World" suite.
This weekend, Britney is reportedly planning a girls' night for Friday at the Fairmount Hotel in Los Angeles and a more intimate engagement dinner with Kevin's family.
And while it's safe to assume Spears will wear shoes for her stroll to the altar, she's recently been seen running around town barefoot. The tabloids are giving her flack, but her mom Lynne is coming to her daughter's defense.
"The doctor's orders are for her to wear Uggs or tennis shoes and it's just too hot for that," Lynne contends. "Sometimes it just feels good to go barefoot in this heat and give her feet a rest." |

Unfortunately, we took down the MP3 of "My Prerogative" because of ethical and legal issues. We would have liked to keep up, however, after reviewing that fact that we are here to support Britney and help her career out, it would have be illogical to allow fans to freely download her music. The other reason is that we do not want to have a legal case on our hands. After being in one with the RIAA and Jive when I worked with BritneySpearsNow.com, I know it sucks. In addition, when a site is in close contact with the music industry and the recording company we do not really want to get them mad at us or break the friendship. Therefore, we are sorry we had to take it down. |

Various track lists for the forthcoming greatest-hits album from Britney Spears have been circulating on the Internet, causing fans to worry that the singer wouldn't be including some of their favorite songs, such as "I'm a Slave 4 U." Those worries turned out to be premature, as the official track list, made available on Monday, reveals that not only are the promised two new songs included in the collection, but so is a lesser-heard track that recently became a hit online.
Greatest Hits: My Prerogative, which is slated to come out on November 9, will include the singer's cover of the Bobby Brown hit "My Prerogative," as well as a new song called "Do Somethin' " and the dance cut "(I've Just Begun) Having My Fun." The latter song is from the "In the Zone" sessions and was originally found as a bonus track on the European version of Spears' "In the Zone" DVD.
Other songs on the 17-track compilation include "Toxic," "I'm A Slave 4 U," "Everytime," "... Baby One More Time," "Stronger" and "Oops! ... I Did It Again."
Spears' single "My Prerogative" hits radio on Wednesday, while the video will premiere on "TRL" on Thursday.
Britney Spears' Greatest Hits: My Prerogative track list, according to Jive Records:
"My Prerogative" "Toxic" "I'm a Slave 4 U" "Oops! ... I Did It Again" "Me Against the Music" "Stronger" "Everytime" "... Baby One More Time" "(You Drive Me) Crazy (The Stop Remix!)" "Boys" "Sometimes" "Overprotected (The Darkchild Remix)" "Lucky" "Outrageous" "I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet a Woman" "(I've Just Begun) Having My Fun" "Do Somethin' "

Pop diva Britney Spears is apparently splashing out on a 72-hour hen party.
The star will convert her luxury Malibu mansion into "a chick den" for her eight closest friends to celebrate her last few weeks as a single girl next weekend.
The 22-year-old singer is due to marry Kevin Federline, her boyfriend of six months, in November.
Meanwhile Kevin will be in Las Vegas for a stag weekend of gambling.
He and seven friends will be sent out there with a briefcase full of cash.
"Britney really has pulled out all the stops, she wants both herself and Kevin to have stag and hen weekends they will remember forever," said a source close to the star.
"She doesn't really want the attention of going out on the town, so she has opted to have a party at home, but it won't be your average girls' night in.
"There will be movies, pampering and maybe even a stripper." |

Dear Fans,
It's now the un-official end of summer. I hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend. As for myself, I had a terrible sinus infection and spent the entire time (except for Jamie Lynn's hair appointment on Saturday) in bed, resting.
Britney had a girlfriend over to visit and they spent the day laying out by the pool. Kevin went golfing with his friends and cooked dinner for everyone.
Britney has been trying to take it easy on her knee. Blockbuster is about as much excitement as she can handle. Most of her days lately are strictly routine: physical therapy, massages and regular day to day stuff to keep her busy.
"My Prerogative" is set to hit radio and MTV next week, be sure to look out for it!
We went to see the movie "Paparazzi" this weekend. I don't know if we enjoyed it so much because the movie was so good, or if it was because we just identified with it so closely. All fan news aside, I really feel the need to clarify some of the media's negative onslaught of press that has been everywhere lately. I've come across numerous photo's where they are trying to depict Britney as, in their words, "trashy". They are using various photo's to try to illustrate their point, for example, the one where she stepped on her floor length skirt and of course, it pulled down too low in the front. I saw her in this outfit that day and she looked absolutely adorable. Girls, I am sure this has happened to you before, but luckily, there weren't hordes of paparazzi around to capture it in photo's. As for her walking barefoot, The Doctor's orders are for her to wear Uggs or tennis shoes and it's just too hot for that. Sometimes it just feels good to go barefoot in this heat and give her feet a rest. But then again, I guess it's easy to find these "flawed" human moments when there's 10-14 cars of paparazzi documenting your every move. My daughter is not one that is going to give into the pressures of dressing up every single day in order to impress the paparazzi vultures that await her outside. I don't really care how the media depicts Britney because I know the truth, but I do care about how you, the fans, see her. Britney always lets all of this roll off her back and not care about what they say- but I, as her mother, feel the need to set the record straight. I don't know why the media has picked Britney to be the current celebrity they most love to hate, but they have...
On a lighter side, I hope all of you are getting ready to gear up for your fall routines and get back into the school swing of things!

Now, I will tell everyone that the New York Daily News isn't the best place to get your information, it's more like a tabloid/gossip newspaper with the entertainment but read this.
What could be more cheesy and entertaining than Britney Spears and Kevin Federline's upcoming wedding? Why, Federline's bachelor party, of course.
Lowdown hears that the beleaguered pop tart is treating her fiancé and his pals to three days and nights in the "Real World" Suite in Las Vegas' Palms Casino Hotel for his official farewell to the single life.
It normally costs $10,000 a night to rent the three-bedroom, 2,900-square-foot palace.
Spears' rep, Leslie Sloane Zelnik, initially told Lowdown: "Britney is friends with the owner of the hotel, so you do the math. I'm not involved in the planning."
But an hour later, Zelnik scoffed at the idea of a Vegas bachelor party for Federline and his guests - including, strangely, Dennis Jackson, the brother of "Moesha" actress Shar Jackson, Federline's abandoned ex-girlfriend and the mother of his two kids.
Yesterday, a rep for the Palms Casino also denied that Spears had booked any rooms.
According to a Lowdown spy close to Shar, Federline is getting a $2,000 monthly stipend from his future wife, but so far isn't sharing it with his 2-year-old daughter, Kori, and 2-month-old son, Kaleb.
"Shar's going to take him to court after the wedding - that's the only way to do it. He's dead-ass broke," said the spy.
But Zelnik said: "As far as the childsupport payments, he writes a check every month. I'm uncomfortable asking the amount. He sees his daughter all the time."
Zelnik added: "Kevin has his own money, and there's no allowance being paid to him."
Meanwhile, Britney's first husband, childhood friend Jason Alexander, insults Federline in a radio interview on "The Larry Elder Show" which debuts Monday.
"Looks like a punk," Alexander sniffs, adding that Britney's relatives are equally unimpressed. "I know her family, so I know what they really think and what they're saying."
Britney's ex-husband tells Elder: "I can say I was in love with her."
But he does he want to be married to her?
"Now? After everything? No, I wouldn't," he says. "Nothing against her, but I wouldn't want to be a part of that family, man." |

"My Prerogative" Hits the Streets |

In her remake of Bobby Brown's "My Prerogative," Britney Spears sings about keeping it real. And fittingly enough, Ms. Brit has just found herself in one of the realest places in the music industry: on a mixtape. Spears' new joint has hit the streets.
If you check out the Real Tapemasters Inc.'s The Future of R&B, Spears is all the way down at track 12 with her new single.
"They can never take away your truth. But the question is, can you handle mine?" she sings in a few breaths above a whisper as the record begins. The track doesn't have the hard thump of Brown's New Jack Swing-era, bass-laden original, but Brit doesn't deviate too far from Bobby's original lyrics, just switching up here and there for gender's sake.
"They say I'm crazy, I really don't care, that's my prerogative," she sings. "They say I'm nasty, but I don't give a damn/ Getting boys is how I live/ Some ask me questions, why am I so real?/ But they don't understand me, or really don't know the deal/ About a sista trying hard to make it right."
And if her words hold true, it won't be long before she wins her fight. It also won't be long before we see the video for the song: According to her label, there are plans for the clip to air next week. In the clip, the singer drives into a swimming pool and gets married, among other activities.
Britney, whose collaboration with the Ying Yang Twins, "I Got That (Boom Boom)," hit the mixtape circuit last year, also has her name ringing bells in the underground these days courtesy of Jadakiss' recent street remix of "Why." No, the headline grabber isn't featured on the song, but she does get called out by track guest star Common.
"Why they hype Britney up? They know she can't sing," he raps.
"My Prerogative" is the first single from Britney's Greatest Hits: My Prerogative, due in November.

Britney Spears’ mother is rushing to her daughter’s defense after the pop star was blasted for not attending her own charity event.
Spears has been spotted cavorting out and about with her fiancé — back-up dancer and father of two illegitimate children Kevin Federline — but has been largely AWOL from many fan events. Most recently, some fans were outraged when she didn’t attend her own charity, “Camp for the Performing Arts” for underprivileged 11-to-15-year olds.
Britney’s mom took to the star’s Web site to defend her little girl and blamed Brit’s injured knee. “Britney was devastated that she wasn’t able to make it to the Camp this year,” Lynne Spears wrote in her “Lynne’s Corner” feature. “She found out from her doctor on a follow-up visit that her knee had become too swollen for her to fly anywhere.” A two-way satellite feed was set up so that Spears could watch the campers and they could see her — but that only lasted 15 minutes. Lynne blames technical problems, and assured fans that that Britney has asked for a tape so she can watch it.
Spears also didn’t attend the dedication of the Britney Spears Foundation Room at the Onyx Hotel in Boston earlier this summer, but her mother had lunch with the two lucky 14-year-old contest winners. But, gripes one fan, “Britney used to really be there for us all the time, but now her mom comes instead.”

So, I went to big Macy's at Herald Square today. I went to the "Curious" counter. There were a few older ladies there checking out the perfume. I went to the counter and looked at the bottles when the sales lady came up to me and asked if I needed any help. I told her I was just looking and proceeded to ask her how sales were doing with the perfume. This is what she said:
"Oh! you wouldn't believe it, it is selling extremely well. It has been selling a lot and we've only received the bottles last week. I think a lot of people are suprised at the smell the perfume. It smells really good (then she prayed on sample card for me to smell - it does smell good) Every likes it, people buying it are from young to even older women. We just had a few (older)employees stopping in from Macy's in Ohio, buying the perfume. Our Macy's - on Herald Square, is one of the first to get this perfume so people are coming in to check it out."
(at the same time, I spotted a middle age man across the counter smelling then taking a sample pak) A woman in her 30s joined me as the lady went on to explain:
She started to exlpain what was in the perfume: Louisianna Magnolia, wrapped in vanilla infused musk. She showed me the bottle and explained how the box opens like a flower. She whisper to us saying that this perfume will give Victoria the run for her money...im guess Victoria Secret perfume. She tried the Shimmer on the lady next to me. Looks good. She went on to exlplain about the chance to meet Britney next week and how they are expecting a LOT of people here during pre-sales to get the VIP passes.
I got my sample pak. It's funny because the counter is right across from Beyonce's True Star. Did I forget to mention that I am a guy, so it was really weird for me to go in there, but hey, it was all worth it. IMO, I think Curious by Britney Spears looks very promising.)

Dear Fans,
The 5 year reunion at the Camp turned out to be a great success. I was so privileged to see this year's performance. I couldn't believe how much talent was under one tent. Donna Luther and all the instructors do such an amazing job teaching the children their routines in 7 short days of classes!! They all blew me away with their singing, dancing, acting, writing and playing of musical instruments. It was so wonderful to see how the returning campers had grown and gotten even better with their skills. The confidence levels in these children when they are on stage is amazing. It was great to see the ones that had come from New Orleans as well.
Britney was devastated that she wasn't able to make it to the Camp this year. She found out from her doctor on a follow up visit that her knee had become too swollen for her to fly anywhere. We were able to set up a satellite feed so Britney could see the performance and the campers were able to see her watching them. About 15 minutes into the show, the connection was lost. The Camp promised to send Britney a tape of the entire performance so she could watch it. We were able to get the connection back up during the dance later that night and Britney was able to talk to all the campers for a little bit. They were also the first ones to hear the final mix of Britney's version of "My Prerogative" and they were all thrilled! Thank all you campers again for allowing me to be part of your special performance day and making me feel so welcome. I was honored to be there. And, it wasn't until answering questions from some of them that I realized how many rumors there are about Britney and the wedding right now. If you believe the press, Britney and Kevin have been scheduled to be married every weekend since they got engaged. It all really makes me laugh- but I am sorry that you have to hear such nonsense. We will be putting photo's from the week at Camp up on the website soon, so make sure you look out for those!
Jamie Lynn and I had our 1st vacation week back at home. Jamie Lynn was able to go to her school's pep rally, cheer at a ball game and spend an entire day playing in softball tournaments. Every night she had 3 or 4 friends staying over the house. I think she is officially caught up on her social life at home. It was so wonderful to sleep in our own beds and for me to drink coffee out of our own coffee pot. Oh- the simple pleasures in life!
I read the USA Today article "Stalking Britney: A Papparazzo's Story" last week and I felt it truly captured and highlighted how dangerous, horrifying and intrusive the papparazzi can be on a day to day basis. I don't know, it's just that Jamie Lynn and I are very selfish about sharing the time we do get to spend with Britney and it would be nice if there weren't always 10-15 cars of papparazzi ruthlessly trying to capture every moment as well.
Britney can't wait to see the first edit of her "My Prerogative" video. Even though she didn't get to do any dancing in it, since the setting is so beautiful, she is sure she is going to love it.
We think, (we hope) we have finally found the ideal house for her and Kevin.
In a few weeks, Britney is going to be launching her Curious fragrance line at an event in New York. She's also still trying to figure out a time to stop in Boston and sign the wall in the Britney Spears Foundation Room at the Onyx Hotel. She's so excited to see the room in person. I bet she's going to have a wave of deja vu since it looks so much like her real bedroom in Louisiana!
Wedding plans are sill moving along slowly but surely. I feel so bad mentioning it because I can't tell you anything!!! As I promised before, I'll tell you details afterwards.
I know everybody is starting school soon, if you haven't already. So, have a fun & safe Labor Day weekend and get some rest. It's going to be a busy school year!

Heh, I thought this was kind of funny so I'm going to post it. The #1 porn star in the world, Jenna Jameson, has a new book out entitled, "How to Make Love Like a Porn Star: A Cautionary Tale." Well, tv channels like E! and VH1 have been doing biography type tv shows and other websites have been writing about her. One thing they were mentioning was the rumors that have been associated with her and her "repuation." One rumor they mentioned was having a romantic link with Britney Spears. Jenna and Britney both deny. "I wish," said Jenna however. This rumor was created back in 2001 and 2002, probably after Jenna Jameson admitted that she would love to have Britney. |

Thanks to mcgarthkg for posting the lyrics to the song "Guilty" in our forums.
Guilty
You’re always too busy Why don’t you come with me? Don’t act like you don’t hear me Neglected You’re guilty
He noticed no one was with me I started getting so friendly He told me I was too pretty I flirted I’m guilty
I have no reason to lie I told you a thousand times I needed him by my side But you we’re nowhere to be found
You pushed you’re luck Now it’s all messed up But you went too far When you broke my heart And now my God
No use in you So what I gotta do To satisfy all my needs? And I guess that makes me guilty
Stop wonderin’ a thing but I wanted you so bad it’s danger (????) It’s true now you point the finger (????) Convict me I’m guilty
You ain’t do ---- So good for ---- Not like I did it on purpose The verdict is nothing He needs me Guilty
I have no reason to lie I told you a thousand times I needed you by my side But you we’re nowhere to be found
You pushed you’re luck Now it’s all messed up But you went too far When you broke my heart And oh my God
No use in you So what I gotta do To satisfy all my needs? And I guess that makes me guilty
You pushed you’re luck Now it’s all messed up But you went too far When you broke my heart And oh my God
No use in you So what I gotta do To satisfy all my needs? And I guess that makes me guilty
I don’t cry There ain’t nothing wrong That’s why I decided to sing a song about ----
I’m thinkin’ Girls hearts breakin I was out weepin’ in a --------- And fakin’
You sit there and say I’m filthy When you’re the one who made me guilty
You pushed you’re luck Now it’s all messed up But you went too far When you broke my heart And oh my God
No use in you So what I gotta do To satisfy all my needs?
You pushed you’re luck Now it’s all messed up But you went too far When you broke my heart And oh my God
No use in you So what I gotta do To satisfy all my needs? And I guess that makes me guilty Guilty Guilty (x7) |

Britney's Gum: "This is an all-time low" |

Buyers are chomping at the, um, bids for Britney Spears' used chewing gum on eBay. The market for her sticky spoils has been volatile, with prices stretching at one point to nearly $3 million.
Nearly two dozen listings for her used gum have popped up since the "original" auction appeared last month. "This is an all-time low," says Spears spokeswoman Leslie Sloane Zelnick. "Anything is possible, I've come to realize, and I do think it's pathetic.
eBay chewed out the original posting for violating its "human body parts and remains" policy, which prohibits the sale of--you guessed it--human body parts, including bodily fluids, and temporarily pulled it from the site.
The auction had bragged: "For you budding scientists out there, this means Britney's DNA is all over this piece."
The seller, who claims Britney spit out the gum, dubbed Britney Spear-mint, in the Sanderson Hotel foyer in London last February, was allowed to remarket the item as a collectible and post again on eBay. Hani Dursey, spokesperson for the online auction site, said it wasn't the first violation of its kind. Earlier in the year, eBay pulled out the body-part card when a seller marketed Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's half-eaten cough drop under the heading "Schwarzenegger's DNA."
The claim for Britney's DNA hasn't been substantiated by any independent tests. In fact, the only testament to the authenticity of the gum is the seller's word.
"Well, you have my word if that means anything to you. Of all things, I would not put something on eBay that was not true. Not meaning to brag, but I have a high-profile job in a top bank and have no need to want to fraudulently make money," the U.K.-based seller says.
Dursey made it clear that eBay does not authenticate items on its site.
"We're just a marketplace, and because it's not us that's selling, there's no way to confirm the authenticity," Dursey explains.
eBay encourages buyers to do their own research. They allow buyers to ask sellers questions and provide a system to rate sellers based on their previous eBay sales.
"We try to make the marketplace as transparent as possible," says Dursey.
A few listings have been blatant hoaxes. Speed Harris from the U.K. was amused by the increasing number of postings all claiming to be real.
"I put one up there that is clearly a hoax that takes the mick out of the other ones," Harris says.
His listing claims he lifted the gum out of her mouth while "boofing" her. Not everyone, however, realizes it's a joke, because Harris has recorded quite a few people watching the item. Then there's an auction heading that reads, "Not Britney Spears Chewing Gum not to be missed," which goes on to explain, "Not famous yet, but I may be soon, so get in early." The bidding for this listing has reached $8.47.
Gum isn't Britney's only trash turned treasure. An empty water bottle, purportedly left behind on the beach in Santa Monica, as well as her cigarette butts, are also on the eBay block.
One piece of Britney junk not attracting much interest: a copy of A Mother's Gift, the book she cowrote with mother Lynne. As of Wednesday night, no one had anted up the 99-cent opening bid.
Currently, the highest price for Britney's detritus is $14,000 for gum left behind at a New York concert in 2002, and one of the most recent items is a chewy taken from the 2004 MTV Video Music Awards.
So, how long before the hoaxsters--or Britney--put "Kevin Federline" on the block? And would that really violate eBay's human-parts ban? |

Oops, Britney Spears spit out her gum in public again and now you can reap the benefits. More than 20 eBay auctioneers are selling what they claim to be Spears' used chewing gum for prices ranging from 1 cent as an opening bid to $14,000 for the gum the pop star was supposedly chewing when she kissed Madonna at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards. "My friend was working security and saw her spit one piece of gum in the trash," the seller says in the post. Fans can also purchase a used cigarette butt, for which the current high bid is $250. Not a Britney fan? Bid on gum chewed by Christina Aguilera (99 cents), Eminem ($1) or Jessica Simpson (99 cents).

I was out in a club tonight (02Sept04) and asked for Bobby Brown: My Prerogative. The DJ said, "Its one of the best ever... But you're clearly a Britney Fan yeah?" and finished with "I'm waiting for her take on it! She'll get the crowd going!!" He played My Prerogative followed by a mega mix of Baby/Crazy/Slave/Overprocted/Boys. Then the full song Toxic!!! The crowd went MAD... how that song missed out on a VMA is beyond me! VMAs may never have been her highlight, but EMAs are a different story! The girl rocks Europe and we cant wait for EMA 2004 over here! GO BRITNEY!!

Britney Failed To Show Up At Her Annual Kids Camp |

Z100 reported Britney upset her young fans this past weekend when she failed to show up for her annual kids camp visit.
The "Toxic" hit maker funds the Britney Spears Camp For The Performing Arts in South Yarmouth, Massachusetts, and while she stayed at home in Santa Monica, California with her fiancé Kevin Federline, she sent her mother Lynne instead.
It's the second time this summer Britney has let her fans down - she failed to show up at the opening of her special hotel suite in Boston's Onyx Hotel in July, which helps raise money for the superstar's charity The Britney Spears Foundation, and again sent her mom along to meet and greet disappointed youngsters.
Despite Lynne's declarations last week that Britney was "really looking forward to meeting this year's campers," she was a sole visitor at Cape Cod over the weekend and told campers, "Britney would have loved this."

Britney Spears and her mother, Lynne, have contributed a family recipe for seafood pasta to celebrity cookbook "Star Palate," which benefits the Marsha Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. "Both Britney and I are committed to doing whatever we can to help further research for this devastating disease, and were honored to support this project in a significant way," the singer's mother said in a statement. The book, which will hit shelves in October, will also include how-to's from Tori Amos, Anastacia, Billy Joel and Alice Cooper, as well as from noted chefs. |
